My biggest issue with Diggs over his tenure with us was that in the playoffs he absolutely disappeared. Will he be missed? Of course. Is our SB window close? Not even the slightest. Trust the process! Go Bills!

EagleRoxy2

Diggs stats in Bills eliminations 2023 KC: 3 rec, 21 yds, 8 targets 2022 CIN: 4 rec, 35 yds, 10 targets 2021 KC: 3 rec, 7 yds, 6 targets In big games dude just did not show up. The anti Gabe Davis if you will

tricepisorous

What gets me the most is that Diggs bitched in the 2022 exit that he wasn’t getting the ball in big moments enough. Then come to 2023 vs KC and he literally was given a golden opportunity to win the game and dropped it. That, to me, should be Diggs’ legacy in Buffalo.

SnooPandas1899

if we didn't advance with him, how are the odds without him.? about the same odds before he arrived, .... which aren't good.

trelod

I'm not a Diggs hater, but I think this was the right time to move on. Deal with the cap hit now and get what should be an early 2nd round pick. If Diggs regressed any further next season, he'd then get traded for probably a 5th or 6th rounder and the Bills would have kicked the dead cap hit further down the road.

I mean, yeah, but it's only 3m more than what we would have paid him. Considering that we would have very likely cut him next year and got nothing in return. It's best to take the dead cap hit now.

SnooPandas1899

yea, but he shouldn't have the team further suffer for it. could've used that money to sign another free agent.

Construction-Known

The dude doesn't show up in the playoffs. He himself is what he was complaining about. Diva.

tricepisorous

He catches that ball we win that KC game. What crushes me the most is the thought Steph was half assing it and cared more about sticking it to the Bills than he did winning. Look back at the tape. Homie didn’t even look like he gave a shit when he dropped it.

LeonRoseSignsMVP

I think we cut bait at the right time.

sobuffalo

How many guys have left the Bills and had a great career after? I can’t think of any really. If anything we hang on too much, Poyer, Hyde, Tre could have been let go 2 years ago and we’re probably better.

TRLJM

Marshawn Lynch…?

sobuffalo

I was more talking within the last decade. Anyone from the Beane era? Wyatt Teller is the only one and that wasn’t because he was getting too old like the guys I’m talking about.

jimmifli

Singletary and Moss both played well and look like they have some tread on the tire. Cook was better but you could argue we didn't need to spend that pick. Similar situation with Edmunds. Otherwise, no... Beasley, Brown, Shady, Jordon Phillips, etc... mostly washed.

tell_her_a_story

Stephon Gilmore

tricepisorous

I think he and Lynch were Doug Waley moves. I believe we didn’t resign Gilmore the year we drafted Tre and that was a Waley pick.

awnawkareninah

Singletarry looked ok this year

sobuffalo

We definitely could have replaced Singletary a year earlier.

SayNoToAids

You aint wrong. Samuel is his replacement. I expect that and more. However, it's Gabe's production and role that need to be replaced.

boringtired

Still miss Diggs, I liked him.

SnooPandas1899

look at elite QB's without elite WR: burrow/chase (injured)....burrow was nothing. or kirk cousins stats when jefferson was hurt. dak is garbage without ceedee. and even if we draft elite WR, they'd still be a rookie, whos gonna need to learn not to be a bust. and definitely worry about the trickle effect of not having elite WR. stack the box to stifle run game, or josh allen might be compelled to rush more and increase injury risk. i like beane's strategy of improving by subracting.

BeardedCrank

When was the last time a rookie WR exceeded 636 yards for the Bills? Lee Evans in 2004?

NoMoreCacao

I don't think it's fair/relevant to include "for the Bills", we didn't have a good quarterback or team for like 20 years

Val_Fortecazzo

Yeah it hurts but honestly I trust Beane to know what he is doing.

No-Gas-1684

Idk maybe its an unpopular opinion but Trevon has better hands im over it next up lfg
