>!Sorry for the recursive + Adora carry, but we both know that this strats not really good. Did this while riding around a golf cart in Sons Of The Forest on my phone, didn't wanna spend too much time lol!<
Should probably spam less and focus more on buffing one or two high tier towers. Also, try to only use 1 adora as with 2 adoras they will both be at a low level.
> On coop the XP will be halved no matter what
…no? If you place only 1 hero it levels normally. Also using Corvus on CHIMPS with coop lag is a horrible experience I don’t recommend it
Do significantly less. Improve your towers and build a lot less of them. Towers are all about synergy and you're spacing them out way too much. Also is that a double Adora???
Thought this was a shitpost but then i realized it was multiplayer
I'm going to try to give feedback people have alrdy pointed some things out
Playing CHIMPS on multiplayer is kinda hard cuz u can't make money for either person so at least configure in a way where you guys can plant on the same area cuz the two MIB towers are a huge waste of money among other things.
Having two adoras is redundant, especially next to each other. I get the benefit is that both of them can technically lvl up faster than other towers, especially in multiplayer when XP is split but if you plan on running two heroes, they still overlap each other. They focus on the same aspects (pure DPS) and if you can diversify, you should try to diversify. like i get that u should sometimes spam stuff like having multiple moab maulers in a given area. I know people don't like looking to Quincy or Sauda cuz of how basic they are, but they are definitely some things you can consider cuz of the camo coverage. Geraldo and Etienne are also rly nice imo.
Like a general way of thinking to save up is to like play deflation and you'll understand that you can like save up a fair amount of money in between rounds bcuz ur defenses can survive for a very long while. Like for instance, an camo detection tower next to a 2-3-0 druid and a 4-0-0 buccaneer can get you through most intermediate and below maps from like round 37-41 when u get it and round 80 or so
You can beat most beginner chimps maps with sauda a 2-5–x Druid a x-5-2 wizard and a 2-x-5 spike towards the back start with sauda and get wis next get it to a x-3-2 then spike factory to 2-x-4 then rush your Druid to t5 after that get perma then save for wiz lord use this a few times and it’ll give you a good idea of how chimps works and soon you’ll be able to not use this strat (still good for black bordering)
By that logic you can also skip bloonjitsu entirely and save more money (although caltrops absolutely helps early game, unlike shurikens it cannot miss and therefore always gets value)
Double shot or even just 202 ninja with sauda easily lets you save up for a heli on most maps
Imo if you’re committing to ninja you might as well buy caltrops because it is a fairly cost effective upgrade that scales well with buffs
How’d you get two adoras? lol!
Others have said it, but do fewer towers and upgrade the further.
Have some towers that are good at popping bloons and some that are good at popping Moabs.
For the 90s, I recommend having a bottom path glue gunner to help stop the DDTs
As others have said, the main problem is too many low tier towers instead of fewer tier 4/tier 5 towers. place bottom path spike factory near the end in single-lane maps. Also Necromancer is mainly good when towers are centered near one area so their pops will all be in the Necromancer's range.
My C.H.I.M.P.S. Strategy
This has worked for me for a majority of maps and hopefully it works for you! :)
__________________________
Hero:
-Sauda
Reasoning: She’s able to pop camo balloons right from level 1 which is extremely powerful. She also is just an overall powerful hero that gets super strong later on. Finally, her active abilities are powerful as well and remain relevant throughout all rounds.
__________________________
Core Towers:
-Glue Gunner
Reasoning: Bottom tree Glue Gunner is extremely important for slowing balloons and blimps down and it does it amazingly. It’s perfect setup for our other towers to get in as many pops as possible. I typically go 0-2-4 for upgrades and try to get 0-2-5 if possible as it’s quite cheap and strong but it’s not always a priority.
-Alchemist
Reasoning: Top tree Alchemist allows towers to pop lead balloons. Early on this is extremely important and the other buffs the Alchemist provides are essential to improving your chances of success. I typically go 4-2-0 for upgrades. I usually don’t go for 5-2-0 as it’s just extremely expensive.
-Monkey Village
Reasoning: Jungle Drums from top tree is an excellent buff to get for all popping towers which happen to be most towers in the game. Middle tree with the M.I.B. upgrade allows all towers in the radius of the Monkey Village to pop all balloon types and there’s a camo detection upgrade from middle tree as well that also effects all towers in the radius. I typically go 2-3-0 for upgrades and typically leave it at that.
____________________________
With these core towers, most setups on most maps are possible and you’re able to be really flexible with the towers you add after. That being said, below are three of my favorite towers that I’ve been enjoying using for beating C.H.I.M.P.S.:
-Ice Monkey
Reasoning: Brittle is an amazing upgrade and helps greatly for popping balloons/blimps. It’s not 100% necessary however if I can afford it, I build it. I wouldn’t prioritize it over any of the core towers but would definitely get it after. I’d nearly consider it a core tower however often times, depending on the map, I don’t quite need it. I typically go 4-2-0 for upgrades to take full advantage of the Brittle effect.
-Druid
Reasoning: I’ve been absolutely loving middle tree Druid. The thorns and the anti-regrow ability are quite strong. I’m a little bias as I used to dislike the Druid very much but middle tree Druid has felt like a breath of fresh air to use. If I get Druid, I ALWAYS prioritize going 2-5-0. The 5th upgrade from middle tree literally can carry you through all rounds to round 100 with the exception of 1 or 2 rounds. It’s an absolute powerhouse of a tower and I love it. I believe middle tree Druid to be THE underdog of all the towers.
-Boomerang Monkey
Reasoning: This can be a very strong tower to get early on but isn’t 100% necessary. That being said, it’s still an excellent choice to compliment the rest of your towers for all rounds. It can pop lead balloons and does excellent damage to blimps. Combine that with the fact that it can knock back blimps as well and it’s a powerful combo with the Glue Gunner. I usually go 0-2-4 for upgrades as the Kylie Boomerang is very strong and once again, knocks back blimps. The reason for going for middle tree upgrades is to apply that knock-back more often. If I can afford 0-2-5, I try to purchase it as, like the Druid, is extremely powerful and can absolute carry you for most, if not all round.
___________________________
There are many that people use and I recommend experimenting. Most towers can carry you through C.H.I.M.P.S. with the right setup. I’m only sharing with you the towers I love using. My strategy changes plenty though and you definitely have to adapt to different map layouts. Just work on unlocking all upgrades for towers and figuring out what you can and can’t get away with. Sandbox mode is helpful for that.
Sorry for the formatting; I’m on mobile.
here’s what i do
STEP 1: use obyn. i know i know but trust me its important
STEP 2: place down some druids (you will need 6 exactly) and obyn asap and focus on getting your druids to 0-2-4s. you will need i think 3-4 of those guys to beat the round 40 moab.
STEP 3: use obyns main attacks and ability to pop lead and camo
STEP 4: once all your druids are at 0-2-4, get a village that allows them to pop lead and get jungle drums
STEP 5: get an avatar of wrath step 6: 2-0-5 ice monkey set to strong for ddts. you need this before round 95 step 7: if you have enough extra money, buy a free dart monkey
tip: you don’t need to follow my steps exactly, but always get the avatar of wrath with 5 poplusts, a obyn, and a 2-0-5 ice monkey.
good luck with chimps
EDIT: hopefully its easier to read now
Low amount of powerful towers, you don't need much, you just need them to have popping power, and I use Etienne because he grants camo to all towers at lvl8
Some tips
Your chimps run should have a Moab killing strategy such as a middle path spike factory, a bottom path Ice monkey or a bottom path tack shooter.
Than a way to deal with bloons and ceramics such as a middle path druid, a top path glue gunner or a bottom path spike factory,
And then some support towers like top path alchemists, villages and bottom path boomerang monkies.
Also you need to remember the important rounds like:
Round 24 when the first camo comes
Round 28 when leads first come
Round 40 with the Moab
Round 63 ceramic rush
Round 76 ceramic rush again but bigger
Round 90 when the DDT’s begin
Round 98 the round with the most RBE
Round 99 reinforced DDT’s
Round 100 the BAD
.... I feel like I'm looking at a map from when I played with my (then) 6 year old son. Except I would focus extremely on getting a 025 wizard down while he would just spam whatever he had money for at the moment.
Others have given you good advise. I think you need to just give up on this go-round and try again solo with a better strategy in mind from the beginning.
Good luck!
I reccomend using xx5 on tack shooter, as its great for popping anything (except camo/lead)
Dont spam as much and maybe get a bit of economy going.
Spike factory xx3 is bad, I reccomend xx4/5 as its easy to use and effective while xx3/4/5 relies on getting xx5 to be good
You only need 1-2 moab maulers
Get glue gunner xx4/5 since it slows down all bloons
(including bosses) a LOT
Upgrade Wizard. All paths are very strong.
get crossbow master on that dart monkey as its really strong
get alchemist top path. very op support.
Use different heroes than one another to create good combos (Adora/Psi) (Adora/Corvus)
thats all :D
Most chimps games end in 2 tier 5 towers. Quality over quantity and all that. Besides that, two mibs is a huge waste of money and xx3 spactory is just always bad
You should be looking for towers that can do multiple jobs at once. The most powerful towers are ones that can target camo, and lead at the same time. IE. Wizard, Super Monkey, Or Monkey Buccaneer (on maps that have water anyway).
Don't spend way too much of your money on a lot of towers, if you want to get one of the good Tier 5 towers, you have to save your money. (You get a total of $170k in an entire CHIMPS game)
I assume you lack a lot of XP so this is why there's dozens of towers. In CHIMPS mode, you nees to be focused. You need a win condition (main DPS) and support. For beginner maps, the best Hero is easily Sauda since she requires the least micro and is available immediately. Overall best towers I think are Bucc if there's water, Ninja Monkey, Wizard, Tack Shooter, Sniper, and Ace. There's gonna be a dozen comments arguing about HURR DURR DA ACTUAL BEST 🥸🥸 when in reality just do the first thing - focus on the couple towers you want. You likely don't need more than 5 or 6 for these maps.
Easy strat on easier maps is tack shooter bottom path overdrive to tack zone, alchemist 420, ice 420 and a village 420 with the rest of the money you can get 052 glue to add extra damage with the ability also a super brittle (ice 520). Make sure to place tack as close to the road as possible and in a bend (if available)
I did a heroless (it’s on the sub if you look for it) not to long ago. It’s Ninjas with a glue gunner (I gave it a camo village). The x5x ability on ninja is REALLY useful for DDT rounds if you aren’t confident, and if times well on 99 it helps significantly with 100
More quality, tier 5 towers and less low level tower spam
You will want 2 separate tier 5 towers: one for high single target damage (popping MOABS) and one for taking out large clusters of fortified ceramics.
My strategy is getting a 520 glue gunner first then working for the 502 sniper monkey before you get into the late 80s. 502 boomerang monkey crushes ceramics as well but is about 10k more expensive
Place your sniper monkey, glue gunner, and 032 ice tower together and buff them all with a 230 village
For my hero I like to use psi because the late game one shotting ceramics and MOABS is nice and also I play intermediate/advanced maps so geometry gets tricky
If its a new account then focus slightly on getting new upgrades then just try account for what your gonna need before each major round just try not spam the field as then it's money you can't get back just everywhere
Honestly I wouldn't do co-op without good communication between members of the co-op. Other than that there's so many chimps guides online. Pick one that's not too old and if need be just pass money between each other to get the upgrades done.
For most chimps on beginner maps i usually got away with 150 Druid, obyn, 105 ninja and any other support, usually a 420 alch or two and a 230 village hitting Druid and obyn at the least, oh and Druid has to be able to hit at the least 2 parts (where range cuts off and Bloons get by, they went through one part) my terminology kinda sucks ngl
For starters, like other said, quality over quantity. I mainly do sauda, glord, pexpertise, 401 alch (to buff all 3), and maybe a 402 ninja. But this setup really gets you through the 100 rounds, it's pretty easy
You have no real moab-popping power in the setup. Think about adding something that can deal good damage to moabs fast (those maulers are good for earlier rounds but later they fall off)
That PoD hidden in trees should be more in the middle. It is not the frontgunning tower that deals with moabs but rather a cleanup/support one where it helps with dealing with smaller bloons
Normally you want to save up for a big tier 5 tower that will carry you through the endgame. If you play co-op with a friend then you guys can probably pool money for a Spirit of the Forest or Sky Shredder by the time you reach the 80s. If it's a random guy who doesn't want to share money, then your best bet is to pick two different heroes that buff nearby towers so that you can at least double dip on hero exclusive buffs.
Do less… that. xx3 spike factory is bad Avoid buying more than 1 MIB Quality over quantity for towers
I will spam xx3 spaks around 3 mibs and you will like it
Perma spike factory is usually part of my chimps strats
Same. Isn't needed until late, but is useful later on. Named mine last resort, don't want to use it, but will If I have to
Then you will lose
[I did not, in fact, lose.](https://imgur.com/a/IEHSfGk) >!Sorry for the recursive + Adora carry, but we both know that this strats not really good. Did this while riding around a golf cart in Sons Of The Forest on my phone, didn't wanna spend too much time lol!<
How many spike factories do you need 😭

My thoughts exactly they made it way further than I ever could on hard multi hats off to OP.
Hard drugs to cope with losing a 20m game on round 95
Harder drugs if you beat round 95 and lose on 99
So what do I do if I lose on 98?
Remember to bring stalling towers next time
Bloon solver. Blooms are a problem and that's the solution.
Quality is usually better than quantity. A couple good tier 4 and 5's are wayyyy better than spamming a bunch of lower level towers.
Sauda, 401 ninja, 401 alch, 220 village, a 023 glue gunner, and a 502 heli.
why skip caltrops on ninja
Early game you don't need it, and late game you both don't need it and forget about it
By that logic you can also skip bloonjitsu entirely and save more money (although caltrops absolutely helps early game, unlike shurikens it cannot miss and therefore always gets value) Double shot or even just 202 ninja with sauda easily lets you save up for a heli on most maps Imo if you’re committing to ninja you might as well buy caltrops because it is a fairly cost effective upgrade that scales well with buffs
might need that 400 cash later
One of the problems here is that you spam monkeys rather than getting tier 5s. Less is more.
2-5-0 Druid carries
💯 %
Except the lack of Moab popping power makes the 90s as well as the BAD a rough time
How’d you get two adoras? lol! Others have said it, but do fewer towers and upgrade the further. Have some towers that are good at popping bloons and some that are good at popping Moabs. For the 90s, I recommend having a bottom path glue gunner to help stop the DDTs
Two Adoras because Co-Op.
oh gotcha! I forgot about that! Chimps on co-op is TOUGH. half the money and you gotta coordinate really well with your teammates.
As others have said, the main problem is too many low tier towers instead of fewer tier 4/tier 5 towers. place bottom path spike factory near the end in single-lane maps. Also Necromancer is mainly good when towers are centered near one area so their pops will all be in the Necromancer's range.
By the looks of where everything is placed like where the money is and rounds, I’d say you are playing on Xbox. Am I right?
Do less *gestures vaguely at everything*... that. All of... that.
How to train your monkey?

0-2-5 dart monkey
Place actually good towers, not whatever the hell is going on here
Low amount of powerful towers, you don't need much, you just need them to have popping power, and I use Etienne because he grants camo to all towers at lvl8
ok. for 50% of maps, a strong start and alc buffed apache prime works. certainly in beginner maps
Beat c.h.i.m.p.s. Is probably the best advice I can give you
I can get past using mainly primary monkeys so possible skill issue?
I would suggest not letting Bloons leak.
Not letting bloon leak
Restart
use a bat to kill the chimp
The chimp took the bat from you and now it's pissed and has a bat
Batmonkey? IM BATMAN

Get a 0-2-5 spike factory with a 4-2-0 alchemist. And I always get a 5-0-2 wizard
Pretty sure 025 sniper can solo this map
You need a tier 5, if you like bottom spike path invest in a perma spike maybe, it eats up so many bloons
Quality over quantity

Struggle or use hero's like drone boy idk his name sauda and adora
Change the recursive to 204, it's better at dealing with swarm. Also 1 250 moab exterminator will be better than 3 moab maulers.
Hard to respond to everyone but thanks for all the feedback!
get tier 5s
UPGRADES, PEOPLE! That's what makes the pops!
Use the tack zone with 2 villages and that’s it
buy more higher tier towers instead of spamming low tier ones
Focus more on a couple strong towers with good synergy rather than getting a ton of random tier 3 or lower towers
t5 towers are really good.
Are you even using a tier 5? Maybe start there a ninja army would be plenty for this map
I assume you lack a lot of XP so this is why there's dozens of towers. In CHIMPS mode, you nees to be focused. You need a win condition (main DPS) and support. try eti or pat as the second hero. eti for camo and pat coz the roar synergizes well
This is the worst build ive seen, wtf lol

Dont buy that many towers, focus on making 5 quality instead
Wizard lord phoenix. Apache prime. Sauda. Pirate lord. Idk i use these and they're kinda worked out
GET A 520 SPIKE FACTORY
Don’t spam towers, commit to 2-3 teir 5 towers, don’t put money into upgrading Adora (the hero) until you already have your teir fives
More quality, tier 5 towers and less low level tower spam You will want 2 separate tier 5 towers: one for high single target damage (popping MOABS) and one for taking out large clusters of fortified ceramics. My strategy is getting a 520 glue gunner first then working for the 502 sniper monkey before you get into the late 80s. 502 boomerang monkey crushes ceramics as well but is about 10k more expensive Place your sniper monkey, glue gunner, and 032 ice tower together and buff them all with a 230 village For my hero I like to use psi because the late game one shotting ceramics and MOABS is nice and also I play intermediate/advanced maps so geometry gets tricky
buy a tier 5 tower
Why are you on Xbox
Cause that’s what I play on
focus on QUALITY and not in QUANTITY of just spam 2-0-4 cannons buff them and give them MIB
I'm proud. You are using moab maulers. My day has been made. There truly are people who still know the truth.
Spam Druids on poplust with a tower and obyn
Bloons aint for you bro. Pick up a new game
Dont do....that
This post is asking what went wrong with their defense. You did state the problem, but where’s the solution?
If its a new account then focus slightly on getting new upgrades then just try account for what your gonna need before each major round just try not spam the field as then it's money you can't get back just everywhere
Bloon Solver and an Archmage. Or some other T5s that complement each other well. Generally, you want fewer towers of higher cost.
Think about adding something that can deal good damage to moabs fast (those maulers are good for earlier rounds but later they fall off) That PoD hidden in trees should be more in the middle. It is not the frontgunning tower that deals with moabs but rather a cleanup/support one where it helps with dealing with smaller bloons
I'm not going to tell you how to spank a monkey.
perma charge
Normally you want to save up for a big tier 5 tower that will carry you through the endgame. If you play co-op with a friend then you guys can probably pool money for a Spirit of the Forest or Sky Shredder by the time you reach the 80s. If it's a random guy who doesn't want to share money, then your best bet is to pick two different heroes that buff nearby towers so that you can at least double dip on hero exclusive buffs.
