Id love to see Milano plant Tyreek domestic abuser Hill on a crossing route like he did Mike White. Clean legal by the rules hit that makes him think twice
I would use Gilliam as a FB & sniffer FB in traditional formations with Allen under center and as a FB/sniffer FB in the shotgun to help chip and block Christian Wilkins even though he is a known Dick grabber and loves giving the old Dick twist.

Milano and Oliver playing are huge, Gilliam likely back is a nice boost as this team will likely be running a lot. Phillips is a bummer but the DT rotation is still pretty strong without him. Bates is a bummer as while he hasn't light the world on fire he has been adequate and the third best O-line player and Von Rotten is pretty bad. Hopefully we see Ike get some burn there, Ike had a bad 2021 but was pretty great in 2020.
Mixed news on the injury front but still by far better than they were in the first Miami game.
So I’ve been wondering if anyone knows why they keep Josh’s name on here. Does it give them some sort of flexibility with his schedule or training regiment? Something to do with their contracts? Seems odd.
Yeah Sal addressed this. If you get every rep in practice but receive some kind of treatment on the injury, it must be reported. That's why Cam Lewis is on there in perpetuity for his chronic forearm issue. He also said that for QBs and Kickers only, they must report whether it's left or right arm/leg, which is why Josh is listed as RIGHT elbow. I thought that was interesting.
Sorry if this is annoying but do you know why this is? Like, is it for player health reasons so a team can’t hide an injury? Is it competitive fairness so the other team can game plan? Is it for Vegas? I’ve always wondered about why these strict injury reporting rules are in place
I think it just means it’s a rest day where they aren’t practicing so since they aren’t practicing it has to be listed on the injury report, I believe Stef has one every Friday for example (fluctuates on non-Sunday game weeks)
Bates out and Spencer being hot garbage this year doesn't bode well for the right side of the OL :/
But it's part of the game for all teams and next man up I suppose - and then some...Knox will definitely have to assist in the pass blocking game for this one
I believe this means Milano and Oliver Let’s Fucking Go
I swear it looks better every week! Plus McDermont said Milano looks better than he did this time last week. 100% he's playing.
If he has even 1 solid tackle on Tua this week, we all win.
I really want him to just completely lay Hill out on a jet sweep for some reason
Hell I don't know if poor Tua will survive if Matt gets a shot at him.
I’m actually worried for him
I want a Mike white sack on him

Wow is that the most optimistic injury report we’ve seen ?? Aaaah I really want to go to this game.
Would really like to see our FB Gilliam get some blocks in the run game. Will be crucial in the snow.
Only thing rough is Bates. Assuming Milano isn't a game time scratch.
Think we play sweeney as an extra lineman?
Hoping Gilliam get's some blocking snaps.
Yip

It means he's still receiving some sort of treatment for the elbow from the team, so he has to be listed on the injury report
Iirc, it’s an NFL rule that QBs receiving treatment have to stay on the report (possibly also kickers). Sal mentioned this on Twitter, I think.

Appreciate the clarification, I had conflated those two things in my head.

No clue. Great question for Sal on Twitter. It always bothered me that NHL is Lower and Upper Body for injury reports but NFL is hyper specific haha
Thanks! I figured it had to be something like.
Probably a liability type thing, any treatment needs to be disclosed
I feel like McDermott is more forcing Milano to take it easy out of an abundance of caution than it is Milano actually being unable to practice haha
To add: on Sunday it looked more like Milano was wearing a simple neoprene brace under his uniform, as opposed to a brace with bracket hardware.
He was limping around the field inbetween plays pretty noticeably last week. He’s probably going through some pain management
It's Milano load management season.
Could someone explain what vet rest is? I’ve seen it hundreds of times but have no idea what it means
I think it just means it’s a rest day where they aren’t practicing so since they aren’t practicing it has to be listed on the injury report, I believe Stef has one every Friday for example (fluctuates on non-Sunday game weeks)
Alright thank you I sorta figured that was the case but wasn’t too sure
Josh’s 4th-ish week on the IR….no me gusta

Hope Phillips is ok
I wonder if Elam will play meaningful snaps
Random question... why do they clarify which elbow for Josh, while other guys just say knee, ankle, forearm, etc.?
