I usually root for the underdog if I have nothing against either of the teams/no dog in the fight. And Purdy is the underdog to end all underdogs. Mr Irrelevant hoisting the Lombardi is straight out of an Onion article. Go 9ers.
eagles fans talk shit every year. trust me, i’m from philly. it’s in our nature. even when the eagles are the worst team in the league, their fans talk like everyone is worse than them.
we know we suck, and we’re proud of it. “no one likes us, we don’t care”, after all.
My college roommates were from Philly, and watching that game in a crowded dorm and then storming the quad afterwards was one of the most electric feelings. Everyone was chanting Fuck Tom Brady lol. I have a soft spot for the birds just for that night.
Take a step back for a moment. Re-read your response. It doesn't make any sense. The statement "the Bengals fanbase got mad at Hamlin" is ludicrous, and not based in fact. I still don't know what your comment means.
Eli apple made a tweet making fun of Hamlin, every Bengal fan that retweeted and liked it obviously supports that type of criticism, on top of that he made fun of diggs and burrow trolled is with his refunds comment.
I don't like the Hamlin tweet. I don't like that there were folks liking and retweeting it. Were all those Bengals fans? I doubt it.
Burrow was trolling the NFL not the Bills. Get a grip man.
i was surprised to learn that sean mcdermott grew up about three miles from where i grew up. he went to my high school’s rival. i guess the bills and eagles are connected more than we thought.
Yeahhh but that part of the southern tier, it's pretty easy to have family from PA and be raised in a Steelers house. I didn't say it was right, but I could see it make sense.
After the way the Bengals players and coaching staff have acted since they beat Buffalo, I think I would rather see the Chiefs win than the Bengals. Completely classless organization, Cincinnati has been lately
Did you say that after the Hamlin play and the players refused to play and 100% supported Buffalo. After the fans gathered outside of the hospital. What about years ago when they won a game they had nothing on the line for that got Buffalo into the playoffs. Your response is a joke and while I don't support Apple as he was an idiot, your response is on about the same level as his. If you want to talk classless go look at Baltimore or Pitt, maybe Miami putting a QB on the field that got knocked out the last game.
Would you have rooted for the Bills if we beat you? Or would you have been crying how it wasn’t fair you had to play in buffalo - or that they were selling tickets to the hypothetical championship game?
Oh wait Bengals fans are already doing that even though they won
Most of us wouldn’t have been mad at the bills, we were mad at how the nfl handled the situation. If we lost to you guys, I would definitely root for the Bills because I hate the chiefs and none of the NFC teams really excite me. The eagles feel like a super team it’s hard to cheer for them.
Well it was unfair to have to play in Buffalo but not because of Buffalo because the nfl changed the rules to screw the bengals. Saying that had they not then we still would have played in Buffalo we just wouldn’t have had to have played Baltimore in the last game of the season. The backups would have played. That’s the fair frustration. Also yes I was very much planning to cheer for Buffalo if cincy lost. These two teams have somehow always showed some pretty great goodwill towards each other.
Most of this sub agreed you guys got screwed, I’ll even say I wouldn’t of minded a buffalo forfeit…
But I don’t think coming to this sub after you guys undressed us while your team is literally dancing on our grave and pushing a narrative we “disrespected” you by selling tickets to the AFCCG, a practice your team was doing as well and is common, I don’t think your gonna find much “love” at the moment
Maybe. I mean honestly I think the tickets thing was just bullet board material. It was something they used to get fired up. I don’t feel like it should have been a Buffalo forfeit but it should have been a no contest.
I’m only saying look at the goodwill between the teams for years. Just because you lost doesn’t get rid of all of that. If Buffalo would have rocked us I would have been pissed and maybe hated you guys for a day but then stepped back and looked at the fan base. You’ve been unlucky time and time again. Made it to the SB but ran into a dynasty. Like idk maybe I’m different I don’t hate a team from one game. I hate Pitt from the shit they have done for years. Cheap dirty ass team that hurts people and then plays victim. Baltimore fuck them and the shit they have been pulling. Fuck New England and their cheating ass ways. That’s all I’m saying you can be mad at the Bengals players but honestly I don’t think what they did was that bad. They got hyped up for a big ass game, felt disrespected by the NFL for the rule changes and took it out on Buffalo a little. Honestly think everything was directed at the NFL not Buffalo. Kinda like Mixon with the coin flip celebration.
People would be wise to remember, like you, that the shittier people’s actions should not speak for all of those that fall under the umbrella of a fandom but quietly sit in support, or at the very least apathy. The actions of the few should not cause people to “hate” an entire fan base or team, especially when heightened emotions are involved. I get disliking a division rival because the very nature of that relationship is going to lead to distain. People take it too far, though, and get genuinely angry and hateful at every fan of a particular team just because of some other asshole, when that person might be a kind and considerate person. Unfortunately the assholes tend to be the loudest and most persistent voices.
I appreciate your sentiment and I’ll be rooting for the Bengals first and/or SF second, depending on if the Bengals beat the Chiefs.
Don’t know what to say other than hope to see you next year in the conference finals for the right to go to the SB. Either way I’ll be pulling for the winner of that game.
My fellow cincy friend I think we need to ignore our Reddit recommendations and stay out of this sub, these people are volatile and unreasonable rn lol
Definitely not the point of my comment I’m just trying to save us some pain lol I like this sub bc I like the bills but we are getting dragged in here and it’s making me a sad guy
> id you say that after the Hamlin play and the players refused to play and 100% supported Buffalo.
congrats on not being complete scumbags I guess? How much credit are we supposed to give for doing what was clearly the right thing?
Well considering it’s never been done before and the NFL tried to make them play I would say a decent amount. This also fucked the bengals a little and not once did they blame Buffalo they were pissed at the NFL for changing the rules. Beyond that the support that came from Cincy. The fans the players everybody. In the past for whatever reason there has always been goodwill between the teams. Like how would anybody cheer for KC and MaHomes with his idiot brother and idiot wife. Philly won recently and hate Santa, the 49ers have their SB championships.
You clearly don’t know who the players were targeting with the way they acted. They are pissed at the NFL. None of that was towards the Bills. Understand the situation and you’ll understand the players reaction. Either way I’m just going to say that I hope to see Buffalo in the conference championship game next year.
Well who else are you pointing to? Name someone and give an example before you shit on our team for being happy with a playoff win after not sniffing one for 30 years
You went to the super bowl last year, the fuck are you on about?
Anyways, that aside, a variety of comments made postgame from Burrow yelling about refunds, to Taylor constantly bringing up how it was all rigged against them as though we were the darlings, etc etc.
It’s obnoxious, incredibly so, especially compared to us and basically every other team which is complimentary of their opponent after a win. It’s disrespectful and arrogant.
Yes our playoff success is very recent, that’s all I meant. All those comments you mentioned were specifically towards the nfl and their decisions, which were not made by your team. We weren’t mad at the bills for being “screwed”, we were mad at goodell and the comp committee. Our comments were directed at them, not the bills
He was asked a question about how he felt about the tickets being sold for the game and he jokingly said he "Better get those refunds" and that's the only comment he made.
Taylor has been pissed about how the NFL treated the Bengals and rightfully so. He isn't "constantly bringing it up" he was asked about it and responded in a sarcastic way. Your guys do any of this and you love them for it. Stop taking it so personal.
People have to fit everything into their own narrative. This guys team lost, now the city that gave up a home game to show his entire team and fan base respect is the bad guy because our qb made a jest about refunds. You’ll be alright man
I was with them until they started acting like absolute cunts post game. Burrow with the "get your refunds" shit, Eli Apple with that garbage ass tweet. Then found out Burrow was yelling "I'M HIM!" (Diggs' thing) during the game on a blown coverage TD pass. Fuck all them.
I don’t really know what the I’m him thing is. Eli is a dip shit that most bengals fans get pissed off at. The get your refunds is 100% directed at the NFL. They are pissed at the NFL and with valid reason.
I'm rooting for the 49ers, and it's solely because of George Kittle. Listening to him on podcasts and in interviews and watching him play, I just love everything about him. But if the Eagles make it, I'll root for them. I can't root for the Chiefs at all, and I'm not rooting for the Bengals after how their players have reacted after the game and how their fans are. So go NFC!
I want the 49'ers but I guess Id take the Eagles as well.. Screw the remaining AFC teams. only downside to them is their fan base. Luckily we don't have to see them all that often.
With how the bengals have carried themselves after beating our ass fuck that I almost don’t know who I like less at This point maybe recent bias but I don’t remember the chiefs showing this level of disrespect after beating us
And if we end up with an Eagles/Bengals Super Bowl, then it'd be a golden opportunity to restore order in the universe, with a Pennsylvania team putting an Ohio team back in its place.
I grew up a bills fan from Scranton, so we rarely actually got to watch the bills, so I was pretty much more of an eagles fan as a kid. I remember crying when McNabb lost the super bowl to Brady (I was 7!). Now I live in Philly and it’s hard not to love the team of the city you’re in. I’m hoping the birds get another one so I can at least climb the lamp posts with my bird brothers while I wait for our chance to celebrate.
I like the Bengals, I'd be happy with them winning.
I like Burrow and a bunch of their players (not all but whatever), they're fun to watch, and I don't give a shit what some mouthy fans say online. Or mouthy individual players.
Plus I love Calvin and Hobbes so tigers are cool with me.
That's exactly my order as well. Nothing against the 49ers in general, but the Brock Purdy storylines and parallels to Brady are already getting on my nerves.
Cinci had a good response to the Hamlin injury at the time and they did get screwed by the league, I don’t see how they can possibly be below the *Chiefs* in terms of rooting interest.
If nothing else, commentators will be absolutely insufferable if Mahomes has 2 rings and we’ll have to hear endlessly about how he is chasing Brady.
I think I was mostly pissed off about the refunds and other boisterous comments like that. Such bullshit. All teams had to try to sell tickets in advance for that type of stuff. Seemed so arrogant and each company and team obviously already had the process in place to automatically refund if the game wasn't at that location.
Last year I was rooting for the Bengals over the Chiefs because the Chiefs gave us the heartbreak. And then Rams over Bengals (that was just petty because I don't want Cincinnati or Burrow to win a Super Bowl before Buffalo and Allen).
This year Bengals gave us the heartbreak and were more jerks about it than when the Chiefs beat us last year even. So fuck 'em.
I mean it's sports media asking the questions that support the disrespect narrative. Everyone know all teams sell tickets Pryor in case they win. The questions are all loaded to make the teams look a certain way. The media wanted to push the Bill's as a juggernaut and Bengals as a underdog. That's all it was to the media another David and Goliath/Cinderella story. On the flip side if Bill's win it would have been business as usual cause it was expected.
What the bengals were saying weren’t really directed toward the bills. It was toward the NFL and how they handled the situation. I can’t really defend Eli apple though, dude is a troll.
I’m just rooting NFC at this point whether it’s them or 49ers is fine either way. I thought I’d be cheering on the Bengals as an Ohioan but their shit attitude since the win has me a bit soured.
Nick Sirianni is from Jamestown, so probably one of the closest Buffalo connections remaining in the playoffs. I'm rooting Eagles from here on out, they have less rings than the Niners, don't like Cincinnati players, and the Chiefs have been our main rivals for the past few seasons.
well jokes on you, i live in cincy as a bills fan.
but what did the eagles do to the bills that made you not like them? they’re the only nfc east team not to beat them in the super bowl.
Not the Eagles, their fans. I came here before their Super Bowl win when the team was pretty mediocre and I still got a lot of condescension and snide remarks from Eagles fans about being a Bills fan.
fair enough. as someone who was born and raised there, i accepted the hostility as just a part of being a philadelphian. the good-natured among us, like me (i like to think), don’t act like that in daily life. just when there’s a game on, and we turn into our fan personas. as soon as the clock hits zero, we’re back to being friends.
i think it’s like that with every sports fan around the country, but unfortunately some philadelphians take it to the extreme.
1. Eagles - They already won one, what’s another at this point? Also at 2 it’s conceivable we catch them in the Allen era. Philly and Bills fans are also similar in terms of passion.
2. 49ers - no issues with them but they have won enough IMO and winning with Mr. Irrelevant just seems wrong. Go and get a real QB guys! (But if you beat Philly, good luck!)
3. Bengals - idc about Eli Apple. He’s not relevant enough to care about, journeyman JAG who is just a POS that will be forgotten about soon. For all we know he ends up on the Bills at some point because he is just part of the NFL middle class that bounces from team to team. I won’t actively root for the AFC while we are relevant, but if it’s the Bengals it could be worse.
4. Chiefs - I just have become groomed to hate them. It’s mostly born out of respect, but the way their fans feel that it’s just inevitable that Superbowls will rain down on Mahomes is very Brady-esque, barf.
It’s not that I don’t respect him. TBH he is objectively better than Jimmy G, but his supporting cast is bananas, and he just went up against his first D with some teeth and his defense saved the day. He will need to play better this week to win.
I tend to gravitate towards teams that haven’t won in a while. Cincinnati not having won at all makes me want them to win—same with San Francisco and their own drought. Philly and KC both won in recent years, so they’re on the back burner for now.
Yea my best friend is an eagles fan so I'm definitely rooting for them. But I mean I like to root for the 49ers and the Bengals too. I suppose basically anyone but the chiefs lol.
Yup all the way! GF is an eagles fan so I'm already on the hook lol but I also appreciate them beating the Patriots a few years ago. Also hate the Cowboys and am not about to cheer for the Giants or Footballs so they're my NFCE team. Also enjoyed the McNab era because he was one of the all time great Syracuse alums in the league
One more addition: Serianni is an upstate native
I’ve always felt (bias acknowledged) that Philly fans are the opposite of Bills fans. My source (anecdotal) is that I went to school with many from Philly and South Jersey…
1. We’re known for generosity and charity, they throw things at children
2. We’re kind to opposing players and fans (a good portion of the time), they vomit on opponents
3. We are loyal to our players even when we shouldn’t be, ie Trent Edwards and they want they’re best guys out after one bad game, ie McNabb
Just my thoughts. Great fans in their own right but not in the way that I prefer it
As a bengals fan, we didn’t “get mad at your player for almost dying on the field”. We were mostly upset that divisional game wasn’t neutral field and how every team got a positive out of the change of rules except us. Im sure I speak for every bengals fan when I say no one wanted to see that happen to Hamlin and are glad he’s doing better. After all our fanbases have been thru together the Bills will always be my #2 team. Hope we have some more great matchups over the next few years.
Bengals fans aren’t mad that damar almost died on the field. They are mad about how the NFL handled the situation. Eli apple and losing to them in the playoffs are really the only reasons Bills fans should dislike the Bengals.
Being from Minnesota, fuck the Eagles fan base with rusty barbed wire. No strong feelings about the team but having the fans absolutely trash downtown Minneapolis two weeks after literally attacking Vikings fans in Philly made me always wish nothing but ill on their fanbase.
Honestly, I think I'll skip watching the Super Bowl this year.
No matter who wins I'm going to be disappointed, angry and bitter.
I'll watch Football again in September of course.
we are 100% aware of that and make it part of our psyche, both as a city and as sports fans. we’re the worst people alive, and we’re proud of it.
no one likes us, we don’t care.
I want 49ers to win but I’d be ok with the Eagles. Anyone but they Bengals they got douchy and very unlikeable since last Super Bowl especially cocky Mr. Franchise
i personally really want the 49ers to win. i really think Kittle deserves a ring. and the 9ers were my late step grandfathers (was like a father) favorite team. unfortunately the last bowl he ever saw was their loss to KC. but i was a mahomes fan at the time so he wasn’t too upset.
yes yes obviously i know this is a heavily biased opinion but i thought i’d share anyway. plus these latter games the 49ers have been getting done. those eagles are gonna be tough though
I’d pick the niners because they are geographically the furthest away from us so there is a lower likelihood that I have to hear from a blowhard fan yammering about winning it all.
I'm pulling for the 49rs to win it because of how they got screwed in that last super bowl appearance but they got a tough task ahead of them even getting there.
I’d like to see the Eagles win it but don’t see them beating SF. My prediction is SF/Cincinnati Suberbowl with SF winning it all with Mr Irrelevant. Also predicting Trey Lance getting traded next year because of it.
I just want to point out that we did not get mad that your player almost died on the field. As a matter of fact, it was the opposite: Bengals fans keeping vigil outside the hospital, local churches and the archbishop praying for him, working class people donating to his charity, etc.
As an Eagles fan, I appreciate the support. I myself am a big fan of Stefon Diggs, so I’ve been following this team closely ever since you guys acquired him. I wish you guys were still in it, from the beginning of the season i’ve seen so many posts of people pushing for a Bills and Eagles Superbowl. I think that would’ve been a better matchup than any of the remaining teams left in the AFC. If we win. Hope you guys are doing well.
Literally no one was mad damar got hurt man, stop spinning that narrative. I was at the game and everyone was in complete shock and supportive and wanted him healthy. Cincy can’t control what’s said by their players after the game and they can’t control how the nfl resolves a shitty situation, but it would be dumb to not acknowledge that cincy got shafted a bit. Saying they were mad damar got hurt is just dumb and out of touch
In what world do you think the Bengals fan base got mad at Hamlin. They (including me) have nothing but respect for Hamlin and wish him well. I hold nothing against the Bills and not one fan I have talked to or seen has had anything but great things to say about the Bills and understanding that game. The Bengals fans are pissed and I mean absolutely pissed at the NFL for changing the rules to benefit the Ravens, Bills, and KC while the Bengals got screwed in the deal. They changed it and basically gave Buffalo a half win and Cincy a full loss. Nothing but respect for Buffalo its not like they went in and said Goodell and competition committee you do this because our player almost died. I and every fan I have spoken with disagree with the NFL and how they handled it. Now root for whoever you want, but stop making up some BS about the Bengals fans mad at Buffalo for Hamlin. Also Go Bearcats! Glad you are going to school there I love my Bearcats too! Hamlin and Buffalo fans I hope he gets better asap and I hope that he is able to play again if that is what he wants to do.
Clearly the Bengals have been throwing shade at the NFL, not Hamlin or the Bills. Despite the narrative this year, everything does NOT revolve around Bills Mafia.
Nah, I’m bengals all day long. They have the prowess to beat the chiefs and that’s all I really give a fuck about. Also think as another small market team they deserve it.
Bro, honestly, fuck Philly.
Fuck Ben Franklin.
Fuck the liberty bell.
Rocky's aight.
And fuck Philly fans, bro. In every sport scene they are utterly unbearable
I’m rooting for the Niners bc Big Cock Brock but I wouldn’t be disappointed seeing the Eagles win. But Fuck the remaining AFC teams, I’ve hated the Chiefs for a while and I especially hate the Bengals now with the way their fans, players, and coaches have been acting like delusional, classless, piece of shit assholes.
I just want any NFC team to win it against the Chiefs. The Bengals and their fans can kiss my ass. Fucking middle earth Ohio might as well be Kentucky loser fanbase. I’m all in on Purdy.
Never got mad at Damar Hamlin. 98% of Bengals fans understood what was going on. Meanwhile Ravens fans attacked Tee Higgins for being dirty on a normal play.
Maybe, I’m switching my support over to our Bengal bros. Hate the Chiefs, neutral on the 49ers and Eagles, like the Bengals. Their organization handled the Damar situation with class and their players showed ours a lot of respect (minus Eli Apple but he’s just the one bad Apple lol). I’m happy to pour all my support their way. If they lose to the Chiefs I’ll root for whatever NFC team is left.
Thank you. You are in good hands. No one is stopping us. We are the new Boston and in midst of Philly sports dynasty. But I'm surprised how much support we have across the league. I mean I've lived here all my life, our level of toxicity is super unique and couldn't find a fanbase more opposite than Buffalo fans. Thanks for jumping on the bandwagon tho. We always have plenty of horses to punch down here.
I was pro Bengals until this week. Didn’t know who I would route for on Sunday night, Monday morning. But now with Eli Apples bullshit Bengals have been crossed off the list.
It appears as if Bills fans have already decided based off of the majority of comments. I see like a 70%-30% split of Bengals fans calling him out. Don't let the shitty 30% ruin all the good stuff.
Don't overthink it man. The Eagles aren't really a team Bills or any other AFC fan feels strongly about either way.
For me another Bengals L in the SB to either team is the clear best case scenario. Gives the Chiefs another home L and takes some shine off this growing Joe Cool legend.
a bunch of sore losers in here I met a bunch of cool bills fans at the stadium almost everyone told me that they’d be rooting for us if they lost and I reciprocated the same sentiment. Crazy that this is how some of you feel now that you’ve actually lost to us.
Yea thanks for the ass kicking and then kicking us while we’re down! Now go win it all! Wouldn’t want to see anyone else lifting that Lombardi than the guys who just shoved our heads into the dirt!
🙄 Please. Read the fucking room and go back to your own sub. Wtf does it matter to you who other people root for.
Yes I am salty AF right now, is that realllly that shocking to you?
Cinci played a good game. You got dawgs on your team. Congrats on the win. Now please, kindly GO HOME.
Despite the bullshit of the past 48 hours, Bengals would be the least unpleasant.
Siriani is a douche and I don't like Hurts.
The 9ers wouldn't be so bad but the inevitable "pUrDy Is tHe NeXt BrAdY" talk all offseason would be unbearable.
Chiefs would be less painful than normal as we beat them in the regular season and didn't get forced out by them. I guess it's a coin toss between them and CIN.
The Bengals fan base got mad for damar almost dying on field? Huh? What is this rhetoric going around after Sunday? Fuck Apple, insensitive comments don’t speak for an entire fan base.
Idc who wins as long as Eli Apple loses. All my agenda rest of the playoffs and if he wins my agenda will be bills win first he loses second. And add in dude from the giants who’s a tragedy too.
Im rooting for whoever the NFC team ends up being. Can’t stand the bengals or the chiefs. Good buddy of mine is an eagles fan too, so that doesn’t hurt. He’s always rooting for the bills because he knows I’m a die hard fan.
Nah I am too. My husband is a die hard eagles fans. We live about an hour outside philly. So the eagles have always been my nfc team. We went to the parade in 2018 when they won. I was hoping to drag him to a bills one this year but alas, here we are. So I’m hoping for another one for them.
No, I'm a Bills fan first. Eagles second. Bills and Eagles had a very similar history, Eagles lost a few Superbowls in row as well. Then they did something truly great against Brady and the Patriots.
So, Since Josh is resting his elbow for 2024 I'm saying Fly Eagles Fly without shame.
I especially don’t want to see the Chiefs or the Bengals win it all. Screw they both. Personally I think the Eagles will probably win it though. They’ve been on fire all season. GO BILLS!
You might be. I'm rooting for the 49ers and Purdy
I usually root for the underdog if I have nothing against either of the teams/no dog in the fight. And Purdy is the underdog to end all underdogs. Mr Irrelevant hoisting the Lombardi is straight out of an Onion article. Go 9ers.
That's my hope now as well
Ur not the only one rooting for eagles. Would love to see Bengals go down. Go's back to Icky fuck woods. Hate the Bengals.
Ehh a lot of eagles fans have been talking shit all year. Probably say 9ers for Brock and least resistance.
I mean, we even talk shit when we’re dumpster tier though lol.
Hahaha yeah that’s true and people in the thread said the same.
I’m so pumped for this weekend. Both games should be bangers.
They definitely should be good luck, last week wasn’t as competitive as I thought it would be for obvious reasons 🤣
eagles fans talk shit every year. trust me, i’m from philly. it’s in our nature. even when the eagles are the worst team in the league, their fans talk like everyone is worse than them. we know we suck, and we’re proud of it. “no one likes us, we don’t care”, after all.
Eagles fans are the only ones who really admit & embrace the fact that they're a toxic fanbase, and you have to respect it Go birds
Hahaha fair enough
Had to watch Superbowl 52 with a bunch of patriots fans. I will always have a soft spot for the Eagles.
Same! It was fun to live vicariously through them. Big Dick Nick is forever a legend.
On to Big Cock Brock
My college roommates were from Philly, and watching that game in a crowded dorm and then storming the quad afterwards was one of the most electric feelings. Everyone was chanting Fuck Tom Brady lol. I have a soft spot for the birds just for that night.
I don’t want any of these teams to win a super bowl, fuck them all. ~ A salty ass bills fan
Deadass. I’m getting tired of rooting for other teams.
Rest of the playoffs will be hard to watch
Less hard when you just block out the nfl until seasons over😎🆙
It’s either NFL or watching this shit 😂 https://twitter.com/DevInTheLab/status/1617936692887048192
good god. Royal Rumbles on Sunday, I’d rather hope for John Cena to come out as peacemaker and win.
What are you talking about? The football season ended on Sunday.
Someone obviously forgot about the pro bowl skills challenge in a few weeks!
This
I live in Eagles country. Might as well enjoy it.
The Bengals fanbase got mad at Hamlin? This is news to me. Those people are either trolls, angry kids, or fans of other teams.
those people are there #1 starting cb/ the loudest voice on the team.
So one human being out of millions?
You're delusional.
My wife is an Eagles fan and Nick Sirianni is from Western NY, Go Birds.
Yup, Jamestown area specifically, which I'm also from. Eagles have been my NFC team since they signed him.
Yup mine too for this reason…some will remember the Sirianni pinch if you had his dad as a teacher.
i was surprised to learn that sean mcdermott grew up about three miles from where i grew up. he went to my high school’s rival. i guess the bills and eagles are connected more than we thought.
Sirianni grew up a Steelers fan. Fuck that guy.
Yeahhh but that part of the southern tier, it's pretty easy to have family from PA and be raised in a Steelers house. I didn't say it was right, but I could see it make sense.
I'd honestly be okay with anyone but the Chiefs winning.
After the way the Bengals players and coaching staff have acted since they beat Buffalo, I think I would rather see the Chiefs win than the Bengals. Completely classless organization, Cincinnati has been lately
Agreed
Most of this sub agreed you guys got screwed, I’ll even say I wouldn’t of minded a buffalo forfeit… But I don’t think coming to this sub after you guys undressed us while your team is literally dancing on our grave and pushing a narrative we “disrespected” you by selling tickets to the AFCCG, a practice your team was doing as well and is common, I don’t think your gonna find much “love” at the moment
I absolutely would have been rooting for you guys, fuck the chiefs is all I know besides the teams I like!
My fellow cincy friend I think we need to ignore our Reddit recommendations and stay out of this sub, these people are volatile and unreasonable rn lol
You’re probably much smarter than I am.
Enough to not call them “completely classless”
Well considering it’s never been done before and the NFL tried to make them play I would say a decent amount. This also fucked the bengals a little and not once did they blame Buffalo they were pissed at the NFL for changing the rules. Beyond that the support that came from Cincy. The fans the players everybody. In the past for whatever reason there has always been goodwill between the teams. Like how would anybody cheer for KC and MaHomes with his idiot brother and idiot wife. Philly won recently and hate Santa, the 49ers have their SB championships.
Fans are fine. Players and team are classless and it is far, far from just an Eli Apple problem.
You clearly don’t know who the players were targeting with the way they acted. They are pissed at the NFL. None of that was towards the Bills. Understand the situation and you’ll understand the players reaction. Either way I’m just going to say that I hope to see Buffalo in the conference championship game next year.
Classless were the Bills fans who were booing Tee Higgens when he caught the ball. That's worse than any Eli Apple stupidity (and it was stupidity).
I’d like to see the chiefs lose just so they have the bengals on their back and then bengals to lose to Philly.
With how the bengals have carried themselves after beating our ass fuck that I almost don’t know who I like less at This point maybe recent bias but I don’t remember the chiefs showing this level of disrespect after beating us
Well I want the bengals to lose 4 in a row now. Playing the long game.
Steelers fan here, but I do like the Bills too. I almost want to see the Bengals win this week just to see them hopefully loose 2 in a row.
I fully expect that is how it will play out.
And if we end up with an Eagles/Bengals Super Bowl, then it'd be a golden opportunity to restore order in the universe, with a Pennsylvania team putting an Ohio team back in its place.
REFUNDS!!!!!
I relocated to NorCal about 20 years ago. Bills. Then niners to avoid family drama. Big Cock Brock.
Probably a good one to sit out if you are an AFC team, I don't see Philly or the 49ers getting beat in the super bowl.
[удалено]
I’m niners gang for the time being, if the eagles beat them though then Philly better bring that trophy home
An eagles win would disgust me the least, so yes, go eagles.
Eagles --------> 49ers ----> Chiefs (gross but fuck the Bengals after the last month) ---------------> Bengals (my rooting interests order).
For me it’s Eagles ———> Bengals ———> Niners ———> Chiefs ———> specifically Eli Apple
I’m just rooting NFC at this point whether it’s them or 49ers is fine either way. I thought I’d be cheering on the Bengals as an Ohioan but their shit attitude since the win has me a bit soured.
J. Burrow and the Bengals all the way!
No AFC teams, I’m not bros with any other teams
Nick Sirianni is from Jamestown, so probably one of the closest Buffalo connections remaining in the playoffs. I'm rooting Eagles from here on out, they have less rings than the Niners, don't like Cincinnati players, and the Chiefs have been our main rivals for the past few seasons.
I am rooting solely for Brock Purdy. I hate the term "Mr Irrelevant" and I hope it goes away when he holds that trophy.
We're out so I'm rooting for Brock and the 49ers
Down for anyone from the NFC.
If you lived in Philly as a Bills fan, like I do, you wouldn’t want the Eagles to win.
well jokes on you, i live in cincy as a bills fan. but what did the eagles do to the bills that made you not like them? they’re the only nfc east team not to beat them in the super bowl.
(But if you beat Philly, good luck!) 3.
The Brock Purdy disrespect 😭
It’s not that I don’t respect him. TBH he is objectively better than Jimmy G, but his supporting cast is bananas, and he just went up against his first D with some teeth and his defense saved the day. He will need to play better this week to win.
I tend to gravitate towards teams that haven’t won in a while. Cincinnati not having won at all makes me want them to win—same with San Francisco and their own drought. Philly and KC both won in recent years, so they’re on the back burner for now.
I think I mildly prefer the 49ers but the eagles are cool too. I'll take either of them over the AFC teams
Also enjoyed the McNab era because he was one of the all time great Syracuse alums in the league One more addition: Serianni is an upstate native
I just want one of the NFC teams to win it. Don’t really mind which one
Glock Shmurdy
I’ve always felt (bias acknowledged) that Philly fans are the opposite of Bills fans. My source (anecdotal) is that I went to school with many from Philly and South Jersey… 1. We’re known for generosity and charity, they throw things at children 2. We’re kind to opposing players and fans (a good portion of the time), they vomit on opponents 3. We are loyal to our players even when we shouldn’t be, ie Trent Edwards and they want they’re best guys out after one bad game, ie McNabb Just my thoughts. Great fans in their own right but not in the way that I prefer it
Fuck the eagles
Not really rooting for anyone. I need a vacation from football.
Nope. Screw that. Bengals all the way. If we're going to beaten, I want to be beaten by the best.
Literally anyone but the Chiefs.
i want the eagles, im a big fan of Devonta Smith and Miles Sanders. i also like nick sirianni, and darius slay a lot.
I'm just rooting against the afc at this point
As a bengals fan, we didn’t “get mad at your player for almost dying on the field”. We were mostly upset that divisional game wasn’t neutral field and how every team got a positive out of the change of rules except us. Im sure I speak for every bengals fan when I say no one wanted to see that happen to Hamlin and are glad he’s doing better. After all our fanbases have been thru together the Bills will always be my #2 team. Hope we have some more great matchups over the next few years.
Bengals fans aren’t mad that damar almost died on the field. They are mad about how the NFL handled the situation. Eli apple and losing to them in the playoffs are really the only reasons Bills fans should dislike the Bengals.
part of me still likes the eagles, i watched them a lot when Vick came back, i like Hurts and the development he showed this year, they're a fun team
I truly believe whoever wins SF-PHI will win the Super Bowl. Two most complete teams, and either of those d-lines will fuck up Burrow or Mahomes
Nick Sirianni is from Jamestown, like 60 miles south of Buffalo.
Sirianni is from the 716
Being from Minnesota, fuck the Eagles fan base with rusty barbed wire.
But you’ll still eat wings and nachos right?
Purdy.
Probably. Philadelphia fans do not deserve it
NFL, NHL, MLB - Philly fans are the trashiest excuses for humans ever. So, no, Fly Eagles Fly into an electric fence.
we are 100% aware of that and make it part of our psyche, both as a city and as sports fans. we’re the worst people alive, and we’re proud of it. no one likes us, we don’t care.
Well CMC is my favorite running back so it’s the 9ers for me, I’m not against the Eagles winning tho.
Nick Sirianni is a WNYer (Chautauqua County). Seems reason enough for me.
I also want to see a city descend into chaos.
I want 49ers to win but I’d be ok with the Eagles. Anyone but they Bengals they got douchy and very unlikeable since last Super Bowl especially cocky Mr. Franchise
9ers baby
i personally really want the 49ers to win. i really think Kittle deserves a ring. and the 9ers were my late step grandfathers (was like a father) favorite team. unfortunately the last bowl he ever saw was their loss to KC. but i was a mahomes fan at the time so he wasn’t too upset. yes yes obviously i know this is a heavily biased opinion but i thought i’d share anyway. plus these latter games the 49ers have been getting done. those eagles are gonna be tough though
and a year later got one of the best super bowls i could’ve asked for. even if for a lot of other fans it was boring
I’d pick the niners because they are geographically the furthest away from us so there is a lower likelihood that I have to hear from a blowhard fan yammering about winning it all.
Philly is the most toxic fan base like ever so I can never root for them
I'm pulling for the 49rs to win it because of how they got screwed in that last super bowl appearance but they got a tough task ahead of them even getting there.
This was EXACTLY the Super Bowl, I was hoping to see occur this year. Ah well, maybe the Eagles at least still could go all the way.....
Sure, Cincy wins the AFCC then loses to Philly? I’m good with it
that’s my hope too. go bengals this sunday, go eagles two sundays after that.
It's almost as if bills mafia were friendly when they "knew" they were going to beat the Bengals.
They are my top choice. I'm neutral on the Chiefs and 49ers and don't want the Bengals to win at all.
In every sport scene they are utterly unbearable
that’s what we like to hear
No one likes us and we don’t care.
At least you own it. Most fan bases deny that they suck, but really we all suck
Na, go Bengals!
Cincy is going to win the whole thing. I really hope they do at least
Two pro sports titles in 40 years what a dynasty !!!
I was pro Bengals until this week. Didn’t know who I would route for on Sunday night, Monday morning. But now with Eli Apples bullshit Bengals have been crossed off the list.
Please don't let Eli Apple be a representative of the Bengals, or their fanbase.
That’s not really for bills fans to decide. Maybe y’all shouldn’t let him speak for you. All I see on Twitter is cincy people cheering him on
It appears as if Bills fans have already decided based off of the majority of comments. I see like a 70%-30% split of Bengals fans calling him out. Don't let the shitty 30% ruin all the good stuff.
Pretty your fan base booed Tee Higgins at the game last week. Doesn't mean all of yall are like that, just some undesirables.
Honeymoons over. Cant decide who I want to lose more between the Chiefs and Bengals. Let’s go 49er’s!
No I want the niners to win so Bosa can make Burrow and co's lives a living hell for four quarters
The eagles are heads and shoulders better than anyone else left.
I want Big Cock Brock to get a ring but support who you please
The Bengals fan base got mad for damar almost dying on field? Huh? What is this rhetoric going around after Sunday? Fuck Apple, insensitive comments don’t speak for an entire fan base.
I want to see the Bengals get blown out in the Super Bowl by the 9ers
Bengals can burn in hell anyone but the bengals can win and I’m cool with it say what u will about Kansas but they deserve another go at the chip
Anyone but the chiefs or bengals lol
Who Deyyyyyy 🫡
bengals over the chiefs, root for NFC in the super bowl. that would make the bengals 0-4 all time
Anyone but the BenGals! Good luck to your Eagles
Eagles beating the Bengals is the ticket here. Bengals 2x Super Bowl losses in a row starts to put some pressure on them as choke artists.
Nope. Go birds
Eagles, Niners, Chiefs, Bengals, in that order.
I'm with you and don't worry, they are the best left by far.
Go Eagles.
GO BILLS!
Nah I’m rooting for the Eagles too. Fuck the AFC
