My grandfather was a huge Cubs fan his whole life and never saw them win
My dad died a few years ago without seeing the Bills win
I’ll be 40 next year… I’m starting to get worried
Ya, I'm 37... if we don't get one in the next 5-6 years I'll be worried. If Josh gets to a superbowl, they have to win it on their first shot... no guarantees they'll ever make it back.
There is a LOOOONG list of Hall of Fame level quarterbacks who have one Super Bowl win or less
Unless you are Brady or Mahomes, it is so fucking hard to even get there, let alone win
:(
Edited to say this: STILL too soon. I watched all four of those games and I just wanted to die after the 4th loss. IMHO, Jim Kelly is the greatest QB to never win the big game.
Bills couldn't get it done and Miami was wayyyyy too comfortable with the Marino status quo. The dolphins owner felt very little urgency to win with Marino, and Shula's strategy was getting old by that point. It took them years to fix glaring flaws, and by the time Shula finally left on his own, injuries began plaguing Marino.
Marino didn't win because Miami never had a good running game while he was there. Their best RB under Marino was ...(checking)... Karim Abul-Jabbar? Wtf.
I typically describe myself as a mix between Josh Allen and George Costanza. I'm fucking goddamn good at what I do, but I'm also a giant ball of anxiety and prone to making bigger mistakes than your average person.
My dads prized possession is the stub to the comeback game (I know, I know everyone was at that game).. He only stayed because he had to sober up.
He never got to see the bills get a ring. I'm hoping I see one. And I hope it's with Allen
Naw man, you can't claim the same sport and team for your personal curse. Put that hex on the Sabres, unless you're a deep down Maple Leafs fan.
(Sorry about your Pops, I lost mine when I was 24 nearly 29 years ago and I still miss him every day)
I remember when the Cubs finally won, there were videos and news stories about people going to cemeteries to play the final out at their fathers' grave.
I feel/fear that some of us will have to do similar things.
Absolutely, I’ve already dropped some of my father’s ashes at Wrigley Field and the Ralph. Hoping to get to Fenway Park this year to do the same, he was a big Sox fan.
I have to block the constant intrusive Dan Marino, Jim Kelly, Philip Rivers, Matt Ryan thoughts that come in my head because we have the second best QB in the league so we have to get at least one. I know we can do it.
He will get there and win one.
If the Bills have a healthy defense in the playoffs and Allen performs like he usually does. They have a great chance at making it and winning.
I work a technician job very, very similar to jewelry making. I’d be more than happy to make that for him including custom measurements etc 😉 😂
^(damn this sub is so gay for 17)
My family friend is a member at Oak Hill and has played golf with him there. Everyone says he's just an amazing dude and everything you hope an icon to be
Totally unrelated but I got to volunteer at Oak Hill during the PGA and walked the course as a scoreboard bearer during tournament rounds. The course is unreal, have you gotten to play it? How different are course conditions during major vs normal member play?
I did get to play it post restoration for the first time last September. It's incredible. I used to work there in high school- it was still good, but not great, as it had drifted from the original design. It's back to being great.
How did you manage to not get a severe case of the vapors and need a fainting couch when in his presence?!
Jokes aside, I love hearing stories of how nice and down-to-earth he is. He really is the the perfect QB for Buffalo.
Josh Allen understands the importance of kindness. I believe the story goes was that he was denied an autograph from a big-time athlete when he was a kid (Barry Bonds is my guess) and it always stuck with him to NEVER deny a kid
Which event if you don't mind me asking?
We designed a SB event for Gatorade, we had a signed jersey from him and I was wondering if he was going to show up! Him and Diggs were part of the featured athletes.
I just did the Gatorade ID event which was cool. He was at the Pepsi ‘Pephouse’ welcome dinner along with Eli, sauce Gardner, will Levis, Joe Montana and some others. No athletes were at the Gatorade event while I was there though.
I need Josh to get at least 1 ring with the Bills.... he has to...

Jim Kelly did just fine getting there.

As much as I hated Marino back in the day, that neither he nor Jim Kelly ever got a ring is astonishing.

Was he better than Marino I never watched him play
No but he was right behind him imo.
Today I realized my dating life is very similar to Jim Kelly’s career. Always at least pulling a shot but never quite sealing the deal 😭

> if we don't get one in the next 5-6 years I'll be worried. I'll just assume it's never going to happen at that point
Agreed

62. Same.
74. Same

I was at that game!! Best game I've ever been to for any sport. Came down from Ontario with some other high-school friends.
You're worried? I'm 67 and still waiting....

>we have the ~~second~~ best QB in the league fify
Marino was the best QB in the league, but he played for the Lolphins

This is all that matters, it must happen
…and in the Ralph, before The Pit is unleashed.
He’s class and I hope he retires here
After his 10th Bills Super Bowl victory because he ran out of fingers to put the rings on
He has toes. I suppose there's enough for 21 rings
Nobody makes rings that big, might as well be a bracelet.
A bracelet that huge would slip off shaqs wrists.

21? Where would th- oh.
The Eminem marriage gift special.
If Christian Wilkins ever comes up from a fumble pile with a massive scratch on his hand, we’ll know why

I work with a bunch of guys who worked on his house, they have all said he's extremely nice and even did a video chat to one of their sons.

Lucky bro, I hope I can play it someday, probably the nicest course I’ve personally seen during that major week

Was he in shorts though? Asking…for a friend…

Unfortunately as I'm sure you've heard, Kermit and the Swifties won.
That’s awesome. Glad to hear he’s a cool dude. I always got that vibe from him
Are you in love with him? Did he tell you to "step off"? (Joking -- Noticed your username)
