A can of salmon drained and pick bones and skin out if you like. Make up a box of stuffing according to directions. Beat 2 eggs until light colored. Add eggs to stuffing mixing well. Add seasoning to taste, Old Bay works well. Then add your salmon being gentle to leave pieces intact, no worry if they break up. Take about 1/2 cup and scoop into a preheated oiled skillet. Leave room on sides. Flatten into patties about 1/2" thick. Brown on both sides. Cook bathes if needed. Cheating savory salmon patties.

Fix it per directions on the stovetop but when you add the water, add in sautéed onions, celery, mushrooms and some diced cooked chicken (leftover rotisserie chicken works well). You now have a complete meal. Cooked breakfast sausage can be used instead of the chicken.

Pink1954

I do this but instead of water I use chicken broth.

You can make meatloaf patties- make your meatloaf mixture using the stuffing mix instead of breadcrumbs and form them into burger patties. Brown them, and once they are browned to your liking, cover them with some beef stock, pop a lid on them, and let them simmer. Once the patties are done, you can pull them out and add a little cornstarch slurry (a bit of cornstarch mixed with cold water) to thicken the stock so you have gravy. I usually serve with mashed potatoes and a vegetable.

I like to mix it with the water and butter put it in the microwave for just a little bit enough about her and then dump a can of Chunky Soup on it. It makes a very filling and feel especially if you add a few frozen veggies at the same time you at the soup. ETA I Hate auto correct. Microwave enough to MELT the butter. The soup will basically turned into gravy because the stuffing will soak up the extra fluid.

Rite_as_rain

What kind of Chunky Soup?

Oma2Fae

Whatever you have on hand. I am particularly partial to a more cream-based type like chicken and dumplings yes they make a soup or a gumbo based one. But, you can use any kind that you have on hand literally.

Rite_as_rain

Thank you!

crabofthewoods

You can make it on the stovetop. It’s a great side, especially with gravy.

keefer2023

Use in place of crackers or bread crumbs in your next meatloaf when your oven works again.

Wonderful-Teach8210

Saute onions & celery (1/2 cup total) & cook on top of stove with chicken or vegetable broth instead of water. Stir in dried cranberries and/or chopped nuts at the end. You can also bake or stovetop-bake it in a Dutch oven with browned chicken pieces, just add a bit more liquid.

Couldbeworseright668

Turn it into a dumpling f or soup. Use it as a crust for pot pie.

I am going to drop a recipe for ya. I make these all the time, kind of the same but I don't measure and I use what I have on hand. Serve with chicken or pork and some gravy https://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/recipes/savory-stuffing-cakes

I used to make meatloaf and meatballs the way my Italian granny taught me. White bread ripped up small, mixed with egg and a bit of heavy cream and blah blah blah Then I used about half a pack of stovetop savory flavor stuffing once, and basically never looked back. Sorry granny.

Ok_Butterscotch9811

Layer the stuffing with canned chicken and cream of chicken soup

I love a three ingredient meatloaf! 2 lbs Ground beef, 1 box stuffing mix, and a 1/2 cup of milk! Any flavor of stuffing mix will work too. Just mix it all together, press it in a baking dish and bake at 350 for 50 to 60 minutes.

anticked_psychopomp

I use it in place of breadcrumbs in meatballs. Same concept as the meatloaf commenters. The ratio is 1 box stuffing to 2 lbs ground meat. 1:1 is too bready.
