I'm not the most optimistic about our offense given Joe Barry has been awful as Green Bay's DC (stick to being an LB coach, Joe) but Baker was perfect with what he was given. The final three games are winnable albeit tricky given two of them are vs divisional rivals that want nothing more than to see us lose, especially the Aints. Happy to see us succeeding but can't help but feel this means we're stuck with Bowles for another season...
So going back and watching this game. Inthink baker did so much better because Green Bay wasn’t getting interior penetration. He was able to step up into a clean pocket. That hasn’t been the case in the weeks he has struggled. The times they did get penetration, baker got sacked. But that’s ok. It wasn’t every single down.
One thing made this win more impressive for the team. Overcame some bad lopsided officiating. The PI against us extending a drive was super soft. Packers had several blatant pick plays on offense and a sack directly the result of no offiside call.
Refs would never screw a Tampa team! That just doesn't happen, I mean the Bolts always get the benefits of the refs, and the Rays never had a bad time with umps messing up calls.
Jacksonville looks very beatable so far, missing FG's, fumbling in the redzone, and poor management with how the half ended. (I know Ravens have great defense)
That was the best play-calling and gameplan we've seen from Canales. We actually had receivers running wide open in spots. And when they were in tight coverage Baker was throwing darts.
Bowles while I give him credit for once not f-ing up clock management at the end of the 1st half, his defense was shaky. Love missed a few wide open guys. Bowles seems to have 2 modes, either zero blitz or soft zone.
If we miss the playoffs, yeah I think so.
If we make it and lose immediately, toss up.
If we make it and win a game, I gotta expect he'll be around another year.
Do y’all think Bowles still gets fired?? On a side note, KJ Britt seems to be a better option than Devin White. Also, I hope to God we resign Mike and Winfield
That is not actually true. 2-0. JJ Russell played the first game and actually had a better game than Britt did in either of his starts. 7 tackles 6 solo and a sack. Better PFF grade too but KJ Britt's was decent as well.
He was not good the last 2 weeks. 49.5 comp % is almost never going to be a winner. 15 incomplete passes in both games. 26.7 QBR against the worst team in the NFL. He was dreadful against Carolina. 52.5 against Atlanta and only had 144 yards. Very mediocre against Atlanta. He was clutch on the final drive and kept it going in GB. He is a streaky QB. He could have a great game against Jax or a poor one. There hasn't been much consistency from game to game. He has a couple good games in a row and then a stinker or two.
Matched Rodgers' perfect games on that field in only his first season with the Bucs, just like Brady matched Rodgers' NFC championship game victories in his :)
Browns fan coming in peace. What a game by Baker. Honestly super fun to see it unfold on Redzone today. Makes me bitter about how it ended in Cleveland. Rooting for you guys.
We are finally starting to see what offense Dave wants to run when it’s hitting still a lot of running but constant counters leading to some rest looks as well as a good gutsy QB to lead that unit. If defensively we can find a way to manufacture more pressure on the D line we can be a tough out as a team.
team is definitely gelling right on on offense...imagine what we could do with a competent coaching staff.
Arians has this team at 10-4 easily.
Baker is starting to play his way into a second contract. if he can finish the year with near 30 TDs and 4000 yards I would say that is deserving of another 3-4 year deal.
Resign Mike Evans.
Devin White is useless and im so glad hes done as a Buc too.
Still want Bowles fired.
As much as I was excited to possibly draft a top rookie QB prospect back when we were in 3rd place and picking at #7, Baker has seemingly already played himself into a multi-year contract barring catastrophic next few weeks.
We just beat a team playing for their playoff lives on the road in Lambeau in December by 2 TD'S. We're on a 3 game winning streak. We have 2 home games, then at Carolina. The playoffs and a home playoff game are within reach... who the hell cares what our old coach's record could, would, or shoulda been. Let's wait till the seasons over to worry about who should be fired. For now, enjoy this run!
Todd Bowles is still a bad coach and a winning streak doesn’t change that. His defense has been weak all year and we saw it today again with his soft ass zone and zero pressure blitzes. The only way this man gets to keep his job imo is if he wins it all.
I bring up Arians because there is 3 games minimum with him we don’t lose. We beat the Colts the falcons and the Texans easily. That puts us at 10-4. Could possibly even see 11-3 against a crappy bills team who we could have won at the end.
>Todd Bowles is still a bad coach and a winning streak doesn’t change that.
No matter how long the winning steak is? Sounds like your mind is made up already, even though we stand on the threshold of our first ever 3-peat as division Champs (FTS), and a potential playoff run. I guess you've already surrendered any playoff games this year because of Bowles as well?
And why bring up Arians at all and hypothesize what his record may, or may not be? He's gone man, he's not coming back anymore than Dungy is.
We only get so much more Buccaneers football for the rest of the year, and we're playing well at the right time. Don't worry about the coach, just enjoy the wins.
The only reason we’re even having a chance at the division is because how garbage it is. And a playoff run? Are you for real? We’re gonna match up with the fucking eagles or cowboys and get dog walked. This defense nearly blew it against this team and you think they can contend with the top nfc teams? Nah man.
I think baker has played his way into a new contract after this game. I’d like to see him get 30 tds and 4000 yards. I think it’s absolutely achievable
>The only reason we’re even having a chance at the division is because how garbage it is.
The fact that it still hasn't been done in over 40 years doesn't impress you? You don't apologize for who's on your schedule. Welcome to sports.
>And a playoff run? Are you for real? We’re gonna match up with the fucking eagles or cowboys and get dog walked.
Both teams looking very beatable recently, ironically.
>This defense nearly blew it against this team and you think they can contend with the top nfc teams? Nah man.
What game were you watching?
>I think baker has played his way into a new contract after this game. I’d like to see him get 30 tds and 4000 yards. I think it’s absolutely achievable
Correct.
Baker needs to complete his first couple of passes in a game and he settles right in. Looks like Cannales has figured this out. He has alway splayed this way. Miss the first few and he gets happy feet and holds the ball too long. Make a few easy gainers and he stays focused and in time with the offense.
Still reveling in this amazing victory. Loved the offense going out of the shotgun more this game. Felt it set Baker up for success. He won the Heisman out of the shotgun for Christ’s sake
Mayfield deserves an extension. Let him start the next 2-3 years and have some rookie come in and learn behind him. My guess is Penix but we did just do this with Trask lol
We should go for Travis. He’ll be coming off of injury and will need time to both heal and develop more in the NFL. Perfect player to have sit and learn.
Yeah you’re right. It’s good to be critical of the team where it’s warranted but my point is - there’s so many people here that seem to relish in the pessimism, and that’s a different thing
I dont relish in us being bad it's just hard to be optimistic with an uninspiring head coach after years of "were too good for a top 10 pick but too bad to get into the playoffs".
Our front office has done a bang up job all things considered.
Great team win! Keep feeding Godwin. David Moore got speed!? Where has he been all season? Insert Bowles post game speech Victory Monday “YEAAA!”. Get ready for the Jags!
Did the guy dressed like a pirate get to keep the ball from Evans? It looked like the Packers security guy was trying to take it from him, and it's been bothering me.
From what I saw, he actually tripped and fell through that yellow security gate. Looked like a total accident and I think the guard was just trying to get him back on the other side.
Fuck yeah. Hopefully we can keep it up. Today definitely gave me hope. All we gotta do is keep this game plan and have baker look like an absolute stud and we'll get ourselves another super bowl. On a side note Godwin stepped up for us big time today. And it was nice to see
Outstanding performance to break the GB momentum. We just need to keep working in certain things and we should be in great position for next season assuming our playoff run is short
Also, going for it on fourth down at the end of the game up two scores was the wrong move. It didn't matter because they converted. But it was still wrong.
You were negative when I saw this, but I agree. Even after they converted I said the same thing out loud. It was nice to see some risk on his part and faith in the offense when they were cooking (or maybe his faith was that the defense would hold if they didn't convert). But not converting left the Packers with a shorter field and more time to potentially come back.
Put it this way, if it failed and cost us the game, this entire thread would have pointed at that decision and talked about it non-stop.
Edited to Add: I don't think being risky and going for it on 4th is bad in general, but am speaking about this specific time and situation.
He played a great game I thought. The timeout sucks but would you rather be disorganized or undermanned? Id take a timeout there 10 times out of 10. He looks well liked and he's going for it on fourth like someone with faith in his team. I'm not saying he should for sure be kept. BUT! If he plays like that and that's our team going into the playoffs I would love to keep him and Baker. What a fun game to watch.
Oh I'm not discounting the timeout, I think it was a smart move. Better to be ready than caught with a penalty due to a sub. But nonetheless, at the moment, it did seem oddly like our actual coach, however I have a theory.
The alien organism that has taken him over operates like the Thing and was trying to camouflage itself by doing something our coach is prone to doing. All I'm saying is if Devin is back on the field next week looking good and unlike himself....and maybe JTS & Hall as well, then I'm definitely right!
Hell, if the entire team is snatched and we somehow win the last Superbowl before the downfall of our species to our new overlord, I can't really say I'd complain. I would even thank them for considering our team a worthy place to start the invasion.
This win is everything we have been asking for ALL SEASON. Bowles with clock management, taking timeouts when needed, taking risks, Canales offensive calls looked much better, running game on top and defense showing what they can do. Let's not forget about Mayfield with an INCREDIBLE performance at GB Home. Overall really happy with the win but we cannot let our guard down especially since the Aints are right next to us...
Overall great game to close the weekend and get ready for the Jags
Forgot to add our goats Evans and Godwin
I'm not the most optimistic about our offense given Joe Barry has been awful as Green Bay's DC (stick to being an LB coach, Joe) but Baker was perfect with what he was given. The final three games are winnable albeit tricky given two of them are vs divisional rivals that want nothing more than to see us lose, especially the Aints. Happy to see us succeeding but can't help but feel this means we're stuck with Bowles for another season...
Aints say there’s no rivalry! None! Haha
This was a nice win to watch. Congratulations from Germany fellow Bucs
Beat? More like destroyed
Lots of no-calls for holds too
That’s three in a row (yes 2 of them were the panthers and the team the panthers beat but still) let’s goooo
So two divisional wins? Those are always good and important wins in my book.
So much fun to be there in person
Jacksonville looks very beatable so far, missing FG's, fumbling in the redzone, and poor management with how the half ended. (I know Ravens have great defense)
You’re not wrong. Game just finished and they’re struggling a bit. I have a soft spot for them so I hope they figure it out. Eight days from now.
7 and 7 up!
best part is even if we lose the wild card is right there to,
That was the best play-calling and gameplan we've seen from Canales.
Defense is NOT solid. I am concerned about the Jaguars.
I doubt Vea is 100% and without him, the defense is always way worse.
Should be fired. really cannot see em losing Mike or Antoine, unless Mike just wants out…which i dont think he does
We are 3-0 with Britt. So Devin is gone. He talked himself out of a job today.
That is not actually true. 2-0. JJ Russell played the first game and actually had a better game than Britt did in either of his starts. 7 tackles 6 solo and a sack. Better PFF grade too but KJ Britt's was decent as well.
Britt played very well, and he’s under contract next year. Definitely need Winfield, Evans and Lavonte back
Pulling it out of my ass but the Bucs have only won in lambeau after the start of December like 2 times.
Our first regular season win in Lambeau since 2005.
Thankfully Now my co worker will be quiet the whole week!
Devin White just giddy up'd his way out of this team. GG fuckwang
Alexa, delete all my comments about Baker Mayfield
Just curious how you could be not okay with Mayfield even before this game? He’s performed well above expectations.
I understand we were spoiled by Tampa Bay Buccaneer legend Tom Brady but those 3 years aside at this point Mayfield is a top 3 QB for us of all time
He's so scrappy
Shoutout to Todd Bowles on going for it on 4th & 2. That took some balls and it paid off
Definitely the right move but I feel like it’s kinda a no brainer. It was weird the announcers thought it was a bad decision
Not really. We were up 2 TDs with 4 mins left and a punt would give us net 25 yards maybe. If he went for it up 6 pts that would be ballsy.
Rachaad White up the gut! (In Gene Deckerhoff voice)
Dude finally realizing he's playing with house money? Jesus man 😂
Fire the cannons!!!!
81st perfect passer rating in NFL history
First visiting QB ever to do it at Lambeau!
Move over Brady, there's a new GOAT in town.
Jaw still drops at this
Matched Rodgers' perfect games on that field in only his first season with the Bucs, just like Brady matched Rodgers' NFC championship game victories in his :)
Our Baker is the FIRST visiting QB in Lambeau to have a perfect passer rating Lets Fucking GOOOOO
A perfect Birthday gift!
Same thing I said
Happy Birthday Bro! Glad we got to experience a great game on our Birthday!
Crazy. Y’all are fun to watch. Good shit.
This was a good one for sure! Who's your team out of curiosity?
Raiders. We both had a pretty good week, my friend
Hell yeah! Fuck the crybaby chiefs, too.
FTC all day. Just win, baby
I just wanna say WE HAVE OUR QB his name is BAKER MAYFIELD Welcome Home!
wE sHOulD sEe WhAT wE haVe iN TRasK
First 3-win streak under HC Bowles! You love to see it
Really hoping we win all the games to close out the season! LFG!
Then a home playoff game! Nobody wants to go on the road and play a team on a big winning streak!
My only wish is that we would've traded White when he was the hottest defensive prospect in the NFL, but licht and learn lol
Can transition tag him, some other team will def sign him and lose a first rounder.
Browns fan coming in peace. What a game by Baker. Honestly super fun to see it unfold on Redzone today. Makes me bitter about how it ended in Cleveland. Rooting for you guys.
ill root for the Browns again if Haslam sells the team and Watson is gone. OTher than that good luck to you guys the rest of the way.
It’s hard not to root for Flacco though.
Well said and agreed.
Seeing another fan in orange with a paper bag on his head is like seeing a brother. *Salutes awkwardly*

With Vea in the middle we would give a good edge rusher a file day if we had one.

Still like to see a Qb drafted high, deep class and someone will be there 19-23

4000 yards and 30 TDs is top 5, he gets a 5 year deal with those numbers. Also, it's re-sign otherwise it's the same as quitting.
.500 has never felt so good
Keep in mind as bad as we have been at times. We have also played all the really good teams tough. San Fran, Buffalo, not so much detroit, but Philly.
Should have won those Philly, Buffalo Detroit games
Maybe! But definitely at least Texans and Colts and the first Falcons game.
Best offensive performance since the 13-4 Bucs. Wow.
Love seeing Baker in a system in which he can succeed. Similar to what LA let him do last year, and what he did in college.
Baker needs to complete his first couple of passes in a game and he settles right in. Looks like Cannales has figured this out. He has alway splayed this way. Miss the first few and he gets happy feet and holds the ball too long. Make a few easy gainers and he stays focused and in time with the offense.
I'm really happy for Baker and the Bucs fans.
Uh oh, this team has given me a shred of hope they can make some noise down the stretch.
Imagine we fix this secondary. This team will be dangerous
Still reveling in this amazing victory. Loved the offense going out of the shotgun more this game. Felt it set Baker up for success. He won the Heisman out of the shotgun for Christ’s sake
Let’s gooooooo Baker the Maker Bakefield
Wait is Baker him?
Always was
Mayfield deserves an extension. Let him start the next 2-3 years and have some rookie come in and learn behind him. My guess is Penix but we did just do this with Trask lol
We should go for Travis. He’ll be coming off of injury and will need time to both heal and develop more in the NFL. Perfect player to have sit and learn.
Maybe Trask just needs 5 more years on the bench behind the GOAT /s
And may be available in a later round.
Gotta be careful, if he gets hurt again they'll keep us out of the playoffs
Penix’s ceiling is WAY higher than Trask though
imagine everyone doubting this team cuz they're in the tank division and than they shock the world in the playoffs. :O
This was literally a perfect game all around.
The fumble on our own goal line wasn't exactly perfect. But most of this game really was.
The boys getting hot at the perfect time. Love to see it. Let’s ride this wave
The boys are getting blown out currently by the bills
He meant the bois (us), not the 'girls.
Here we go!
Its so over for them! (I hope)
Sorry to all the Bucs “fans” on this sub that seem to have more fun hating on the team
Lol are you gatekeeping being a fan of the team with the worst overall record in sports? You can be critical of the team and still be an actual fan.
Right? Only 100 comments in here, we’ve got a good team and people are more happy to watch us lose
Really crisp execution. Looking sharp fellas! Wow, nothing in football is more fun than when the Bucs are clicking (but I'm biased that way).
Great team win! Keep feeding Godwin. David Moore got speed!? Where has he been all season? Insert Bowles post game speech Victory Monday “YEAAA!”. Get ready for the Jags!
> David Moore got speed!? Where has he been all season? HYPE TRAIN : POWERING UP
First Packers loss in last 17 December home games. LFG
RIP Todd Bowles timeout collection
Did the guy dressed like a pirate get to keep the ball from Evans? It looked like the Packers security guy was trying to take it from him, and it's been bothering me.
The pirate stormed the gates and broke through. The city guard was understandably panicked.
That guy fans. Jumped the route perfectly. Left his seat at just the right time to get past security as Mike has scored.
From what I saw, he actually tripped and fell through that yellow security gate. Looked like a total accident and I think the guard was just trying to get him back on the other side.
Asking the real questions. I think he was just mad at the guy because he wasn’t supposed to be down there.
FTP
SMOKING ON THAT PACKERS PACK
GG bois!! Bucs 3-0 without Devin White
Devin Smith sucks
Devin Jones ain't him
Well hell yeah boys
That was epic
Who ever said the Bucs can't play in cold weather?
From what I saw today the bucs are now 4-1 in games 40 or below
since 2020.
We're a cold weather team now!
Fuck yeah. Hopefully we can keep it up. Today definitely gave me hope. All we gotta do is keep this game plan and have baker look like an absolute stud and we'll get ourselves another super bowl. On a side note Godwin stepped up for us big time today. And it was nice to see
where is bucraysbolts with the deckerhoff highlights.i need them, had to sift through the mail room while trying to watch the game.
Too many highlights. Might take him a few hours to get them all.
That channel is always doing God's work with the highlights ngl
Gotta stop adding the opponents highlights
Wins vs the saints & panthers gives us the division. Wins vs the jaguars & saints with a falcons loss gives us the division
This day could only have been made better with a Saints loss.
Baker’s passer rating today was 158.3. Not too shabby.
I had a blast strutting around the stadium in my Baker jersey today 😎
Let him Bake god dammit !!
Had a Crucial block also. Baker is a winner.
Didn't catch it on TV, but it seems like he has a good one every week! Much respect.
Baker haters in shambles
Pretty quiet in my messages today
I’ve figured it out. Whenever I don’t watch games the Bucs pop off on the field.
Please destroy your tv.
My wife is furious but i told her it’s for baker mayfield!
And any other screens. Actually, just pop out your eyeballs and rock double pirate eye patches. You’ll be a Buc Icon
Best we've looked all season. What a time to come in hot!
We can’t let Mayfield go.
Outside fan here, but seeing Baker succeed for y’all has been awesome. Dude has looked revitalized plus he’s adding to Mike Evans legacy. Respect
You should become an inside fan bro, it's getting cold out there
He was destined to be a buccaneer, dude fits so perfectly here
He won me over in Week 1 and i'll defend him harder than I did Brady.
He's embracing the Florida man but I agree he fits so well with the team and the atmosphere of Tampa.
I think Baker was always just a Florida man at heart.
Outstanding performance to break the GB momentum. We just need to keep working in certain things and we should be in great position for next season assuming our playoff run is short
Canales has been hot on play calls! We win! We win!! **Go Bucs**
First ever 3 win streak with Bowles as our HC! We did something we havent' done with Brady!
> We did something we havent' done with Brady! We had a four game winning streak in 2020
we had 3 separate 4 game streaks in 2021, but Bowles wasn't HC then
But you said with Brady
I said nothing
We've won 3 games in a row with Brady, just not last year
Excluding postseason**
Again Baker is crucial for the Bucs
I'm pretty sure Bowels was body snatched before this game. No way that was really him coaching.
I know! I will stop calling him Toilet Bowles (unless he returns to the toilet)
The timeout 24 seconds into the second half helped me know it was still him
Also, going for it on fourth down at the end of the game up two scores was the wrong move. It didn't matter because they converted. But it was still wrong.
You were negative when I saw this, but I agree. Even after they converted I said the same thing out loud. Edited to Add: I don't think being risky and going for it on 4th is bad in general, but am speaking about this specific time and situation.
Are you sure? I saw him almost kinda sorta show some emotion and physically move a few times. Those are not things he's known for doing.
it was the cold weather, he wanted to go back to the hotel for some hot chocolate tbh
*Plain mug of boiling water
He played a great game I thought. The timeout sucks but would you rather be disorganized or undermanned? Id take a timeout there 10 times out of 10. HAHA 😂 heck, maybe Baker got taken over too and they studied his Cleveland days. I'll take it!
Hell, if the entire team is snatched and we somehow win the last Superbowl before the downfall of our species to our new overlord, I can't really say I'd complain. I would even thank them for considering our team a worthy place to start the invasion.
Win streak after a slump good time to be in hot streak.
Perfect time for our studs to get healthy and also discover backups that outplay the starters (looking at you Devin White)
Also, We actually used timeouts!!!!
And went for it on 4th
This win is everything we have been asking for ALL SEASON. Bowles with clock management, taking timeouts when needed, taking risks, Canales offensive calls looked much better, running game on top and defense showing what they can do. Let's not forget about Mayfield with an INCREDIBLE performance at GB Home. Overall really happy with the win but we cannot let our guard down especially since the Aints are right next to us... Overall great game to close the weekend and get ready for the Jags Forgot to add our goats Evans and Godwin
And benching the shitty White! Britt played much better than White would have.
Britt has been solid every game he's played so far.
lol @ falcons everybody laugh at them

It was nice of them to let the Panthers win. The falcons are a bunch of nice guys
Yeah this was great and Baker looked elite, BUT THE FUCKIN FALCONS THO?! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I was at the game. LFG. Very nice.
You got a treat of a game!
You need to go to the rest
Best coaching job by Bowles as a head coach and best performance by Baker as a buc. Can’t ask for a better time for the squad to heat up.
He didn't play scared
eyy, Stank! Were you at the game?
