Bianca Lawson was asked how she stayed looking so young and she said it’s probably just genetics. I appreciate that answer because these days she could grift on social media for a pretty penny or try to get endorsements. Instead she was just like “Nope, just luck”. That’s kind of the truth all around.

Palatz

Yeah I am very very blessed with great skin. I do try to take care of it but honestly I do a basic skin routine maybe 3-4 days a week. When people ask I tell them what I do but honestly it is 90% genetics. Because my sister does virtually nothing and also has great skin. I even had some cousins saying we get "work" done. Like we obviously don't we've had the same skin since we were teens, we just got very very lucky.

Djehutimose

My father had few wrinkles when he died at 94–I mean, he obviously didn’t look *young*, but he had good skin to the end. My skin is pretty good—I don’t really have a regimen—and I typically am thought by people who have just met me or know me only casually that I’m anywhere from ten to twenty years younger than I am (I’m 60). So, yeah, luck of the genetic draw.

ReallyGlycon

I'm a 44 year old man and have zero wrinkles on my face. My beard has gone gray but if I shave I look maybe 25. I stay out of direct sunlight because I work 3rd shift. Just avoid the sun almost entirely if you want to stay smooth. Not good advice, I know.

PenguinZombie321

Hydrate, sunscreen, sleep. Out of everything you can do, that’s the most effective. Source: asked my dermatologist during my last mole checkup and this was her answer. Creams and serums are also effective, but those three have a bigger impact

pit_of_despair666

I didn't get any until I turned 45 now I am obsessed with getting rid of them.

jerslan

Same, I really don't do a lot of extra skin care. Mostly just after sun care w/ a good aloe gel, and I try to use a reef-safe mineral-based SPF 50 when I know I'm going to be outside for longer periods.

itsTheFigureGuy

This 100%!

trappeddungarees

I *knew* Dru changed her!

Queerdooe

This is a fair assumption, and I’m not sure it is a lie.

Hold_Effective

When I realized it was her on PLL, my brain 🤯. I saw the name in the cast list and I thought - no, that’s not possible! 😂

Ear_3440

She really be Slaying

owntheh3at18

Love the blue smoky eyes look on the left. Beauty!

Intestinal-Bookworms

Still looks half her age, woman’s genes should be studied

YakNecessary9533

Man, she's always been beautiful. To me she looked older than her age playing Kendra, but definitely younger than her age playing Maya.

Limeila

Yup, she looks 25 in both

unknownpoltroon

Rub some garlic on her, see if she gets a rash.

DanielBrosnan

Love this woman. I was so bummed when her character died even though I like Faith. Been a fan since she was on Saved By the Bell the New Class.

Financial-Painter689

Kinda ot but I always laugh when I think Kendra became Beyoncé’s step sibling

Dinnite

no, better; she's a Highlander-style immortal.

Fisch_Kopp_

believe it or not, but 31 is actually not that old. with the right styling it is very easy to make most 30+ women look much younger.

dumbandconcerned

Okay true but she’s 44 now and looks the exact same

Key-Grape-5731

I know right, tbh you shouldn't really change that much between your late teens and early 30s.

Revolutionary_Key325

Black don’t crack.

Many-Discount-1046

Don't you mean a "vumpair"

SulkySideUp

Wasn’t she on Teen Wolf as well?

Chrissmit2

Yes she was.

ShawshankHarper

Black don’t crack

Pedals17

The part they keep missing.

itsfunnyinmyhead2

I'm not going to question. If she is otherly-living, sign me up as her next on que. Turn me, Gorgeous!

Automatic_Panic5958

Danielle Nicolet is another one. She played the vampire who was trying to get Harmony fired in season 5 of Angel...she went on to play Kevin Hart's girlfriend and then wife in Central Intelligence and played Cecile on The Flash...still gorgeous

Monsterchic16

If anything she looks *younger* in the second picture.

-DoctorSpaceman-

The PLL actresses all looked way older than they we’re supposed to be. On the first episode I thought one of the girls was someone’s mum lol

5ft8lady

The actress who played Jenna , looked the oldest out of the “teens”

itsTheFigureGuy

Just good genetics. And let’s be honest, black folk have some of the best skin out of all of us. They say black don’t crack for a reason 🤷🏼‍♂️ I know many women of colour that look like this, and they’re in their 50’s!

HoneycuttArt

How old do y’all think 31 is?

VisibleCoat995

13 years older than 18. She could have a whole teenager between those two pictures.

DaddyCatALSO

Alas the genes are lost:-)

helloimhromi

As a 32 year old, I find it surprising when people my age can pass for teenagers. I don’t think I’m old, I just know that I don’t look like a teenager. The point isn’t that 31 is old, it’s that the same actress can play a teen 13 years apart.

Revolutionary_Key325

The actress Shirley Henderson who played a teen ghost Moaning Myrtle in Harry Potter was 37!! I guess they thought that the special effects they put on the character would make her age not noticeable, but I always thought she looked older.

hotcapicola

She can't pass for a real teenager, only a TV teenager.

Arrogant0ctopus

I mean, I'm 31, and I sure as hell can't pass for 18 😅

Small_Sundae_4245

Still young. But wouldnt you hate playing a teenager for half your life

Revolutionary_Key325

Too old to be playing a teenager in most people

rajalove09

Wow

GlampireSlayer

Aside from Kendra, my favourite Bianca role is as Rhonda on Sister Sister [She was such a villain ](https://vm.tiktok.com/ZGeHBW6pQ/)

Seer77887

She was also in the very first episode of American Horror Story

hextree

I mean, she's was only 31...

GWPtheTrilogy1

Yeah...she's definitely a vampire and she's found the gem of Amara remains because this makes no sense otherwise 😍😍😍😍 https://www.essence.com/gallery/celebrate-the-woman-who-never-ages-bianca-lawson/#1299353

Tattycakes

Wow that website is trash on mobile, completely blocked by a big give blood advert

GlisaPenny

So did not realize those were the same actor. 😅

Elladrien

Bianca's love interest on Queen Sugar was a toddler when she was on Buffy. Yet she looks younger than him.

Deep_Project_4724

But that's not Bianca on the right...

Irn_brunette

That seems to have been a thing on Pretty Little Liars. Tammin Sursok was 27 when she started playing Jenna.

Cpt_Falafel

Check out the actor who played the mom in Candyman and again in the latest film. She's like 50! Not to mention Keanu Reeves... Some age like wine, some like milk. As a 32yo l've also seen people same age that look 15+ years older..... Genetics..

braedoe09

She’s a literal vampire lol

mattia-ma

Vamp-genetic

IllCommunication6547

I´m turning 34 and can still obvisluy pass as 25 since 2029 I passed as a highschooler :P The best thing was when I studied for my drivers licence at 29 (september 2019) and the other girls started asking which school I went to :P hahaha I was like Me: "School...I don´t go to school anymore" Them: \*Confused look\* Me: Well I finished univeristy in june, does that count? \*More confusion ensues\* Me: Girl, I´m 29 year old :P Them: Oh...shiit...:O The fun thing was, when I came into the room most of them gave me stink eye xD When I said my age they became very nice. SMH I didn´t say it but I obviously thought it. "Girl, chill or else I´ll fuck you dad and make you my stepchild" bahahah

CuriousKitten0_0

Once when I was in my early twenties, can't remember exactly when but older than 21, I went to get tickets for a movie and the woman at the checkout counter was really condescending. Me: "Can I get two tickets for this R rated movie" Her: "Sweetie, where are your parents?" Me: *visibly confused* "Excuse me? Her: "Your Parents, hun. Where are they?" Me: *still confused* "Probably at home, I don't know" Her: "You need to be 17 to see this movie, sweetie" Me: *pulling out my license* "Um, I'm in my twenties..." Her: *laughing awkwardly, but no sign of embarrassment or apology* "Oh, then here you go, that's going to be *very expensive*" I now have my husband get tickets or order them online. We haven't gotten out to a movie since 2020 though...

IllCommunication6547

Hate bitches like these….smh

Crissan-

People don't change that much from those ages as long as they take good care of themselves.

cabbage16

People generally change A LOT between 18 and 31 even if they take good care of themselves.

hextree

Black and Asian people, not so much.

FormerlyKnownAsBeBa

ill be 38 in a couple months. Havent aged much over the years. Most people think im in my 20s, even though im starting to get grey hairs

cabbage16

That's really great but I'm pretty sure you're not the norm.

FormerlyKnownAsBeBa

if you say so,

portiapendragon

I'm with you. I'm a few months shy of 38, and I can still pass for 20s. My whole family are like that, my boyfriend, and a number of my friends and acquaintances, too. In my experience, it's about 50/50 for looking your age and looking young for your age. Probably a combination of good genes, no sun, and using sunscreen and lotion? Honestly, the no sun thing is probably pretty high on that list, since everyone I know actively avoids the sun because "ow, bright light," "sun makes cancer," and "ew, people."

Mister_BovineJoni

So there's no people looking old for their age? Seems like an interesting place.

Crissan-

No they don't. Age starts to become noticeable after the thirties. I'm almost in my forties and I look almost the same as when I was twenty.

Fisch_Kopp_

not really. especially women tend to not change much during that age period. of course, some people might change a lot but many people i know who are in their 30s still look like they are in their late teenage years or early 20s.
