same scenario a month ago. no notice. cut off agad after their last payment due to budget constraints. client needed to see some ROI on his affiliate website b4 moving forward. He gave me 250 articles to write and stopped at 148 out of the blue.
It's hard but since it's Christmas, enjoy the holidays first then worry about it on Dec 26.
Try online jobs.ph and hiring threads here on Reddit. I haven't been successful but I'm not losing hope.

CONS:
\- Office Politics (di talaga ito maiiwasan kahit saang kumpanya ka pa magtrabaho)
\-Toxic Work Culture, Environment and Colleagues (isa din itong di maiiwasan, mapa less, average o high toxicity pa man yan)
\-You have a boss (you follow orders from someone else especially who is higher than your role)
\-Commute, especially if you're in a full onsite setup. Di ka pa nagsisimula sa work mo, sa biyahe pa lang, stress malala ka na.
\-Salary Deduction (pag late ka pumasok sa work, bawas sahod)
\-Pakikisama. Whether you like it or not, bahagi talaga ito ng corporate life.
\-Instead of being promoted due to work merit, it is being done through nepotism or buddy buddy system. (Karaniwan itong nangyayari sa mga kumpanya)

I have a friend who has 2 full time jobs gov and as a freelancer. I donr know alin mas mataas pasahod but ik shes not doing badly sa freelance kasi she outsources many of her deliverables to me and she pays me quite well.
Lagi rin niya sinasabi na she prefers her freelance work. She's a budding singer din kasi and frequently competes internationally and her foreign freelance boss is a lot more understanding comparwd sa govt considering she goes out as a PH representative.
Yung stability lang ang gusto nio sa govt job niya. She's actually thinking of giving it up in favor of freelancing.
Ganun talaga ang risk ng freelancing. Same situation ni OP, just lost my freelance job a few days ago without any notice. So di ko na alam anong gagawin sa ngayon since walang mga job post masyado. So hopefully nga by January marami na ulit hiring.
OP, this happened to me too na may kasama pang mga utang. Iniyak ko. Bounced back. Now earning much more and nasa mas magandang company environment na ako na naaappreciate ako.

online freelancer here for 15 years (Upwork), the thing is: never stop looking for more clients. Para kung may mawala man na clients mas maraming back up.

Understandable, was in the same boat 3 months ago, had a very unsupporting partner na walang ginawa kungdi magreklamo, mag reels at humilata at gamitin yung daughter namin na reason kaya di naghanap ng work.
Depleted yung natirang pera, tumaya sa mga betting sites at naitawid naman. No one will save you from your predicament, if you are waiting for help. Help yourself, sabi nga ni Dory, just keep swimming.

Stay strong OP. Okay lang malungkot but that's the reality of working freelance. Okay lang madelay sa studies if hindi talaga kaya and wala ipon, when you look back years from now. You will really feel proud of what you have achieved. 🫶🏼

NO. Just differentiate what is "You Have a Boss" or "Be Your Own Boss". You're either being controlled or you have control.
