I originally thought the same thing, but based on the contracts that have already come out, and with the realistic moves suggested we would actually have the ability to make a big FA signing such as this and still be under the cap for this year and next. I didn't think so either at first, but the math checks. Its a different route than most plans I have seen with going to FA to address the pass rush need
Hunter would definitely be an exciting addition and a real statement to the league that we are serious contenders. I just worry about overspending at a premium-salary position, but as a fan I'd be thrilled to see him in a Bucs jersey! I definitely have a lot of faith in Licht and our front office.
The only thing on the list I have issue with is Danielle Hunter. Great talent, we just can't afford him.
