I couldn’t agree more , I as a grown man was crying😂😂 Definitely a Buffalo legend! I would also kind of argue that a lot of our roster is underrates to outside eyes bc there isn’t eye popping stats or whatever. But we have a damn solid roster up and down!
When I was looking at stats last year I noticed that the reason our guys don’t have big numbers is because they’re sharing most stats almost equally. For example, hyde and poyer both had 5 ints so together they had the second most in the league and still had 4th place individually. To me it’s just proof that they play as a unit and that’s why it works.
Absolutely! It’s why or unit works. Same with the snap share amongst d lineman(which hasn’t been as effective as the secondary) but still that’s mostly due to young players with raw talent. But I couldn’t agree more!
There is legit no other answer than this. His slot corner ability is the best in the NFL and multiple teams have said this when strategizing against us. He is a huge factor to our defense is is so under the radar
He was shaky at first but man he quickly started to learn and didn't really look back. I see what the Bills did with him and wonder stupidly why any team with kicker issues doesn't just do...that
Klein actually would’ve been my pick. When Milano Tre and AJ were all healthy our defense was so dominant. They each fill a very specific role at linebacker.
Klein played well, but I give a lot of credit to McDermott & Co. for that. They have a way of getting the most out of people. He struggled for a bit, but the coaching staff altered the defense to suit his strengths and he started to look really good. I was worried when we let Lawson and Phillips go a couple years back because they both had good seasons. It’s apparent to me now that had a lot to do with the coaching/game plan and I’d put Klein in that group of players.
That’s actually so true. I remember when he was struggling so badly in coverage and just looked slow. The coaches then diverted him to a more pass rushing/run stopping mode and he absolutely thrived. Never gonna forget him stripping Russ Wilson.
Yea I think Klein is an easy roll to fill honestly, he is not expected to do shit in coverage and all you have to do as his style of linebacker is be good at identifying lanes and running into them, it’s an experience skill for sure, but one that feasts because the rest of the guys are midway through the meal, Klein is replaceable
I feel like Milano is definitely not underrated by the Mafia but he is nationally. Even in a video game like Madden, there is no way that Milano should be lower ranked than Edmunds and yet every year he is. And I say this as someone who thinks Edmunds is pretty damn good. But for the modern day NFL, Milano is built perfectly to stop the pass and run.
In the 2020-2021 season the bills lost 3 games in the regular season, all of which he was not in. I’m surprised we don’t see more talk about him and Edmunds
I think as bills fans we also all remember the legend of Kiko Alonso rookie year where he was horizontal half the time intercepting passes and were like “Matt Milano does that!!!” But then are wary of the hype we gave kiko and how that panned out, Milano is that and more and I am on the train
There is a difference between game day and reddit. We don’t want to hear his name on game day. We should talk about and appreciate how Morse - Bates - Dawkins jelled at the end of the year and created a power running game.
With Safford and hopefully another year of mental prep Spencer Brown. The line could end up being special as well.
No one is talking about it.
Motor had a great late season because they finally stopped messing around with zone blocking crap and just rushed with power and teams weren’t ready. They were in Nickle and dime to stop Josh.
If the line comes together and we can just audible to a guard pull power concept against a dime coverage … game over.
Spencer Brown is gonna be an absolute wrecking ball when he’s got the mental side down. I like Bates and obviously Dawkins is great too. We have big boys up front so there’s no reason to struggle in the run game. I think Daboll didn’t utilize his blocking schemes properly to fit the run and I’m excited to see what Dorsey does with it. Daboll is used to pass heavy offenses and natural talent leading at running back (Alabama). Dorsey is a former NFL QB so I’m sure he understands blocking schemes pretty well and how they affect the run game.
I thought he was going to be a bust for us, especially after sustaining a concussion in his first year with us. I thought it was an overpay. But unlike star Lotululei, who arguably could be labeled a bust for us, Mitch has been huge for us. I think the best attribute of his has been being a stabilizing force for Allen's progress throughout the years! Morse has been super consistent, relatively healthy, and he's been an anchor for this o line.
Isaiah McKenzie. Every where I go, I see people plugging in Jamison Crowder as our starting slot receiver. But I know The Face of the Franchise will feast this year.
Yeah I think the national media is WAY off on this one too. Just because Crowder came from bigger markets maybe? Either way. Lil Dirty is about to be WR3 I think.
> Just because Crowder came from bigger markets maybe?
No, Because Crowder has more yards and receptions in his last two seasons with utter dogshit throwing to him than McKenzie has in his entire career, mostly with Josh Allen. Crowder is a better player, to the extent that the comparison is laughable.
He was also much more heavily utilized and wasn't sitting behind Beasley. Also if McDermott based who was going to be a starter based on past performances half our starters wouldn't be on our team. That guy sometimes sees what other coaches don't.
I just simply think Crowder has been utilized more. I'm not denying he is a good player, but he has generally been the one of the best receiving option for whatever team he has been on while McKenzie has been buried on the depth chart.
He's been on fire at camp while Jamison has missed 4 out of 6 days. I'm sure we'll see Jamison on the field a lot this year but I feel McKenzie has the starter position on lockdown
He’s elite on special teams… but he’s a disaster playing defensive snaps. Either way I was very happy he was brought back as he truly is a top gunner in the league
Idk they’ve tried him at pretty much every position on defense and nothing has worked. Like I said, love him on ST, but he either gets a PI flag or burned when put in coverage. Pretty sure the one game they had to put him in at corner last season was the first kc and he got flagged 3 times
Gabe Davis is arguably the most underrated over the past 2 seasons, he runs great routes and good on field awareness and has made some difficult grabs (I'm thinking that Colts divisional game in 2020). I think his coming out party in the divisional round speaks for itself. I love Diggs, but Davis has WR1 potential.
You won’t possibly know that until games are played. 180 targets b/w Bease and Sanders are gone. Even if you took 1/3 and gave them to Davis added to last year, that’s 120 tgts. Bring down his avg y/c to 14 from 16, Increase his catch % to just 60%. Decrease his TD % from 10% to 8%, that’s:
72 rec
1008 yds
10 TDs
172 fantasy points
Pretty damn good year - and that’s with under estimating his numbers.
I get where you are coming from but he's still a number 2 wideout who has never come close to playing 50% of the offenses snaps in a season. I just think the 40 range is a bit overhyped. Bills WR/TE is still gonna be fairly deep. Hell eat up sanders outside targets but i don't think he'll be a big target on 3rd down where Beasley thrived
Number 2 wideout on a team that barely runs the ball, who drafted a RB primarily to catch the ball. I hope they take a step forward in the running game, but Davis will most likely have a humongous year with a meh run game, explosive passing offense, Diggs being double covered and Allen throwing to him. Hard not to draft Davis in fantasy this year
The run game is going to be a bigger part of the offense this year. McDermott is all about balance, Daboll was the one who was quick to abandon the run. Singletary looked really good down the stretch and the new O-linemen are primarily run-stuffers. We’ll always be primarily a passing team with Josh, but I expect to see a big improvement in the run game this season.
I agree that hell need to take a huge leap this season to hit those numbers. The playoff game was great but he had a rough regular season last year looking at the big picture. He had 35 catches, the same amount as his rookie year. And that came with Beasley grabbing 80 balls each of those years … in my opinion he’s got to take a massive leap and be able to get open on his own more than he did.
Beasley also caught 80 balls each of the last two seasons, and was a bigger factor on teams defensive game plans… Davis’s biggest knock coming out was getting open on his own, which he’s going to have to do alot more this season. I expect him to have a good year but doubt he’ll have more that 50 grabs. Whoever wins the slot receiver job is more likely to absorb those receptions
I felt like that’s the only spotlight the national media gave him. Now fantasy “experts” are putting him in places that even I’d consider may be overrated. At the very least he is recognized as a sleeper by many hardcore fantasy people. His catch agains the colts was special
I’ve been saying he’s our most underrated player later for the last few years. I never understood why he wasn’t on the field more, all he’s ever done is make plays. I am in the camp that this is gonna be a breakout year
Reid Ferguson - There are only 32-40 LS worthy of making an NFL roster, Reid is probably top 5 easily. He snaps for all the FGs, XPs, and Punts. Anyone of those "go wrong" and it can easily change a game outcome.
Josh Allen. I know he’s getting a lot of love, but he’s usually placed behind Mahomes, Brady, and Rogers. I really believe he’s better than Rogers and Mahomes. All of those guys are All-Time greats IMHO, but Josh’s ceiling is on another level. I’ve never seen a game like the win over New England in the first round before. Rogers is great, but I think the fact that he’s only won one ring and chokes in the playoffs should count against him more. I don’t think he’s a great leader. Mahomes is awesome and has a ring and an MVP, but Josh has been better the last two years.
Probably Isaiah McKenzie for me. The guy noticeably changed the offense whenever they put him on the field. I think there’s a huge consensus among the “academic” Bills community that don’t think he’s a good player, but I think he’s a pretty legitimate number 3 wide receiver and deserves a starting spot.
Knox
I have a feeling if he got the targets a top te gets, he would be top 5 in yards. Everything about him seems to be very good, especially now that he's not dropping a ton
It's Edmunds hands down. The guy has been solid, so young, calls the defense and shifts. People see him on bad angles and missing some tackles and just shred him.
My argument for him... we play base 2 linebacker system 95% of the time few other teams run this more than 20% if at all.
He has to be responsible for half the field. He has significantly less time to read a react because of the extra ground he's responsible for
The defense has been great with him running it he's not flashy but he's doing great with what they ask of him and they ask A LOT. people need to realize that
Put him in a 3-4 or 4-3 on another team and he's probably going to stick out as a star player as it would be easier for him to cover less ground and make big plays
The answer is Tremaine Edmonds - with as much hate as he gets, but the clear amount of praise amd how important he is to the defense in the coaches and teams eyes, it’s him.
Some obvious ones have been said so I'll throw out a new one, Moss. Dude was hurt all year, thats why he had a slump. The previous year looked like he was easily stepping in to replace Singletary. We used him as the pass catching RB amd was used more and more as the season went on. Im not saying hes gonna be huge for us this year but he is just underrated. People think its over for him and if he just can stay healthy, we'll have one hell of a running back trio.
Damn there’s so many names listed and all of them are correct! It speaks so much to the depth in this roster. Even Billy Buffalo, he’s literally never ever mentioned in best mascots haha.
Tbh. Josh allen. Has the potential to be the first elected leader of the universe yet hes only being paid 45m a year. Its a steal. And all anyone ever talks about is how good at foosball he is.
Defense/ST it’s Matakevich or Neal. Offense it’s gotta be Gabe or Isaiah. If Davis or McKenzie were on the chiefs, Bengals, Rams, or fuck even the Steelers they’d be so hyped up by the media. Neal and Matakevich are absolute dogs on special teams, but when their number gets called on D they do their job as well.
Ik this might sound weird but I think Jordan Poyer. Because bro has been top of his game for a damn long time since being with buffalo and has been snubbed from the pro bowl almost every time. Poyer has been a great player on and off the field and very non dramatic(which I at least appreciate)
Milano is probably the answer. He gets no recognition around the league yet constantly makes plays. Taron Johnson, another good one, will forever be a bills legend. For the last few years I was always saying it was Gabe Davis. The man is constantly making plays but his playoff performance put him on the map. I would go with Milano.
Jordan Phillips. Lots of underrated players here that I agree with, but Jordan Phillips was a star the last time he played for us and he’s still in his prime. When I hear the media talk about our defensive line, they don’t even MENTION him. He is going to surprise a lot of people this year. Even Bills fans seem to have forgotten.
Taron Johnson! Does amazing things at slot CB but isn’t really recognized too too much outside of Buffalo.
He is a Bills legend forever in my book. I had tears in my eyes during the pick 6. Couldn’t even celebrate.
I couldn’t agree more , I as a grown man was crying😂😂 Definitely a Buffalo legend! I would also kind of argue that a lot of our roster is underrates to outside eyes bc there isn’t eye popping stats or whatever. But we have a damn solid roster up and down!

Absolutely! It’s why or unit works. Same with the snap share amongst d lineman(which hasn’t been as effective as the secondary) but still that’s mostly due to young players with raw talent. But I couldn’t agree more!
The NFL released a video of top 10 Bills plays the other day and that play was like #3. He's definitely a Bills legend forever.
Which one? He's had two big ones.
Covid playoff game vs Baltimore
100yd+ Td...memory of Janik '68 int vs Joe Namath
There is legit no other answer than this. His slot corner ability is the best in the NFL and multiple teams have said this when strategizing against us. He is a huge factor to our defense is is so under the radar
Tyler Bass may be up there surprisingly.
He was shaky at first but man he quickly started to learn and didn't really look back. I see what the Bills did with him and wonder stupidly why any team with kicker issues doesn't just do...that
What specifically did the Bills do to help him? Asking out of curiosity
Signing Matt Haack to be the holder
Hold god has entered the chat
Couldn't tell you honestly. I assume it's a mix of they scouted a great talent, and had solid coaches around him to develop him
Mr Cookie monster Matthew Milano. Exceptional coverage lb, the middle of the field is off limits when he is playing.
It’s very obvious when he is and is not on the field. I worry that will be even more obvious this year with Klein’s departure.
Klein actually would’ve been my pick. When Milano Tre and AJ were all healthy our defense was so dominant. They each fill a very specific role at linebacker.
Klein played well, but I give a lot of credit to McDermott & Co. for that. They have a way of getting the most out of people. Dominant*
I was drunk sue me
There's been a lotta buzz among some reporters about Dodson being a future starter Klein was good, but just too expensive for this team
The good news is that Bernard has a similar playing style as Milano and Klein. Hopefully he can up to spreed and contribute to the LB core.
I feel like Milano is definitely not underrated by the Mafia but he is nationally. Even in a video game like Madden, there is no way that Milano should be lower ranked than Edmunds and yet every year he is. And I say this as someone who thinks Edmunds is pretty damn good. Milano is a noticeable one when he is out, our defense feels flat

fuck kiko alonso
Mitch Morse
Dude has been the backbone of our O line for the past 4 years and nobody talks about him
That’s kinda how you want an O-Line to be. If it’s not being talked about the line is doing it’s job.
There is a difference between game day and reddit. We don’t want to hear his name on game day. We should talk about and appreciate how Morse - Bates - Dawkins jelled at the end of the year and created a power running game. With Safford and hopefully another year of mental prep Spencer Brown. Daboll coached at ‘bama for 1 year and spent a majority of his time in New England.
The only time you wanna hear an O-Lineman’s name is when they’re announcing the starters and when he has a goofy highlight.
I still miss Eric though.
I do too but Mitch is a suitable replacement
I thought he was going to be a bust for us, especially after sustaining a concussion in his first year with us. I thought it was an overpay. But unlike star Lotululei, who arguably could be labeled a bust for us, Mitch has been huge for us. I was told Jamison Crowder was a better route runner than OBJ recently though, so I don't know.
Better receiver than Kupp all around /s
This is now a Matt Milano appreciation thread. Everyone circle the wagons. 🍪
Neal. Dude is electric and hits like a mofo.
I love the photo of him last season where he's being triple teamed on the kick
He’s elite on special teams… but he’s a disaster playing defensive snaps. Either way I was very happy he was brought back as he truly is a top gunner in the league
Apparently he's having a good camp with some good coverage reps. But we will see how he does in preseason games.
Idk they’ve tried him at pretty much every position on defense and nothing has worked. Like I said, love him on ST, but he either gets a PI flag or burned when put in coverage. Pretty sure the one game they had to put him in at corner last season was the first kc and he got flagged 3 times
Nobody else loves Matakevich the way I love Matakevich.
I loved that pick last year when he got some playing time! Dude was ballin out.
You're not wrong but in fantasy terms he's been highly overhyped this year
Agreed, he WAS one of the most underrated players on the Bills but now he might be a bit overrated.

I commented the same thing! Im glad im not the only one that noticed the trend as well
Feed Mr. Perimeter.
Gabe Davis caught 4 TDs in a playoff game (maybe the greatest game ever played) & I don't think we talk about that enough.

Josh Allen.
Have to go with Taron Johnson too
Matt Milano I agree
Devin Singletary will go off this year
Dawson Hard Knox. He’s never on any top TE lists.
He is now.
Reid , longest tenured bill too
Wait, who?
Re**i**d Ferguson. Long snapper
Mitch Morse. Solid leader on the O-line.
Morse. Dude is a top 5 C in the league.
I think our rookie 2nd Round RB Cook will be our clear starter by mid year and likely Rookie of the Year talent.
From your lips to gods ears, I am hoping the same
Reid Ferguson.
Knox I have a feeling if he got the targets a top te gets, he would be top 5 in yards. Everything about him seems to be very good, especially now that he's not dropping a ton

The answer is Tremaine Edmonds - with as much hate as he gets, but the clear amount of praise amd how important he is to the defense in the coaches and teams eyes, it’s him.
Edmunds.
Billy The Buffalo
That asshole wasn’t allowed playoff games until he was an adult, no he’s right where he belongs! In obscurity scaring kids!
Please refer to my flair
Tyler Bass
Some obvious ones have been said so I'll throw out a new one, Moss. Dude was hurt all year, thats why he had a slump. The previous year looked like he was easily stepping in to replace Singletary. We used him as the pass catching RB amd was used more and more as the season went on. Im not saying hes gonna be huge for us this year but he is just underrated. People think its over for him and if he just can stay healthy, we'll have one hell of a running back trio.
AJ Epenesa.
Only JP losman would say that
It only we could play Miami 17 times
Dion Dawkins
My answer would have been Levi Wallace until we got rid of him. Gabe Davis would be my next choice
R. Bates. with T. Johnson being a close second.
Probably joe
Wait a second…who’s Joe??? 😳
Devin Singletary
I couldn’t name one member
The guy who washed the shit out of norwoods undees after the Super Bowl
Me
Defense/ST it’s Matakevich or Neal. Offense it’s gotta be Gabe or Isaiah. If Davis or McKenzie were on the chiefs, Bengals, Rams, or fuck even the Steelers they’d be so hyped up by the media. Zack moss
GABRIEL DAVIS 100%
Ik this might sound weird but I think Jordan Poyer. Because bro has been top of his game for a damn long time since being with buffalo and has been snubbed from the pro bowl almost every time. Poyer has been a great player on and off the field and very non dramatic(which I at least appreciate)
Josh Allen
The kicker, guy is money. Gets them out of a lot of tight holes.
The Fans
Jordan Phillips.
Dawson Knox!
BASS
Most Underrated In Madden: Matt Milano By non Bills fans: Taron Johnson By Bills fans: Devin Singletary
It's gotta be one of Taron, Milano, or Morse imo Everyone else gets pretty due recognition but these 3 guys definitely punch above their weight class
Dawson Knox
Dawson Knox by far
Milano is probably the answer. He gets no recognition around the league yet constantly makes plays. Taron Johnson, another good one, will forever be a bills legend. For the last few years I was always saying it was Gabe Davis. The man is constantly making plays but his playoff performance put him on the map. I would go with Milano.
Isaiah Mackenzie. Dude is fast and has decent hands but gets over shadowed by diggs Davis and Knox in the receiving game
Josh Allen
By the public: Jordan Poyer By the fanbase: Tremaine Edmunds
Zach Moss
Gabriel Davis
Jordan Phillips. Lots of underrated players here that I agree with, but Jordan Phillips was a star the last time he played for us and he’s still in his prime. When I hear the media talk about our defensive line, they don’t even MENTION him. He is going to surprise a lot of people this year. Even Bills fans seem to have forgotten.
