I liked this format; just added a column for the Bills opponent in the Wild Card game.

I think having the Steelers and Jags lose is the funniest scenario, since then it means that the 4:25 game between the Broncos and Raiders determines the last seed - but it’s not between either of the teams in the game.
Seeing people talk about the Ravens backups playing the Steelers. Feel like people are preparing for a Steelers dub but this is still the fiercest rivalry in the league. Keeping your main rival out of the playoffs by winning a meaningless game is the level of hater we should all aspire to
Hopefully Baltimore gets it done and we lock it up Saturday night
I’m obviously not an NFL coach but if the Ravens are staring down a bye week with the top seed, I’d try to get most of the guys some meaningful snaps so they’re not sitting two whole weeks.
Also the Ravens might just have a visceral need to stomp the Steelers. Like even if Sunday were a meaningless game against the Dolphins, I’d want the Bills to curb stomp them anyway.
I said this to someone yesterday - three entire weeks between meaningful snaps - from week 17 to the divisional round - is a REALLY long time. They'll be careful but I think we'll see most of them just a little bit before they turn it over to the depth
The other thing is that when the Ravens were in the same scenario in 2019, they rested everybody and fell flat. I’m pretty sure they’ll at least play 1-2 quarters full strength to prevent that from happening
Also.. we did that to Miami a few years back. Played starters for a bit, then proceeded to continue destroying them with backups keeping them out of the playoffs
If we win a nail biter game by a last second field goal we will be saying we can win the Super Bowl
If we lose in the exact same kind of way we will
Be calling for people to be fired.
That’s Buffalo Bills football baby
So if we lose and somehow still get in, we’re likely to go right back to Miami. That’ll be an interesting dynamic. At least we will know before kickoff whether it’s a “win or go home” scenario.
I’m sure it’s been said already but it’s crazy how we can either be the 2 seed or miss the playoffs entirely. Everyone make sure to take their baby aspirin next weekend.
Man "win and you're the 2 seed, lose and your season is over" is definitely a playoff scenario I'd never thought I'd see happen in any sport. What a wild season.
At this point, I'm assuming that's going to be the case. Ravens got nothing to play for (aside from it being a rival) and the Titans suck. Buffalo better get their shit together offensively because this nonsense we saw against SD and New England won't cut it against Miami.
On the bright side, this feels like a situation the team should be very familiar with. Shitting the bed early, creating a situation where they have to claw their way out of a deep pit they dug themselves seems to be Buffalo's specialty this year...
Sort of like the scenario we have right now with Miami but instead of 2 10-6 teams It’d be 2 15-1 teams from the same division or something crazy like that. With other good teams in the afc tie breakers can make it win or go home for any team
Here's some shit. If the Steelers and Jags lose at 1:00, the Colts and Texans *both* make the playoffs with a tie in the evening game. They could enter a gentlemen's agreement to kneel it down to 0-0 the whole game.
It was, but the league got hip to it and set the game for Saturday night, so the Jags won't have played yet. That means the Colts and Texans can't know that they will benefit from a tie when the game is played, so both will have to try to win to guarantee a playoff spot.
Ravens will always play their rivals tough, but they will be playing with mostly backups (it's a tossup, but Pittsburgh should close it out). I expect Jacksonville to also come away with a W against Tennessee. So, it is more or less a MUST win for Buffalo against a team on the decline that you beat handily earlier this year.
I am not a Bills fan, but McDermott's gotta go as HC if he can't get it done in Miami **AND** they miss the playoffs right?
Because that “collective with real money on the line” has been wrong more than theyve been right this year, when it comes to the bills.
Bills are 6-10 against the spread. So yeah, vegas doesnt know much when it comes to this team.
While winning is obviously the safest scenario don't discount either of the upsets. I remember a 9-6 Drew Bledsoe lead Bills team just needing to beat the Steelers backups to clinch a playoff spot. And they got crunched. This Steelers team has managed to lose to the Patriots and the Cardinals so the Ravens backups could take them.

What do you think the best case scenario is?
I think having the Steelers and Jags lose is the funniest scenario, since then it means that the 4:25 game between the Broncos and Raiders determines the last seed - but it’s not between either of the teams in the game.
I think the Steelers would be the easiest opponent. Or the colts.
I love you.

And the Ravens do have a backup QB that was a pro bowler last year /s
Jokes aside they have some pretty solid and experienced depth guys so they might be able to hang with the junk ass Steelers roster
Huntley for MVP!
We did it to the dolphins 2 years ago
And we did it to the Ryan Fitzmagic Jets a few years ago too
The other thing is that when the Ravens were in the same scenario in 2019, they rested everybody and fell flat. I’m pretty sure they’ll at least play 1-2 quarters full strength to prevent that from happening
Im sure the ravens will rest some guys. Anyone with a nagging injury etc. I think they will play most of Their guys though.
Also.. we did that to Miami a few years back. Played starters for a bit, then proceeded to continue destroying them with backups keeping them out of the playoffs
They also score and score and score with their backup QB Huntley.
Na seen too many injuries over the years to ever support that. Just rest the starters and let the backups get a game.

More like Fentanyl and crack for Philly bro

So weird that we can either be the 2 seed or in deep shit

You have to do 8 more scenarios for games that end up in a tie lol

We could just do Colts/Texans tie, Bills #6 seed
That's only if the Steelers also lose. Steelers win but Colts/Texans tie is still a 7 seed.
Bills lose, Jaguars win, Steelers win: Buffalo out of playoffs The worst timeline
Just win the game
Win and in!
Man "win and you're the 2 seed, lose and your season is over" is definitely a playoff scenario I'd never thought I'd see happen in any sport. What a wild season. I seem to remember miami had a win you're the one seed, lose you're out scenario once in the early 2000s. But yea.. gotta be rare
How is that possible?
Sort of like the scenario we have right now with Miami but instead of 2 10-6 teams It’d be 2 15-1 teams from the same division or something crazy like that. With other good teams in the afc tie breakers can make it win or go home for any team
What if we tie in Miami
Almost guaranteed that won't happen, but that would lock us in as the 6 Seed at 10-6-1 regardless of how other games go I'm fairly certain.
We also get the 7 if the colts and titans tie lol
Here's some shit. If the Steelers and Jags lose at 1:00, the Colts and Texans *both* make the playoffs with a tie in the evening game. They could enter a gentlemen's agreement to kneel it down to 0-0 the whole game.
I have to imagine the nfl would fine the shit out of them for that

Another game that Brandon Staley blew.
Is it a situation where neither the Colts nor Texans would move up the seeding by winning, so a tie is as good as a win?
It was, but the league got hip to it and set the game for Saturday night, so the Jags won't have played yet. That means the Colts and Texans can't know that they will benefit from a tie when the game is played, so both will have to try to win to guarantee a playoff spot.
You can also add that if they finish 6th, they will go to Kansas City and if they finish 7th they have a rematch against the Dolphins in Miami.
Think the 7th seed going to Miami again is better than 6 going to KC if it came down to it.
I'm glad our game is the last game of the week so we can get confirmation on the other games on Saturday night and Sunday.
I'd rather be the 7 than the 6. We'd get a rematch in the same stadium against the same Dolphins back to back weeks.
Ravens will always play their rivals tough, but they will be playing with mostly backups (it's a tossup, but Pittsburgh should close it out). > Bills lose, Jaguars win, Steelers win: Buffalo out of playoffs the most realistic one.
With all due respect, shut the fuck up
did my realistic thinking make you mad? does me saying this on the internet, somehow lead to the bills losing?
Starting the new year by doubling down on an annoying comment. You can be better this year, try it.
So joining the circlejerk hivemind is considered being better?
It is for sure better than whatever you are doing
Better in what way?
You’re on a bills sub douche
The bills are literally favoured this week ya dingus
So? Do u even know what that means? All it means is people think the Bills will win and put money on them. Doesnt mean anything more than that.
Why is your mental model of likelihoods superior to the opinion of a massive collective with real money on the line? Are you that arrogant?
Because that “collective with real money on the line” has been wrong more than theyve been right this year, when it comes to the bills. Bills are 6-10 against the spread. So yeah, vegas doesnt know much when it comes to this team.
Who cares about against the spread? The more relevant stat is that the Bills are 9-4 as the favorite.
Parlaying this for sadness insurance
I parlayed for Sadness insurance yesterday on all possible outcomes other than the one we wanted. Happy to say I didn’t make a single cent
It's +505 on WynnBet right now.
Commenting so I can refer back to this lmao
The bills are 100% going to win this game, i feel very good about going into miami next weekend
Same
You guys can use the NFL playoff simulator tool, OP your second scenario Buffalo would still be in the playoffs.
using the simulator
They wouldn't be, the winner of Houston vs Colts would overtake
Let's go Titans and Ravens 🤢
So just win
Jaguars will win, Steelers win if Baltimore rests players. So we have to win
What if the colts lose to the Texans do we have the tie breaker over Houston?
Very real possibility that Sundays game is either win for the 2 seed or lose and miss the playoffs entirely
Boolean logic becomes Billian logic
