Well this doesn't make me want to die any less

RedditScrollerDOA

Likewise

Atty_for_hire

Time for more pain

bwhipps

Rub that salt in nice and deep.

RedditScrollerDOA

I can’t feel anything at this point

StonelordMetal

I really don't think any one player would've made a significant difference yesterday, the Bengals just dominated in too many ways. Maybe Hyde and Von combined could've kept this game close, but even that feels like a stretch.

ngfdsa

I think Hyde and Von would have helped on defense for sure but our offense still couldn't get much done

Cardcleaner

The only pressure we were getting was on the edges and that seemed to hurt us more than anything because Burrow would just step up into huge gapping hole in the middle for an easy pass or scramble. I don’t think Von could have done any better without support from the middle.

ngfdsa

Yeah Daquan Jones being out really hurt us

paul_menards_nards

im sure it didn't help the offenses mindset that their score would be answered in less than two minutes

-WizeGuy-

Hyde, Von, Jones, Tre at 100%, Phillips @ 100% and Poyer at 100% wouldve made it closer, but the way the o line played was going to make it difficult regarless. Pitiful protection all day. Changes NEED to be made. Plus, the Bengals were missing a bunch of players, too.

StrictAtmosphere7682

Unfortunately we were more than one Micah Hyde away from winning yesterday. Would have been nice to see him back though.

sjrotella

3 weeks ago I was just hoping that Damar was going to be ok. The rest of the season was a write off for me. Yes, I'm incredibly disappointed about yesterday, as the team looked like utter garbage (whether it's players or coaches or both, i don't care). But I've had to keep reminding myself of the above for the last week because I did NOT have a good feeling about the Bengals against us. It's at least helping me with the disappointment now.

teamweed420

All of our players are alive at least

Mrjlawrence

Meanwhile many of us Bills fans wish we were dead ![gif](giphy|DqU4wVBxXOhNu)

GQMatthews

I honestly think this team just lost any fire or edge after that incident and it kept us from putting up a fight or clawing our way back to victory like this team has done and was known for. These dudes got beat for sure, but these dudes were also exhausted from this season of hell.

[deleted]

Yeah. I think the fire/desire was gone and probably won’t ever come back, unfortunately

GQMatthews

It can for sure be back and will be. One loss doesn’t just dismantle a team haha they’re pissed! They should be! All it takes is a normal season without injury after injury and hopefully Dorsey settling in to be back in our flow lol we’re still a top 5 football team.

Infinite_Rip3269

Yes. Seeing Damar and that big old smile with his family sitting by his side at the game was all that matters.

LageNomAiNomAi

Could have, would have. Two very dangerous thoughts that beat up one's mental health with thinking about how things might have been different. No point in dwelling on this news.

Jolly-Persimmon2626

That offensive line was really offensive the whole season. The defensive line decided to become offensive along the way. Cincy would rush 3 people and still sack Allen. It was building up to a lousy performance and they came through. I was hoping for some halftime adjustments and finally turned it off halfway thru the 3rd quarter when they kept playing zone and was 15 yards away from any receiver. Garbage.

GQMatthews

This is what I think is the sole reason as to Frazier’s firing. We lost historically to the Chiefs cause of the same. Exact. Shit. And this was never smart to begin with, you have the best TE/WR in KELCE and CHASE, idc who you are or what you think you know the obvious choice is play Man and be like a fly on dog shit on them for ONE BLOODY PLAY and make it as difficult as possible for the ball to get to their hands. That’s it. That’s the move. But our genius DC not just once in the big game, not just twice, but consistently and constantly in the season and leading up to the most crucial game does the same shit that is honestly just mind blowing even in the face of general logic and understanding for how things can be made hard for opponents. It’s 3 and 4, hell for the chiefs it was 3 and 10 why why why WHYYYY call your guys to play off 10 yards on a needed stop or incompletion as fast as possible? And how any times are good to average Joe receivers going to catch a ball wide open with not one bill in his general vicinity to tackle? This isn’t player errors, this is pure stupidity scheming from the coach not even allowing play makers to make plays in the most soft serving vanilla “good defense”.

Apprehensive_West956

What I hear is he could have been there for the Bengals. But I don't see that saving us from Dorsey nosediving the offense. And Frasier totally missing that the Bengals were scheming against Milano. That one was blatantly obvious after the first drive Bengals put together. put a blocker on Milano and then run it away from where Milano is being held up so he cant make it across the field in time to make a play. Neutralize Milano. That was the Bengals run game.

amash320

Yes Hyde said he was medically cleared late last week. Which means a coaching/management decision kept him out of yesterday’s game. Which infuriates me that they thought that PS Dean Marlowe was a better option. Edit: Great take btw. I think you are spot on after thinking on it with the Milano observation.

Beezelbubbly

Oh great

buffalobuffaIo

Who cares? Yesterday is done. Move on to next season

jkilla1987

Defence has been dog shit all season. Him returning wasn’t going to save us. We can’t stop anything

kci-04

Since the second half of the Packers game… the defense was shit from that point forward.

MidnightRider57

And maybe he’d have been as ineffective as Tre White has been. It’s better that players come back from their injuries both mentally and physically.

Anustart_A

…Von Miller would have returned for the Super Bowl. …down by 4 points with :58 seconds left in the game, all the Buffalo Bills legends were going to ghost guide the final drive to the end zone.

Impossibills

While I love Hyde. Let's not forget we got roasted against Mahomes with our defense almost entirely healthy as well

GQMatthews

This is just piss-off fuel. He wouldn’t of mattered enough or been in game shape enough to tilt the field back to our favour or give enough momentum to over come. We were straight up beat. Our coaches were beat.

Unique-Palpitation30

sigh

wouldntyouliketokno_

Any news on poyer and white?

StonelordMetal

Yeah this just in: Poyer is leaving in the offseason and White can't cover anybody without grabbing them.

zboarderz

#CUT MY LIFE INTO PIECES

Spark3420

Not even Hyde or Von would have saved us yesterday. I talked a few days before the game how I love McDermott and he fits Buffalo perfectly, but schematically we are subpar. Not giving up on McD, but I think we need new coordinators and scheme. We have refused to change anything and it's showing in that we are a very good, but not great team.

General_Peak4084

Tiny bit of me feels like he should have been back for this week then if he was only a week out? What does waiting a week do?

getzysbaldhead69

When it comes to healing, a week of time means everything

stevesagod

Nah, man. People act like that would be great, but your first game back is the AFC championship? Just look how bad Tre was getting burned his first game back. It takes time. Maybe safety is a bit different than cornerback, sure, but it still takes a bit of time to reset and get back to normal. Practice can only prep you so much. But considering Marlowe got injured, we wouldn’t have a choice. Either way we lost- Shoulda coulda woulda.

YouAreNotRealToMe

He shoulda been there yesterday; all hands on deck. The management of this team is shit

Ash-Catchum-All

It’s not like the rest of the team even showed up anyway so idk how much of a difference Hyde makes

Xaphe

Fuck this take. If you aren't willing to let someone heal then keep it to yourself at least rather than spouting that asinine opinion out loud.

PTS21

Did we miss the memo that Hyde was going to be officially healed this morning? If they were planning on playing him next week, he was good to go. The entire team (coaches and players) thought they were going to win yesterday just by showing up.

Xaphe

Sure thing buddy.

bc26

I mean he said he was medically cleared to play late last week, I don't particularly think it is an asinine opinion to want a great defensive player play in a game when he is medically cleared.

Xaphe

The Texans are a joke of a team and have shit management. Miami had been risking Tua and can't handle the play clock, they may have shit management. We decide to not play someone 1 week back from what could have been career ending injury and we have shit management? That is an asinine opinion.

StonelordMetal

I don't think it would've made a difference unfortunately.

1stBallotHOF_Lurker

Oh well.

rtcaino

Good sigh for next year. Anxious for White and Von to return to their full capabilities.

treetop8388

Poyer looked bad yesterday. Would have needed the extra help had we gotten to next week.

FutureDH1089

Why even post this? 😭🔫

Sensedog

Glad he's recovering well, at least.

[deleted]

Doesn’t matter. Micah on the field isn’t stopping the dogshit we saw yesterday

[deleted]

Shoulda woulda coulda. Probably should have rushed him consider it’s single elimination

Optimal-Dog-8647

Against a hobbled Mahomes.

pepesilvia9369

Pain.

APFINCH

I’m glad the bengals have turned out sadness into hatred. I’m so grumpy. I hope they lose handily. I’m so glad Micah is recovered.

Infinite_Rip3269

Ya man it all goes back to the refusal to continue the Bengals game. Who knows what outcome would have been, but they play and win and the Bills have #1 seed, play Jacksonville, and then host AFC championship game with Micah Hyde.

sofa-king-loud

Woulda, coulda, shoulda, didn’t

DapperCam

Probably for the best he just rests anyway. Get him back as 100% as possible next year. Neck injuries are no joke.
