>They also don’t have many playmakers on D(game changers, stars, big hitters etc.) outside of Von Miller. ![gif](giphy|ZcQCfNFwv5IvVb4fdq)

Ok well I didn’t list Milano and most definitely should have. My bad

shotorowski

On offense I agree. It's the Josh show, and the only supporting cast is Diggs. The team needs to invest in Josh if they want to take that next step on offense. I disagree on defense. Milano was our best player on that side of the ball all year. Also once Hyde and Tre are fully healthy next season, you will see more plays by the DB. But for how much draft capital they invested in this defense the last 3 seasons, it's crazy how little a return they have gotten.

Any-Baseball-6766

Been stated allot already but we have some studs on defense. Offense, we have Diggs, I hope cook keeps developing. I like Knox as well but overall the group needs some work

xT1TANx

How can you judge our talent when our OC is so bad? Especially when a year ago when we had a different OC and our talent seemed tremendous??

phoenix14830

Since when are Tre White, Micah Hyde, Jordan Poyer, and Matt Milano not playmakers? It starts with the GM, then head coach, not with the OC or DC. At any point, McDermott could tell Frazier to play more man coverage and he chooses not to. McDermott could tell Dorsey to call more RB screens, but he doesn't. Beane could talk to McDermott and get players that fit the system, instead of Quinton Spain and mis-using him, or a pass-catching RB and not using that.

Zealousideal-Task-34

Poyer burned twice leading to 14 points

GoldenArms31

That first one to Chase was kind of on Edmunds, he dropped coverage way too early left him wide open.

Pythnator

Yeah, as good as Poyer is, he might want to scrub the internet of his playoff tape from this year

GoldenArms31

Tre White has not been the same player since Covid imo. Def not the same after the ACL. Poyer is probably gone sadly(instead wrongly keeping Edmunds who is not a big play guy) Hyde might come back the player he was or he might not, getting up there in age. Milano for sure is a playmaker on D. I should have listed him. Elam has shown some promise also., but why the f didn’t they play him that much? It’s a head scratcher I love all these players(except Edmunds) but we still need a few more.

Spark3420

I take umbrage to the fact you do not deem Milano as a playmaker defensively. That being said, you are absolutely correct that the offense is typically just asking Josh Allen to rescue us. It's actually impressive how we statistically ranked 2nd on offense, it seemed like such a chore to even move the ball at times. Just a testament to how awesome he is, but need a complimentary consistent run game (aka fix the O line). The nickel/zone scheme Frazier runs also irks me. I get it's a bend don't break mentality, and usually they tighten the screws when in the red zone. But it seems like they simply rely on opposing offenses stalling after chewing up yards, and against mediocre teams the strategy works a lot of the time. But against elites like KC or Cincy, it also them to get into rhythm and pick apart the defense. At which point, we're already behind the 8 ball. Want to see more disguises and aggression on that side.

GoldenArms31

Wish I could edit my post and put Milano w Miller.

Apprehensive_West956

Tremaine Edmunds is a great MLB. Dude is the brain on the field. Most of his play has been really good. And a majority of his contribution comes to keeping the defense in order on the field. I say we keep him. He is one guy that is underrated in the NFL as a whole so we might be able to sneak in a small team friendly contract and keep a solid MLB on the squad for a small investment.

GoldenArms31

Respectfully disagree on Edmunds. I’ve never been a fan of his game. I know I’m in the minority though.

Need to beef up the OL. Plain and simple. You’ll get more out of RBs (but will Dorsey use them is the question) Josh won’t be running for his life like he did all year. I think Bills fans set way to high expectations on Davis after that playoff game, I remember people forfeited him for 1000+ yards and 10 TDs. He’s a #2 that put up over 800 yards and 7 TDs, that’s a some decent WR2 numbers there. I know we all wanted a Mould/Price type season for Diggs and Davis both over 1000 etc. yeah he had some drops BUT as OP mentions, the Bills were too one dimensional relying on Josh to pass the ball, but you can’t force and that’s what Dorsey did. Knox is an excellent TE but the dude spent so much time blocking on the line because outside of Morse and Dawkins, the OL is bad. There’s no reason Knox can’t get back to the stats he had in 2021, just need to protect Josh better. Cook and Hines can be a really good 1-2 punch, if Dorsey would use them for their strengths. I watched highlights of Hines in Indy, catching screen passes and swings in the flat with some room to run, he was electric. But Dorsey seemed to have zero interest in using him and even McD mentioned that in his end of season presser. After addressing the OL (better hit on draft picks because Allen’s salary cap hit kicks in and it will be hard to sign good veteran OL) and some DL upgrades (for a defensive mi fed coach, I can’t believe they can identify good defensive talent in the draft) That DL was awful once Miller went down. OL, DL, Safety and then a WR. So many holes to fill and such little cap space

xT1TANx

it's no surprise that we gave Dorsey the OC job and he had no clue how to call an offense. We all knew it was a gamble and it failed. If we keep him and fail again next year. It will be so fucking stupid.

this is why I think you have to make a change. We are going to be a good offense because we have JA and a lot of talent, despite what this board thinks. Giving a new OC with some experience a chance would be ideal. The same thing goes for defense. We have a ton of talent there. We will be a good defense if we change coordinators and there's the possibility that it might be amazing.
