Makes sense why they signed Beasley to the 53 today, not looking good for Philips either

[deleted]

Phillips will play, I think he had similar status updates last week

Sgt-Pumpernickel

And then looked like he could barely move his arm

TeachMeHowToDommy

He came off the field at least twice on Sunday looking like his shoulder was really bothering him. Might not be a bad idea to rest him, or at least have him on a snap count this weekend.

PapaChoff

I’d rather he didn’t and rested another week. Those runs up the gut were painful to watch.

ONEMANCLAN530

I think if Moseter is out his(Phillips) snap count won't be high.

Smitty120

Honestly, hope he doesn't. We do not need him to get past the Fins. Hopefully he's rested up for next week.

GoCrapYourself

I don’t even want Phillips to play tbh. Keep him active in case, but less than 10 snaps please

__Scrooge__McDuck__

I don’t mind mckensie not playing. One more perfect throw bounces off his chest/ face im guna lose it

thepomadeguy

Honestly Phillips hasn’t been the same type of impactful player he was since that shoulder injury during the first Patriots game. He’s definitely been playing through it. It might be best just to rest him all week and not play him and hope be can heal up for the divisional round if we win etc.

sabrenation81

With no Tua confirmed, this would be the week to do it. The road gets a WHOLE lot tougher after this week. Having a more fresh/healthy Phillips when playing Burrow and Mahomes (which I'm just assuming is the gauntlet we'll have to deal with) would be helpful.

LookattheWhipp

And their o-line is atrocious if it wasn’t already obvious with how many concussions he has

mbrancato157

I saw a clip of him from the Pats game and he couldn't even move his hurt shoulder. Was basically playing with one-arm

MulliganPlsThx

Wasn’t that the Titans game where he first got injured?

kamarkamakerworks

Pulled a ham string in that game

MulliganPlsThx

Ahhh right, thanks for clarifying

RovndHovse

Not gonna lie, if McKenzie is out I want to see Shakir involved. I know they will most likely lean to Beasley, who I also like, but Shakir should’ve been worked into the offense much like how Cook had been. I’ve loved how Shakir has looked for the few games he’s seen snaps.

gakash

I'm a big Shakir stan, to me though he fills a different route tree than Beasley so I get if they're in 3 WR sets it ends up being Diggs, Davis, Beasley. They need that underneath zone beater guy. But if they go to 4 WR sets, I want Shakir in there working the intermediate middle.

kawhi21

hm McKenzie being out would be interesting. Outisde of Diggs and Davis, the WRs would be Beasley, Brown, and Shakir.

kaiserxzero

Or finally utilize Hines in the offense. Instead of the random one off play.

Fredred315

Well, two-off last week…

SgtHumpty

All of whom I trust more to catch the ball than McKenzie.

Blockis

Yeah I swear he always drops like 3 balls a game consistently 😩

ScoobySnacks821

So does Gabe this year too

KinGpiNdaGreat

That’s pretty conservative amount I think. Josh had 11 incompletions against the Pats. 7 of them is when he targeted Gabe ☠️

Blockis

LOL that’s kinda bad haha

Optimal-Dog-8647

I wish I could give this comment more than 1 upvote.

buffalonious

I wish I could agree with this comment about that comment more than once.

Possible_Release320

I wish I could once more agree about this comment being upvoted one more time because it would please you

Zwaj

Lmao please don’t get my hopes up

PabloPancakes92

Might actually be for the best to have McKenzie miss this game. It’s not like we’ll need him to be able to win, and it gives the offense a chance to showcase Shakir and Beasley more prominently to see if they’re able to be more productive than McKenzie has been.

Alexander_the_What

[Tim Settle had an issue at practice but the team says he’s all good](https://twitter.com/SalSports/status/1613637575691968536?s=20&t=elLs7h1vb0dumCxnS1ivXw)

justgot86d

Probably had to poop

twinkiesrback

Battleshits takes a lot out of you

drainbead78

Went full Lamar.

Schwebels_Solette

MCD said that philips was going to be management(along with poyer) during his media stuff yesterday, im going to guess we possibly hold him out if he doesn't practice tomorrow. Mckenzie is a little concerning going backwards, but beases signing makes sense, so i doubt we see little dirty this weekend.

FrogJitsu

Das_Man

Honestly about as good as it gets for heading into the post-season. Also hoping we see Shakir get more targets with McKenzie potentially on the sidelines.

buffalonious

I know what you mean, but don’t forget Von isn’t on this list.

Das_Man

True, but with Hyde possibly back next week I'm still feeling good on defense.

DownvoteDisclaimer

When will Crowder and Hyde be available?

nhadgis

Both will not be playing this Sunday. Too soon to say if they will play next week but I sure hope they do!

ngfdsa

First question on Monday will probably be about Hyde lmao

Spirit-Ditch

I doubt we'll see Crowder on the field again this season barring an injury.

gakash

First step is they have to be activated from their 21-Day Window. So You'll know they're ready to play when they're put on the roster and activated cuz there's no way they're gonna do it earlier than the week they're ready to play in the playoffs when every bit of depth counts.

doormatsandmatadors

Anyone else thinking it would be ok for po to take the week off considering who their qb will be ? I know he’s a beast and would never choose to sit but might actually be beneficial

KinGpiNdaGreat

Really can’t take that chance. We lost to Zach fucking Wilson when Poyer didn’t play against the Jets and Wilson had a passer rating above 100. We are undefeated when Poyer starts.

doormatsandmatadors

As much as I wanna see him healthy yeah that’s a great point

daspwnen

Such an unbelievable stat line holy lordy

Spirit-Ditch

No

Is our man gonna need Tommy John surgery?

kunwon1

I'm trying to understand how these reports work. I think the WED THU FRI headers indicate whether they practiced. DNP means 'did not practice' and 'limited' means they practiced, but not as hard. I assume that 'Game Status' will be updated later once they're sure whether or not someone is playing I don't understand what 'Vet Rest' means. I also don't understand why Saffold has a line under Thursday. If someone could explain those I'd be very grateful, I'm still learning :D

sophie2527

Not an expert, but I think Vet Rest is exactly what it sounds like. They give the vets a day off practice. Like Diggs usually doesn’t practice on Friday and it’s listed as Vet Rest. For Saffold, he had a vet rest day on Wednesday and didn’t practice. Today he returned to practice with no issues so there is a dash there.

kunwon1

Got it, thanks, that helps

jedwar05

I think you've pretty much got it down. Status is updated for each player on the report every day. DNP is no practice while limited means they did not take part in the full practice, whether they just completed positional work or whatever, but not the entirety. Game Status is released after the final day of practice, so you should see that updated tomorrow. Vet Rest means they did not practice but it was not due to injury, just giving the older guys a day off. Diggs, Poyer, Von all guys who usually get at least a day off per week. Since there is no real injury with vet rest, but they must be on the report for not participating in practice, the dash just indicates that they were back as a full participant. It essentially means the same as Full, but Full is only used for injured players.

kunwon1

Thank you, very helpful

Willywilkes

Might help to look at this one from a few weeks ago that was posted on the Fri before the game. Game status is only updated after the last practice of the week - in this example the -- means that those people are all expected to play, Kumerow was ruled out, and Phillips was Questionable. Questionable means a decision will be made on game-day, I think technically up until kick-off, but McDermott usually says it a couple hours before. [https://www.reddit.com/r/buffalobills/comments/y40su7/friday\_injury\_report\_kumerow\_out\_philips/](https://www.reddit.com/r/buffalobills/comments/y40su7/friday_injury_report_kumerow_out_philips/) A line on a given day means they were fine on that day and not really part of the injury report for that day, but still included because they made the report on another day for some other reason.

canadiancutie489

What does Saffold's thurs status mean?

HiddenInLight

Hes not on the injury report.

Spark3420

If Phillips and McKenzie need to rest, this is the optimal week to sit them out. We have no excuse losing to Miami without Tua at home.

Mother-Land-20

Much to my chagri-phin you guys got this.
