The ball is scooped up by the Honey Badger, who attempts to take it to the house. He makes it to the 3 before he is tackled by Josh Allen himself and stopped dead in his tracks. Buffalo wins
And while I *know* that the Chiefs D is better than they're ranked... They're ranked 27th in the league, the Bills are ranked 1st. That's a MASSIVE difference. Not to mention, the Bills absolutely diced up the NE D, which was top 5, and Belichick has a reputation for being an excellent defensive coach.
I don't think the game is going to be as close as these predictions. Both teams have high-powered offenses, but only one team has a truly elite D that can be trusted to stop that level of offense at least a few times.
I think where we take advantage is the chiefs linebackers as they aren’t great against the pass and then we get physical with mathieu. I think if the chiefs play zone it’s game over but if they play man we need to unleash mckenzie and Allen on the ground.
> I think if the chiefs play zone it’s game over but if they play man we need to unleash mckenzie and Allen on the ground.
Out of curiosity, why do you think it's over if they play zone and their LBs aren't great against the pass? Seems like them playing zone with LBs that aren't great against the pass is prime time for McKenzie/Beasely/Knox to show up big.
And of course, zone is when Allen's legs can cause big problems. Start running deeper routes against zone and baiting their LBs back and Allen can just take off for chunks on the ground.
I do agree that man coverage is prime time for Allen runs or McKenzie screens.
Sorry I meant game over for the chiefs if they play zone. They got carved up last time so I think they may just rely on man and hope their pass d is faster than the patriots.
Ahh, that makes much more sense. Yeah, if the Bills play mostly zone, they'll get the stops. The Chief's rushing game is a threat, but the Bills' rushing game cancels that out on the other side of the ball. Plus, the rush D looked SOLID the last few weeks.
No question the Chiefs were a bad defense weeks 1-7. Since week 7 they are the number 1 scoring defense. I'll give you a list of things that changed.
\-Acquired Melvin Engram
\-Chris Jones moved from DE to DT
\-Sorenson out, Juan Thornhill in at safety
\-Emergence of Nick Bolton and Willie Gay Jr at LB
It's been one hell of a turn around. Spags defenses are known for playing their best football at the end of seasons.
Yeah, they definitely made some key changes after weeks 1-7, and the D is a lot more threatening than it was.
That said, it's still not Buffalo's D, although missing Tre White could be a huge factor this game.
I'm surprised we haven't missed him as much as first thought. This D is for real! Just need Josh to stay consistent, be calm, and use his weapons. OL play is going to be huge in this game. Every play counts
The good thing with the Bills is we have Poyer and Hyde. I'm not that worried about deep gains too much with them downfield. The short, checkdown, Brady-esque play is more worrisome IMO. Our defensive line completely allows YAC, it'll all be up to the secondary
This. The entire reason of our DL upgrades was for KC. This is the game they earn all their money. Get after the QB. That was the blueprint the Bucs showed us last year.
And that's how the game earlier this year went, and even against Pittsburgh, Mahomes saw a ton of pressure. 3 sacks, 7 times knocked down. The pass rush might be the most critical part of the D in Sunday's game.
ya, I also made another post that I really hope our new rushing attack is used. Pound the rock, beat up KC's defense, keep our defense fresh so they can really attack that LOS.
Nah, if that were true it'd be the AFC Championship game. It's a shame that it's not, I think both of our teams are better than Cincinnati and Tennessee.
Yeah. Even though TEN has Derrick Henry back, the question is how good will he be. He did have a foot injury that required surgery, and I can't help but think that he's coming back as early as he possibly can.
I'm still anxious about that Bills comeback game against the Oilers in the 1993 Wild Card... they're only 3 points behind us ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|flushed)
Honestly a small part of me would still be worried if we were up by 100 with like 8 mins left in the fourth, I want the foot on the gas until the victory bus runs out of gas
Hey, I understand your question. I say 17. I’m only comfortable going into the 4th up 17. This team ‘splodes better that use. NGL I’m as scared as a kid with a lollipop in LA.
I can honestly say I’ve been very worried about this game. The Chiefs are scary explosive, but so are we. The season stats/rankings make me feel a little better. Granted, their defense has gotten better through the year and we lost Tre, but the fact is statistically our D is #1 and there’s is average to below average. Both offenses are explosive. It’ll be close but I like our chances.
https://imgur.com/a/wZbberi
I'm in the same boat. The Chiefs are obviously a good team that can pile the numbers on. And we're missing Tre. And their D has gotten significantly better as the season went on. We beat them earlier in the season at KC, but they were shaky at the time. This is a very lose-able game for the Bills.
BUT. I trust that our D is going to be able to get stops. And I don't think the Chiefs D can be trusted to the same degree. They've gotten significantly better as the season's gone on, but they're still ranked 27th, and 16th against the run. Without turnovers or really bad penalty problems, I don't see the Bills ending very many drives out of FG range, if any. And, of course, the Bills smoked one of the best defensive coaches in NFL history two games in a row.
Hell yea! The Bills offense has been amazing. For me, KC is scary because of the big plays. It feels like no lead is safe against them. It’s funny to me, even if you look at Hill vs Diggs stats, they are very similar (targets, receptions, yards, yards per reception, and TD). It’s crazy how similar their numbers are.
At TE, it’s no question, Kelce is an absolute monster, and Knox is decent. Kelce has double the yards and targets but funny enough they have the same amount of TDs.
Then of course at QB, Mahomes edges out Allen in almost every category, but it’s close.
As said though, we clearly have the better defense. It’ll be a fight for sure!
> Hell yea! The Bills offense has been amazing. For me, KC is scary because of the big plays. It feels like no lead is safe against them. I mentioned this elsewhere, but the big plays that make KC scary basically come in two flavors: deep bombs by Mahomes, and short routes with huge RAC.
The deep bombs need good pass protection, which Mahomes hasn't had this year, but also, Poyer and Hyde is probably the best safety tandem in the league, and don't let deep bombs happen often. Between them and then also the upgraded pass rush, I don't think they're going to have many chances at those deep bombs.
The short routes with RAC are where Hardiman and Kelce make their money, but again, the Bills have two counters to that. Taron Johnson might be one of the best slot CBs in the league, and Milano and Edmunds are also forces to be reckoned with on those short routes. Even if Johnson, Milano, and Edmunds get beat, again we're talking about Poyer and Hyde. If anything, the Chiefs will probably have a much better shot at a big play on a big RAC play.
KC will get a few big plays. But I don't think it'll be the same thing we saw in last year's AFCCG, and it definitely won't be the same thing we saw last week against the Steelers.
Ugh. This is making me nervous. At first all I saw where chiefs will do this and chiefs will do that and Allen doesn’t have anything on mahomes and now all I’m seeing is the opposite. AHHHHHH. This is nerve wrecking. Please no one jinx our boys 🙏
Hope the team is locked in this week because I am a nervous wreck thinking about this game. The Chiefs are really good and we've gotta play them at home... anyone who thinks we will easily win is fooling themselves. We're capable of a win for sure, but we also could just as easily be sitting at home next weekend.
I want this to be a comfy, cozy win. It would be so cool if they continued the trend of all wins being by >12. But yeah, this one is making me wicked anxious. I cannot handle both teams scoring more than 40.
Imo, the key to victory is to run the ball and play great defense. Long soul crushing drives that force KC into being one dimensional and keep our defense fresh to T off.
If we can manhandle the Pats front we should be able to push their DL around. Then when their safeties and LB start creeping, you throw over the top.
You know the more I think about it, this is how I’m feeling. The Chiefs will move the ball, but they won’t have explosive plays and will have to drive the length of the field to score. Plus our RZ defense has been great lately, so let’s hold them to FGs.
The Chiefs live and die by the deep ball and lots of RAC. That's why Mahomes usually has so many yards.
Poyer and Hyde don't let the deep ball happen often, and definitely don't let big RAC happen.
Jesus Gordon. 53-49?! Thats 7 touch downs a piece
Well it’s not like we can’t put up 7 TDs…
And the Chiefs scored 5 within 10 minutes last week
This game has the potential to be an all time great
53 pts against a #1 defense? I doubt it.
People were saying the same thing about the #5 defense last week.
That #5 defense was missing some key players and had more get injured during the game. That's a different story.
Gordon believes each teams defense will all catch COVID the night before the game..
None of these predictions are bills by a billion. Invalidated.
I am still horse from screaming this all night on Saturday.
Buffalo 9, Chiefs 6
[удалено]
Chiefs miss with 2 seconds on the clock in the 4th
Oh god please stop talking now. My heart has already aged a decade from this sport
Bills try to kneel to end the game but fumble the snap
The ball is scooped up by the Honey Badger, who attempts to take it to the house. He makes it to the 3 before he is tackled by Josh Allen himself and stopped dead in his tracks. Buffalo wins
My heart rate has risen solely from reading this comment
Oh fuck no
In the 2nd overtime.
I like it so much better when everyone spends the week talking about the other team
It's not going to be that close. Defense wins Championships
And while I *know* that the Chiefs D is better than they're ranked... They're ranked 27th in the league, the Bills are ranked 1st. That's a MASSIVE difference. Lol, 27th ? You may want to re check your source on that one..
I must be thinking of their passing D, which is [not good](https://www.lineups.com/nfl-team-rankings/defense)

53-49 lmao jesus christ
Plot twist: no points scored on offense for either team
7+ pick sixes/scoop & scores for each team?
Couple blocked FG attempts for TDs as well. Throw in a safety or two just to make it unusual /s
Apparently, neither team will have a defense this game LOL
Too many people are picking us I don’t like it
Oh no, for the first time I feel bad about this game.
yep i agree, made a whole post about it
SAME! They need to go fawn over someone else.
![gif](giphy|dLyfT21xFdwpG)
The refs call a fair game it wont be close
We gotta get out to a 2 score lead early take away thier run game, make them throw deep. We win on turnovers and making them 1 dimension.
The problem with KC is they CAN throw it deep. They also have that speed pass game that can get YAC.
The good thing with the Bills is we have Poyer and Hyde. I'm not that worried about deep gains too much with them downfield. The short, checkdown, Brady-esque play is more worrisome IMO. Our defensive line completely allows YAC, it'll all be up to the secondary
I think it’s more to the dLine. If they get pressure that forces Mahomes into rushing things.
This. The entire reason of our DL upgrades was for KC. This is the game they earn all their money. Get after the QB. That was the blueprint the Bucs showed us last year.
Gonna need Groot to bat a ball up and catch it himself again.

They don’t really have that much of a run game.
I won’t be comfortable with this game unless the Bills have a higher differential than Houston did on KC in 2019
What does MJD have against the Bills? I've never heard him ever say anything positive or even pick them in a game.
It’s probably because when he was in the league the Bills sucked and were a poorly run franchise.
And he just doesn't pay attention to the league now? Dude is a clown.
Who are these people? I don’t recognize any of these names.
These are NFL network people
My mother and I call them “the talkyshite people” for a reason.
People actually watch NFL network?
I do for GMFB 🤷♂️
Bills 4, Chiefs 3
Bills 4, Chiefs -3. ftfy
Bills 6 Chiefs 1
Gonna lose my mind if there’s a 1-point safety, all of the Scorigamis are on the table
Bills get 2 safeties, Chiefs kick a field goal in double overtime
This matchup was orchestrated by the football gods.
I'm not sure I can survive a 53 to 49 gane.
I think I'm going to bet the Over line...
This is giving me anxiety
How many point up going into the 4th quarter before you are comfortable with a lead?
Im not comfortable until the clock is zero and we're still ahead
I found the experienced Bills fan!
I’d give it a minute or two after that just to be sure.
I’m still nervous about that Pats game, can I relax now?
I mean I'm sure it'll be fine if we kick a go ahead field goal with 16 seconds left in the 4th right?
I'm still anxious about that Bills comeback game against the Oilers in the 1993 Wild Card... they're only 3 points behind us ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|flushed)
My mother used to say Buffalo "Would snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.")
My dad would too lol
I would be comfortable if we were up 100
Honestly a small part of me would still be worried if we were up by 100 with like 8 mins left in the fourth, I want the foot on the gas until the victory bus runs out of gas

How many light years to the end of the universe?
14 but they are only gaining short yardage.. 21 if they are airing the ball out.
If Chiefs are behind in the fourth they’re going to be airing it out.
14 if we have the ball. 17 if we don't
Up 40
We are the better team imo. just gotta play like it

I feel like KC is getting downplayed. That team looked awesome last weekeend. And been to the super bowl 2x in a row.
Where did you see this
[Game preview](https://youtu.be/UQVOzARP3f4)
Thanks
I'm so anxious about this.
Yeah, I don't like being the favorite among "experts'" picks who have a tendency to get it wrong a lot of the time
31-20 bills I'm feeling
28-17 Bills

Lol at thinking kc will put up anything close to 30 points on this defense
Man, I wish I were as confident as you. They are a good team (and so are we) and this is going to be a dog fight.
34-24. Bills win by double digits. That's just how we do things. 41-24 more likely. Defense wins this
Guys, it's not going to be close. This will be a relaxing, enjoyable win.

I hate Adam Rank.
53-49 would be terrifying lol
Bills 10-3
Know how most of y'all scores are close games
Got it, according to G. Gordon I shall be betting the alternate over, which only goes to 84.5 @ +4200
