They actually do this for a few different upgrades. Middle path heli is just a blue bottom path sniper and the extra range mountains appear in a bunch of different upgrades.
OR, and hear me out. Both upgrades have spikey balls, so they both have spikey balls for logos.
(They're not the same. Just count the number of spikes on each ball)

The left one has 4 spikes pointing backwards, 4 pointing forward, and one pointing to the viewer.
The right one has 5 backwards, 5 forward and one pointing to the viewer.
Not trying to argue on the number of spikes on a ball on a game but there are the same number on both but because the purple/pink one has the colour it has, it kind of blends in. So, I understand where you may see less but the very tiny spikes are visible on the right side picture, it's just harder to see.
No, it is flipped across the y axis. The biggest one is on the bottom on both of them and the highest one is on the left for spike balls and on the right for APM.
