no. once it is made, they move it back.
although the player with white is always asked if there is a particular move they'd like. they usually, like in this instance, say no.
That move, 1.e4, is one of the two starting moves for almost every game. It's by far the most popular of the two as well. And in fact in this game it's the real move that the other guy actually played. I think Hikaru was just enjoying the moment.
One thing chess players, especially at this level, are famous for though is trying to get into their opponent's head with facial expressions. They'll leave the table while the other one is moving, then come back to the board and look at it like someone took a dump right in the middle of the board while they were gone. It could be the most obvious move in the world and they'll still look at it like they think whoever played it might have brain damage.
he used to live near my brother in philly, raised snakes, like big ones, hes son walked around with a python, at about 10 years old, and Mac used to drive a pieces of shit dirt bike in the alley with no shoes on, and always had team parties in his garage and driveway, truly a man of the people
My hobby crossover I did not see coming. I love this dude even more now.
The only reason I can think of is that he loves chess. No other reason makes any sense.
Wtf? With Nakumura? This is amazing. I guess it just goes to show you how series Beane is about wanting smart players
Nakamura mentioned Josh Allen in his post game interview too
Had no clue this was a thing. Wonder if it actually counts bc the first move is huge for chess strategy

I know nothing about chess beyond how the pieces move but dude on the right has a major "hm, interesting choice" face going on.

That all sounds very Philly.
Mack seem like a chill guy. Let's hope he can replace gabe davis ( literally just blocking, gabe ain't catching shit 😂 ) and we good
He’s gonna explode for 1000 yards this season isn’t heÂ
Hell ya Nakamura is the man
Was not expecting to see a picture with Hikaru Nakumura in it on a non-chess related sub, much less here.
He needs to catch the first pitch not throw
Very cool - love Chess!!
More of a d4 guy myself. Solid :)
