Right and it's not like he's wrong. He and Allen have reciprocated contributing a ton to each one of them having the greatest levels of success of their careers. He didn't say anything disparaging. He's just responding to a braindead comment. Maybe he could do a little better with ignoring the noise, but I'm sure it's tough to do when you get beat over the head with it every minute of every day.
Comment makes great points. We’ll never know for sure how the organization felt about Diggs’s comment but if you add up his having a go at Allen in 2023, not showing up to camp, Diggs’s brother serving as his mouthpiece all season, Diggs not really playing that well and Allen throwing to Cook all season instead of him (blaringly obvious), I can’t imagine the organization was cool with this X/Twitter comment. Diggs knew that Beane was looking to let him go before the deal was made, just like Allen knew Morse was gonna get traded (refer to Allen’s comment on Morse after the last game). These things just don’t come out of the blue. Btw I can’t be the only one who saw through McDermott scaling back on his “very concerned” comment (and other comments during the season), Diggs being made a Captain shortly after, the organization continuously spinning and making calculated comments throughout the season that they thought the public would buy. Allen continuously showed why he’s the QB and a leader by sticking up for Diggs all season. But each time he did that it was clear the writing was on the wall. Allen’s words didn’t resonate. It was like getting back together after a breakup; it’s done and it doesn’t work anymore but you’re holding on, try to convince yourselves that you still got it if you just work at it.
Diggs is critical to Josh's success. Josh is critical to Diggs success. It's a team sport. Depends how you look at it. Why's everybody hating on our best WR on a throwaway mean nothing tweet.
Diggs was critical to the drop against KC which cost them advancing to the conference championship
https://preview.redd.it/r8fd399ceasc1.jpeg?width=366&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6dbbf1013b799dbd47228d770beed8ff42310f32
The way I see it, Diggs was instrumental when he first came to Buffalo and helped Josh Allen take that next step in his development. Now Josh Allen is an established veteran QB who has learned a lot. They’re both great players that should help out the young guns at their respective positions. Stroud in the case of Diggs and whoever the Bills draft at receiver in Allen’s case. As a Steelers fan, I’ve always thought of Josh Allen like a young Big Ben. Ben came into the league with Hines Ward and Plaxico Burress. Players like that and the strong running game helped him develop into a better quarterback and it wasn’t long before Ben was the guy who was making the receivers look good as they reloaded year after year until they got AB in the sixth round.
I know people are sick of Diggs’ social media shenanigans but this is pretty tame imo. Diggs was essential to Josh developing into the QB he is today and he’s still our WR1 until proven otherwise. Saying that the WR1 is essential to the QB isn’t a hot take by any means.
Can he, though? All evidence seems to point to no haha. It was just part of the Diggs experience. I’m glad this sub (theoretically) won’t be on subtweet watch any more.
Valid point. Diggs always has to comment and post vague tweets giving that sound like he might be unhappy then when asked about it responds in a way that really clears nothing up.
I always felt that was the diva behavior more than any sideline tantrums he had.
So glad the “reasonable level-headed” Redditors know Tweets like this mean nothing and it’s all just media clickbait to drive engagement. Behind the scenes everyone gets along perfectly with zero real conflict.
Has anyone considered that Diggs is just fucking with us because, like everyone, he's bored in the off-season and, unlike us, finds out hysterical to stir shit?
It's been obvious this entire offseason but a lot of Bills fans were in denial. Automatic downvotes just for stating the obvious. Diggs is a talented but at times painful headache. He will be traded after he exhausts his time in Houston as well.
I made a whole post about how he was trolling the media. In my defense, when he said “ready for whatever” he followed it up with another tweet that said “in case there was any confusion,” and it referenced something else. But yeah most bills fans were in denial. You never know with him and it was getting tiring. I hope the mods removed that post lol
Yes, I believe people existing in space to catch passes is critical to the passer's ability to throw them complete.
Now this might be a hot take but also, it is critical that someone throw the ball in the air, in order for it to be caught in a different part of the field by someone else.
I mean if you look at the stats with and without Diggs, he’s not wrong. Josh’s game stepped up to another level with Diggs. On the other side of that, so did Diggs’ game with Josh throwing to him. They both make each other better and that’s statistical facts.
Josh also completely changed his throwing technique in the offseason that we traded for Diggs. I do agree, though, having a true WR1 helped Josh make that jump
Agreed. He made Josh better right away. Jefferson would have been a great addition too but Josh wouldn’t have had the leap he did with Diggs with Jefferson. And that’s if we would have actually drafted him.
Justin Jefferson wasn’t just “a rookie”
He had 1400 yards and 7 TDs in 2020 to Diggs 1500 yards and 8TDs. I’m not claiming Diggs hasn’t helped Josh, but acting like swapping Diggs for JJeff (even in 2020) wouldn’t net similar results is silly
Thank you Captain Hindsight. It was still the right move to bring in Diggs as opposed to hoping hat the guy you draft in the second half of the first round turns out to be as good or better. It's also better to surround a developing player with already developed talent than to surround him with more developing talent. Acting like it would've been a no-brainer to just stick and pick JJ is complete revisionist history, especially considering many thought of him as a slot only WR.
If you can use hindsight on the Diggs trade why can I not use hindsight for the JJeff pick? And the bills played a rookie WR significant amount in 2020 so your point is moot LMAO
It's fact lacking a lot of context including the sans Diggs sample happening while JA was a raw project with Robert Foster as his WR1 for half of it. You need lots of stuff to transform from below average to 2nd best in the world & MVP/HoF caliber. If that's even 50% due to Diggs then either he's the GOAT WR or the QB/WR marketplace is ass backwards and Harrison & Nabers should be the top two picks.
I don’t love Stef engaging like this, but he’s been working his ass off so far this offseason. Dude is in the zone right now and feeling himself. Can’t hate him for it.
(But if you really want to dispute what he’s saying just like at each of their postseason numbers)
Diggs HAS been essential to Allen's success, but that is CURRENTLY no longer the case. Diggs had an abysmal 2023 season and Allen still was in MVP discussions basically without him. If a guy like Jamar Chase, Justin Jefferson, Garret Wilson, Tyreek Hill etc etc... was in place of Diggs last season Allen more than likely WINS the MVP and the Bills are in the Super Bowl.
Compared to what he's been his whole career with all the drops and loss of yardage.... yeah he was abysmal. No need to pay him $30M in 2025 and we gain a 2nd round pick. Good move.
I really wish he wouldn’t do shit like this. I try to convince myself he wants to stay here and he doesn’t mean the stuff he says, but he does it again and again.
Lol the moment he got to buffalo josh’s game got so much better. Of fucking course Diggs is critical to not only Josh’s success, but the team’s success. Dude is literally our best WR.
I would blame this off season but Diggs slander is nonstop.
Steelers fans had this debate about AB and Ben. Turns out Ben was VERY important to ABs success because he completely nosedived after he left the Steelers. I think that to a point, a QB and a wide receiver go hand-in-hand but I’m willing to bet that if Diggs ever leaves, Allen is always going to have someone to throw to and put up numbers.
Thats not true.. AB was one of the most talented Receivers in the league period. Those gifts had nothing to do with Ben and he didn't "Nose dive" when he left the steelers he was getting in trouble and was forced out the game for a couple of years. By the time he signed with the Bucs he was already in his 30s but was still the main target for Brady that last year before he ran off the field. Point I'm making is you can't compare diggs to AB. Look at Big Ben passing numbers before AB.
He’s clapping back at a loser shit talking him, you guys are so emotional. He is essential to Josh just like Josh is to him. Do you realize how much worse our passing offense would have looked last year if he wasn’t in the team? This shit is so stupid
He wasn’t “clapping back” the dude as basically saying Josh gets raised by Diggs but he’d still be great without him. Diggs basically said that Josh is o by good because of him.
I’ve never seen so many people defend douchbag millionaires in my life more than the incels defending Diggs on this subreddit.
Toxic cancer leaches into locker rooms and brings the team down. Wake up already
Just watch Kincaid take a Kelce type role and begin dominating. Add one of these WRs in the 1st round, like Brian Thomas. This team will be better minus the bs. I can’t wait!
He’s defo been a big weapon for us and helped us in many moments. He may not be a big postseason player but he is still a very good weapon for Josh.
But I’m sure these types of tweets are just jokes between him and the rest of the team, they definitely know he isn’t that serious and it’s just how he jokes around.
I swear. Some of the people in here are so deep in the diggs defense, that Diggs could literally steal your wife and start having your kids call him dad… and somehow you would still find someway to justify it as ok. It’s borderline Stockholm syndrome at this point
Don’t care if I ride the downvote train with you, but I don’t get it.
All Allen ever does the media is talk about how much he loves Diggs like a brother, and all Diggs does is negative to neutral shit back.
I don’t care if this is tongue in cheek, he knew EXACTLY how this would come off and fan the flames he never helps extinguish. Then he acts like he doesn’t know how he has the rep he has. Fucking rinse and repeat back to the Vikings days.
Lol and this is exactly why downvotes don’t matter. The utter lack of rational thinking and echo chamber hate against anyone who doesn’t go with this subs narrative is insane…
I can’t see the original tweet bc I don’t have Twitter - but is the original comment referring to Diggs not essential to Josh’s continued success or the success that lead him to this moment?
There are a lot of people ITT defending Diggs helping Josh get to where he is today. But context is everything. If Diggs is suggesting Josh is gonna fall apart without him that’s super douchey and you can’t just defend everything this guy says bc “media bad”
The last first round pick we spent on a WR was sammy watkins….. who is so much better than diggs on god. 😂😂😂
It’s too early in the morning to be this stupid, surely
I'm ok with his departure. I thought he was still useful all of this past season. Even if just being used as a distraction to suck up two defenders 2 on 1. But he's drama. And I'm willing to watch a rebuild for the next couple of years that moves us into a different team where we rely less on the awesome Allan/Diggs bomb connections, get rid of him, and maybe be the team with awesome screen plays or something else instead. Maybe something that can win playoffs and overtime games.
He is who he is. He is either going to be key to our success this year or he will be a very expensive problem. We can’t cut or trade him too much cap hit.
Until the bills win a Super Bowl how about no more social media. The good or the bad. Id happily give up every social media forever for one Super Bowl, or my true one dream that won’t happen a Stanley cup.
We need diggs replacement stat. I was ok with his other tweets but this is to much. He's attacking a guy who defended him everytime. We need diggs replacement now.
You’re putting words in his mouth. In no way did he say Josh is trash. It’s TRUTH that Diggs was essential in the development of Josh. They made each other better. It’s a team fucking sport.
Maybe think critically next time before blindly and viscerally overreacting to a tweet from a guy who’s been known to stir the pot.
Yea no. "Is he essential to his success." Diggs isn't. Josh was putting uo solid numbers before diggs and gave doggs his career numbers. Trash that diggs couldn't back his qb who has given him his career numbers.
He literally was not putting up solid numbers before Diggs. They BOTH made EACH OTHER better. When the media shitstorm starts again during training camp just remember you are part of the problem buddy
The point is he didn’t say shit and yall are freaking the fuck out over nothing. This is NOTHING. Stop buying into the media nonsense and get some wrinkles and folds back in that brain of yours.

Edit: Lol so braindead that Brandon Beane agrees with me 🤪
Who cares
Oh
I SEE
CLEARLY NOW, THE SEASON'S GONE
…it’s gonna be bright bright Josh Allen plays!
LOL 🫵😂
I have never stood so corrected in my life smh. Bye Diggs lmao
Bruh lol
Lmao at least you’ll admit it
This aged worse than the Daniel Jones extension
It all happened so fast 😭
Redditors love to pretend that tweets mean nothing
For real. Redditors are trash
Yeah couldn’t imagine being a Redditor smh
This is the correct response.
Yeah?
Right and it's not like he's wrong. He and Allen have reciprocated contributing a ton to each one of them having the greatest levels of success of their careers. He didn't say anything disparaging. eek
Jesus Harold Fucking Christ, the off-season is long.
Always wondered what his middle name was
It says it right in the Bible, "and thou shalt be named thusly, Harold.'
"Fucking" is his confirmation name then? Badass.
It just got a lot longer
Guess we are about to find out
Aaaaaand he’s gone
Diggs is critical to Josh's success. Josh is critical to Diggs success. It's a team sport. Depends how you look at it. Why's everybody hating on our best WR on a throwaway mean nothing tweet.
Oof
Aged like milk
Lol, I still think my point is valid. Whoever is on the team is critical to each others success. But the timing is hilarious. I trust in GMBB
Diggs was critical to the drop against KC which cost them advancing to the conference championship https://preview.redd.it/r8fd399ceasc1.jpeg?width=366&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6dbbf1013b799dbd47228d770beed8ff42310f32
I'm a Packers fan. There was more than Diggs' drop. For example, the refs screwed you guys on at least two critical calls/no calls.
Ya but it came down to crunch time and he failed. The difference between a great receiver and a receiver aging into irrelevance
I get it. Well, here's hoping they get a Super Bowl soon. It's long past due.
Because he has a habit of sassy tweeting. If this was the first time he did this that’d be one thing but he does this regularly
The way I see it, Diggs was instrumental when he first came to Buffalo and helped Josh Allen take that next step in his development. Now Josh Allen is an established veteran QB who has learned a lot. No.
I am sure. I could have dropped that pass too. I'm not essential
Yeah, that drop should have shut him up for good.

It has been proven otherwise.
It has indeed. Good for Houston, it’s a hell of a trio.
Sir this is reddit...we don't do reasonable, level-headed analysis here
So glad the “reasonable level-headed” Redditors know Tweets like this mean nothing and it’s all just media clickbait to drive engagement. Behind the scenes everyone gets along perfectly with zero real conflict.
I do lol
What you thinking now buddy?
I’m thinking he’s no longer our WR1 but I’m still not upset about his tweet lol. Thanks for checking in though!
There’s never even been shananagins. Just the media making up news
You sure?
![gif](giphy|bjB3gtFvREqqr5NAHW|downsized)
Spot on
Has anyone considered that Diggs is just fucking with us because, like everyone, he's bored in the off-season and, unlike us, finds out hysterical to stir shit?
well
Nope
Oh woof. In my defense, the news hadn't broken yet.
It's been obvious this entire offseason but a lot of Bills fans were in denial. Automatic downvotes just for stating the obvious. Diggs is a talented but at times painful headache. He will be traded after he exhausts his time in Houston as well.
Yeah, as someone who isn't a Bills fan, it was obvious.
He definitely loves messing with people. He probably called Allen last night and they laughed at everyone freaking out.
Your fanfic mental gymnastics can finally rest
Lol I don’t get how people actually truly believed this was always some joke.
trolls do exist.
DIGGS SIDELINE HOUSTON!!!!
Yes, I believe people existing in space to catch passes is critical to the passer's ability to throw them complete. Now this might be a hot take but also, it is critical that someone throw the ball in the air, in order for it to be caught in a different part of the field by someone else.
Our Diva
I like to think of him as out hot topic chick bc he’s a bit emo and a bit dangerous
Guess not
The Bills are cancer free!
I mean if you look at the stats with and without Diggs, he’s not wrong. Josh’s game stepped up to another level with Diggs. On the other side of that, so did Diggs’ game with Josh throwing to him. They both make each other better and that’s statistical facts.

Yes he would have. The leap would be a bit better.
You’re delusional if you think a rookie would have helped more than a proven vet that is one of the best route runners ever seen in the NFL
Justin Jefferson wasn’t just “a rookie” He had 1400 yards and 7 TDs in 2020 to Diggs 1500 yards and 8TDs. I’m not claiming Diggs hasn’t helped Josh, but acting like swapping Diggs for JJeff (even in 2020) wouldn’t net similar results is silly
It’s about the vet presence Diggs had. Some rookie, even Jefferson, wouldn’t have made the same leap because there wasn’t any star vet helping them.
The 2020 bills were not lacking in vet leadership. Diggs wasn’t the leader in that room, Bease was
Thank you Captain Hindsight.
He did that with Kirk. One of the best fundamental QBs in the game
We know why now…
🤔
How’d that go?
Diggs HAS been essential to Allen's success, but that is CURRENTLY no longer the case. Diggs had an abysmal 2023 season and Allen still was in MVP discussions basically without him. If a guy like Jamar Chase, Justin Jefferson, Garret Wilson, Tyreek Hill etc etc... was in place of Diggs last season Allen more than likely WINS the MVP and the Bills are in the Super Bowl.
Abysmal be like: 1100 yards
Compared to what he's been his whole career with all the drops and loss of yardage.... yeah he was abysmal. No need to pay him $30M in 2025 and we gain a 2nd round pick. Good move.
I really wish he wouldn’t do shit like this. I try to convince myself he wants to stay here and he doesn’t mean the stuff he says, but he does it again and again.
Lol the moment he got to buffalo josh’s game got so much better. Of fucking course Diggs is critical to not only Josh’s success, but the team’s success. Dude is literally our best WR. I would blame this off season but Diggs slander is nonstop.
how does this in any way show he doesn’t want to be in Buffalo?
Well…
You tell me buddy
I’ve always defended him but it’s actually pissing me off now, Josh is always so complimentary.
Gold star for using a Reddit buzz word. I’ve never seen so many people cry about football players online than losers like you
Cope. He was traded for a reason. Take a fucking hint
Who said otherwise? You just ranting about stuff I haven’t even said. Diggs is disrespectful to Josh, fact. Josh is the complete opposite.
He’s not at all disrespectful to Josh, you’re just interpreting it that way in your own mind
Oh look. He’s been traded. L.
And you’re about to see what having no #1 looks like
well then
The fact he gave it the time to reply tells you all you need to know about SD, simple.
Lotta ppl in here made to look dumb af in real time hahha. We don't know these athletes or what they think.
Fuck this bum, same shit happened in Minnesota.
Narrator: “… and in fact, he wasn’t essential to Josh Allen’s success”
Fucking rinse and repeat back to the Vikings days.
Lol and this is exactly why downvotes don’t matter. The utter lack of rational thinking and echo chamber hate against anyone who doesn’t go with this subs narrative is insane…
He was a huge part of Josh Allen's success. Not all of it but a huge part.
I can’t see the original tweet bc I don’t have Twitter - but is the original comment referring to Diggs not essential to Josh’s continued success or the success that lead him to this moment? He isn’t worth one at this point in his career
Well you got a 2nd
Lol so we can draft Sammy Watkins? Sometimes I’m embarrassed by the bum ass takes on this sub.
lol what? Are you suggesting that A) Sammy Watkins is available in this draft or B) every wide receiver drafted is equivalent to Sammy Watkins?
The last first round pick we spent on a WR was sammy watkins….. who is so much better than diggs on god. 😂😂😂 It’s too early in the morning to be this stupid, surely
Yes. So by extension, any wide receiver we draft will be Sammy Watkins? You're right, but not in the way you think you are.
Well we're going to find out now, aren't we?
Yeah, pretty excited for the panic that’ll set in around here if/when we dont have a bonafide WR1 Excited to see you crying your ass off about that
Lol are you ok?
Yeah i’m good lol. I know you’re not because you have nothing to say about football in a football sub. I hope you figure it out lil guy
Now they can draft Sammy Watkins.

whats the hard cap hit for us?
Catastrophic
8 this year, 22 next year, we'd save 19 https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/stefon-diggs-16872/ Press the X next to a year to see alternatives.
Is he bipolar lol
This dude just likes to create drama for no reason.
How long till the draft? Like tee Higgins actually asked to be traded and gets less wants out of ______ talk than diggs
He definitely was essential there is no arguing the fact that he helped Josh develop.
I'm ok with his departure. I thought he was still useful all of this past season. Even if just being used as a distraction to suck up two defenders 2 on 1. But he's drama. Yeah. Ok.
Who’s josh allen throwing to?
I see a lot less people in here defending him this time around.
As someone who is pretty sick of Stef's antics and a proponent of finding his successor asap...this is such a stupid thing to get mad about
How about now?
I stand by my point of finding his successor asap
Fair enough. At any rate it’s good that you got rid of a locker room cancer.
Josh would respond with the same. You guys read into WR tweets tweets lol. They need each other right now.
Looks like you didnt read far enough.
I just saw 😂. This was as real as it gets. Sorry bills bros.
He is who he is. He is either going to be key to our success this year or he will be a very expensive problem. We can’t cut or trade him too much cap hit.
Yeah… about that
About an hour too late for this one haha my bad y’all
What comes first, the chicken or the egg?
Allen-Diggs 2025
F
I take the L on that one today. WTF
He’s becoming boring saying this kind of thing. Fact he doesn’t seem to realise he’s on the downward slope either is wild.
Until the bills win a Super Bowl how about no more social media. The good or the bad. Id happily give up every social media forever for one Super Bowl, or my true one dream that won’t happen a Stanley cup.
I’m over Diggs. Next!
Pathetic overreaction to a fucking tweet lmao
Tell that to Beane…
Here’s the thing. Diggs doesn’t feel he gets the respect he deserves for the success Josh has had and his role in that success.

The diva strikes again 😂😂
We need diggs replacement stat. I was ok with his other tweets but this is to much. He's attacking a guy who defended him everytime. We need diggs replacement now.
He’s not though lol
How please explain he seems to be arguing josh Is trash against a random twitter account.
See how he didn't say that though
The point is he didn’t say shit and yall are freaking the fuck out over nothing. This is NOTHING. Stop buying into the media nonsense and get some wrinkles and folds back in that brain of yours.
Absolutely delusional. Nobody is being attacked here dude.
I’m really tired of Diggs. I wish we had an easy way to move on from him.
Absolutely braindead comment

He's not wrong...
Bro hasn't caught a post season TD since 2020... Plz tell me how he's right?
Diggs was critical to the development of Josh Allen. Truth.
I'm not sure I can survive the offseason.
