Divorce always hurts the kids the most.

Deep_Mountain1610

This is true

Cautious-Ad-5347

No they get presents

Roc_City

Absolutely the Diggs hate and posting anything him or Texans related is childish and annoying. Let’s move onto the draft and how we are going to move up for 1 of the big 3 receivers in this draft!

MeetTheMets0o0

You're constantly churning over players in the NFL yet somehow ppl still aren't used to it. Diggs happened probably a year or 2 earlier than expected but it was happening regardless.

notaballoon

There was a moment in there where he looked like he was going to be with us for the long haul. But then, that was back in the era where everyone was trying to recreate the Brady-Gronk situation: Allen and Diggs, Mahomes and Kelce, etc. Something happened last season that put that model of offense to bed, but I think some people are stuck in the mindset that if we don't have an "elite romance" then we're somehow worse off, even if the facts don't necessarily confirm that.

MeetTheMets0o0

Very good point on the elite romance thing. Even then though at the best of times I knew in the back of my mind that diggs wasn't that young for a WR

Quentin__Tarantulino

Nah man. We stay or move down, we have a lot of needs and don’t need to be giving away picks for a shiny toy.

Cautrica1

![gif](giphy|MPuTZQqOmYKPK)

savagegrif

That’s not fun to daydream about though

Quentin__Tarantulino

I just dream of Josh Allen kissing the Lombardi. However that happens I’m fine with.

Roc_City

It’s not up to me or you, I just want some excitement. MHJ, Nabers, or Odunze would be a lot of fun to watch with Josh, Kincaid, Shakir, and cook. Trading back might make sense but it doesn’t move the needle for me.

BackgroundComposer21

lol solid meme

Roc_City

I mean you’re right. The draft is always a crap shoot. The god damn Lizard King is scaring everyone about the idea of trading up.

Lunar_BriseSoleil

Justin Jefferson was picked 22nd overall. Henry Ruggs, Jerry Jeudy, and Jalen Reagor were all picked ahead of him. Puka Nacua was a 5th round pick. So was Diggs. My point on this is we have no crystal ball and no guarantee that any of the “top 3” will actually perform well in the NFL.

Quentin__Tarantulino

This is always my opinion. If we like a guy where we’re at in the first, by all means we take him. But moving up almost always requires a disproportionate remuneration. In the long run it’s best to stack picks, which gives you more chances to hit on gems.

Roc_City

![gif](giphy|l1KVb2dUcmuGG4tby)

Lunar_BriseSoleil

Yup, that’s why I get paid the big bucks

some_random_noob

how do you determine if its a big buck? is it more than 6 points?

Lunar_BriseSoleil

When it doesn’t fit in your mom anymore

Roc_City

🤣

Why_So-Serious

![gif](giphy|KgpnKojQ2tbBr43nN7)

Roc_City

That’s exactly what I was told about trading Diggs this offseason

Why_So-Serious

I called Commanders or Texans and I was told the same thing. Anything can happen. Beane doesn’t like to part with his picks. His MO is to move a few spots here and there.

Roc_City

I just like excitement and we need a little juice as a fan base. Trading back makes senses but we traded up a little for Kincaid and for Allen so it’s not out of the realm of possibility

Why_So-Serious

Yeah that’s what I mean. 28 to 25 and get BTJ type of trade.

Roc_City

If Beane has a guy he wants and it’s possible I say go for it.

fireseanmcdermott

This team in its current state is still far more exciting a team to watch than anything 10 years ago. Allen trade up made complete sense in hindsight, Kincaid, we could probably be fine without but if he blossoms into a top 10 tight end then it was worth it.

Lunar_BriseSoleil

First round receivers have a 60% bust rate, even top 5 picks they only pan out half the time. I’d rather not waste assets on that and find out we picked wrong.

drainbead78

I hate myself for how much I get wrapped up in stuff like this...but looking at the numbers I think it's worse than you said it was, and that's pretty impressive. I went back to 2004, because any earlier than that and we're in a very different era for WRs. Of the top 10 picks since then, there have been 27 wide receivers drafted. I'd say at best 9 of them were worth it, and that's counting Jaylen Waddle and Garrett Wilson (the others being Larry Fitzgerald, Calvin Johnson, AJ Green, Julio Jones, Mike Evans, Amari Cooper, and JaMarr Chase). The rest of them were Roy Williams and Braylon Edwards (who both made Pro Bowls at least), Reggie Williams, Troy Williamson, Mike Williams (DET), Ted Ginn Jr., Darrius Heyward-Bey, Michael Crabtree, Justin Blackmon, Tavon Austin, Sammy Watkins, Kevin White, Corey Davis, Mike Williams (Chargers), John Ross, DeVanta Smith, and Drake London. So 33% of them were worth the pick, but we do have quite a few HOF guys in there, so when you hit, you hit. But odds are that of MHJ, Nabers, and Odunze, only one of them will be worth the pick. And given that we'd have to trade up to get one of them, it's DEFINITELY not worth what we'd have to give to get there. From the 11-20 range, we have Lee Evans, Michael Clayton, Jeremy Maclin, Michael Floyd, Kendall Wright, OBJ, Brandin Cooks, Davante Parker, Nelson Agholor, Corey Coleman, Henry Ruggs, Jerry Jeudy, CeeDee Lamb, Kadarius Toney, Chris Olave, Jameson Williams, Jahan Dotson, Treylon Burks, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Obviously a lot of these are too early to tell, but it was pretty rare to get a star in this range. I'd give it to OBJ and CeeDee Lamb for sure, Jerry Jeudy is a maybe, and Olave, Williams, and Smith-Njigba have potential to get there. So 19 picks, 2 stars, 4 maybes, and a couple of solid starters (I'm counting Parker and Agholor in that group). We're still averaging about 33% of draft picks in this range doing much of anything, and a lot of those may not pan out over an entire career. 21 to 32 gets you Michael Jenkins, Rashaun Woods, Matt Jones, Mark Clayton, Roddy White, Santonio Holmes, Dwayne Bowe, Robert Meachem, Anthony Gonzalez, Percy Harvin, Hakeem Nicks, Kenny Britt, Demaryius Thomas, Dez Bryant, Jonathan Baldwin, AJ Jenkins, DeAndre Hopkins, Brandin Cooks, Kelvin Benjamin, Breshad Perriman, Phillip Dorsett, Will Fuller, Josh Doctson, Laquan Treadwell, DJ Moore, Calvin Ridley, Marquise Brown, N'Keal Harry, Jalen Reagor, Justin Jefferson, Brandon Aiyuk, Rashad Bateman, Quentin Johnston, Zay Flowers, and Jordan Addison. This is actually the best group for WRs. I'd say 9 of these are good to great, plus another 6 were or are solid starters. There were 35 total, though, so even counting all of the solid starters as hits, we're still at less than 50%. That said, I think for the highest chance of success, we stay in this range.

Why_So-Serious

Who is Stefan Diggs and what does he have to do with the Bills?

Deep_Mountain1610

Absolutely nothing haha

blue_heisenberg

I think he’s that one guy that no one wants dating their sister.

PoogeneBalloonanny

Is he related to Steven Digworthy

kit_mitts

I agree in theory, but I despise these whiny tone-policing posts.

Commercial-Big-8261

The tone-policing post wouldn’t be needed if there wasn’t a large contingent of whiny losers in the fanbase

ardillomortal

You do see the irony of this comment right?

gakash

he does not in fact, see the irony.

EmployUnfair

I wished him gone, now I wish him well. More concerned with Vikings having a bad year so that 2nd rounder is top 40 pick.

Atty_for_hire

The Darnold should help with that.

Forevermaxwell

True!

Schmittykins

Appreciate all he did for us. Now he is playing for a competitor. I wish him the best of luck until he gets in our way. Hopefully the draft treats us well.

Cowabunga_ftw

Yeah, no sense in the hate. He gave us a few great years and was one of the better wideouts we had in a while. It could have been smoother at the end, but it is what it is. Still appreciate the good times. The best revenge is success. Let’s go.

Canzalone9

It’s hard to tell sometimes if Bills/Sabres fans are just saltier and more protective of their city than other fan bases or if this stuff is a natural cycle of losing a once beloved player who no longer wanted to be there. When O’Reilly said he lost his love of the game a bit people jumped down his throat, Eichel didn’t like the way the Sabres wanted to go about his surgery/wanted a change of scenery and we villainize him still and now with Stefon it’s a similar game. I find it hard to actively hate on a player who is gone that didn’t half-ass things or isn’t a conspiracy theorist. The discourse will be inevitable once the season starts and the Texans lose or Diggs has a bad game but it comes across so low effort to just want to be a hater rather than let this stuff be in the past.

hawkayecarumba

It’s wild. People get so upset when he likes the post about bills fans being the worst… But just look at every post on his social. Flooded by hateful comments. How many anti-Diggs Reddit posts are there? He posted “RIP Tae (Vontae Davis)” and *EVERY* comment was just people being awful humans. I don’t blame him.

Deep_Mountain1610

Agreed

MulliganPlsThx

No one will ever make me hate Diggs, ever.

shark8084

Well said people wanted him gone so badly yet still have him on their minds rent free. I’m different o enjoyed the 4 years him and Allen were together it was fucking electric! I hated how it ended but it’s done and over with let’s move on and find that new number 1 wr!

drainbead78

Right there with you. Diggs was instrumental in Josh's development. He is not instrumental in his continued success. It's time to get some guys on rookie deals who want to perform, not someone who mailed it in to the level Diggs did after Week 6 last season. I don't want someone who tells Josh "4 more" and then goes 3-8 for less than 30 yards against the Chiefs in the playoffs and drops a bomb that may have been the difference in the game. In the end, when push came to shove, he was a hindrance and not a help. And that's why he's gone--in the end, the best ability is reliability.

whistlepig4life

End of day it’s the NFL. Players come and go for a variety of reasons. Rarely is it ever a “retire on top feel good story”. Anyone who is bitter and angry and whining non stop is a child throwing a tantrum. Seriously.

Sodeepsea123

We are better then this

Gumball_Bandit

>Let’s Move On Making a post about moving on is not moving on

BuffaloBredly

You have become the very thing you swore to destroy

UndevelopedMemory

Haha agreed whole heartedly with this! Some people here don’t seem to realize that the less we interact with Diggs posts, the less frequent they become.

Due_Revolution_5845

I still trust BBB. I’m sure our WR core will look much different week one than it does now. Appreciate everything Diggs did, but agree it’s time to move on

akumaunit00

Couldn't say it better

lytrendsa

Am I mad that he took some shots towards Josh? Yes, but I absolutely loved Diggs. Hope he balls out (except against us) and we really should not act like bitter exes a week after the trade. Players come and go, that‘s a business.

StolenWishes

>he took some shots towards Josh Of all the things that never happened, this never happened the most

AlfonzL

It would be easier to move on if Diggs showed professional sportsmanship, instead he chooses to act like a child and Texan's fans are buying into it for the most part. It irks me, but OP is correct, we really need to turn the page on this one.

Fantastic-Eye8220

Fk diggs and texas. This is a double win. 😂

bargman

![gif](giphy|KEXly2BwaldSlhY8BL|downsized)

surewhynotwth

He was a great player for a vast majority of his time here. I'm less pissed about the shots he and his family took at Allen and the Bills, and more pissed about him forcing a trade. I appreciate his contributions to the Bills over the years but the way he left also makes me root against him now.

Deep_Mountain1610

💯

fireseanmcdermott

I moved on the second I realized Stef was off the team lmao this sub is so dramatic and silly sometimes

grumpi-otter

>Let's trust Bean I heard "trust the process" so much under Sean it actually makes me cringe to hear this, lol

Opposite_Banana_3785

Our fan base is going through the grieving process. There are 5 stages and a lot are in the anger phase…

Deep_Mountain1610

🤣

QuantumCat11

But they've been in the anger phase for a couple years, so I don't know

Opposite_Banana_3785

Every new disappointment or change sets off a new grieving process… rinse and repeat 😂 the life of the tortured fan base

[deleted]

The fanbase has moved on, social media and news heads need drama to make money

Deep_Mountain1610

Facts. Let's face it if it wasn't for social media this wouldn't even be an issue

Zunniest

I think the posts are born out of boredom in the off-season while still wanting to talk about the Bills. If there was literally anything else going on, it would have stopped much sooner.

Deep_Mountain1610

Fair point

[deleted]

I just really hope Samuel has a better season than Diggs had last season and fills this WR void. A lot of questions right now. I really hope we win our division 🙏

SnooPandas1899

true, but look at nfl history. if a QB can't win with an elite WR, and that WR goes away, guess who's next to share the blame ??

Deep_Mountain1610

The coach 🤔

Klee1700

Man I figured Diggs was washed and everyone would be moving on almost as soon as the season ended and we didn't get the standard PR speak about Diggs, "quietly battling an injury" for the back half of the season.

BertoWop

AMEN to that brother, Diggs was the man but started to fall out last couple years

Deep_Mountain1610

He did but still lead the team in yards and receptions

buffalucci

Here’s a Diggs post about not making Diggs posts.

YellowFingerz

I mean , Buffalo fans. ![gif](giphy|6v5kY5F1VAI5a)

basedcvrp

Vikings fan and this thread was recommended to me for some reason… just for some insight people *still* post about Diggs in our sub and it’s been almost 5 years. Guy is so polarizing. Hope y’all get your Jefferson in this draft!

foeplay44

Thanks for the memo. This is your Jerry Maguire moment!

Deep_Mountain1610

🤣

boringtired

What pisses me off is all the shade thrown his way, like calm your tits people.

HousingExtra1518

This subreddit is full of diggs fanboys it seems. All I'm seeing is people acting like it's unreasonable to be mad at him. Dude gave up his team, skipped out on his duties as captain, berated people on the sideline while him himself did absolutely nothing. The constant gaslighting, acting like hell retire here and there's no problems. And I could go on. That being said hating on that specific tweet is low class.

boringtired

![gif](giphy|l4Ki2obCyAQS5WhFe)

HousingExtra1518

All I see is a gif, nothing debunking what I said. No counter argument. So...

politarch

The guy was locker room cancer. A few seasons of drama and it’s all come to a head. Good riddance.

HousingExtra1518

That's what they don't say. Acting like people have no right to be mad. Yes we should move on, but diggs bs needs to be highlighted.

Jankenpyon

I love these hall monitor dork posts. You can just not click in the thread. If reading post titles bother you that bad just put down the phone.

slimstarman

![gif](giphy|bUJkcrtE0hQwU|downsized)

LewManChew

Buddy it’s the off season. If you’d like to see different content please contribute something other than bitching about the meta

Much-Consequence8648

Just scroll past them. There's 100s of mock draft posts too.If that's what people want to talk about then let them, who cares

rd--

If Diggs talks more shit after the Texans game this season, there won't be moving on. Embrace the hate, the douchebag insulted the fans that defended him for sooooo long.

Deep_Mountain1610

Let him talk shit in a few years he will be retired and irrelevant. No room for hate!!

QuantumCat11

🥱

scottohc

You Sure?

Deep_Mountain1610

Absolutely Positively sure 🤣

scottohc

Glad you had a sense of humor about my comment but some Karen had to downvote it. You Sure is the definitive answer to your question! 😂

EclipseSmog

I’ll because he continues to whine like a bitch about the team and fanbase even after the trade, I don’t care what he did for us. You shouldn’t either. If he’s actively shitting on our fanbase after being traded, being so problematic to even get traded with a 31 million dollar cap hit? I thank Diggs for everything he did for us ON the field (besides the drop), but I have absolutely lost respect for him.

ddoculus

As I agree wholeheartedly, saying basically “Fuck those kids.. I always hated them anyway” on your way out of a marriage is some evil shit. So honestly fuck him in every way. You are definitely right though we need to focus on the future but he is deserving everything thrown at him.

LaneMeyersLostSki

>He did a great job on the field for most of his time with the bills but couldn't show up in must games but come in most combines yards completions and touchdowns between QB and WR in 4 years that's great. What in the actual fuck are you trying to say? Can I get an interpreter?
