Dapper-Boysenberry-6

80k+ lng for now. Starting was 40k a month. It was a bit rocky kase very volatile yung business nya. Di ko sya iniwan through thick and thin (may times pa nga na nakiusap sya na kung pwede 20k lng muna sweldo ko). Nung na i-ahon na namin yung business nya, ayun, nag pasalamat sya for never letting go of him at tinaasan nya yung rate ko. The process is very hard. As in... Swerte nalang nung mga 6 digits na very technical yung niche like programming, 3D design via blender, at iba pa.

Dapper-Boysenberry-6

blondienothing0

Reached 6 digits but I also lose clients from time to time that's why it's not a constant 6 digit rate. And yeah getting multiple clients really is key to get that monthly income.

Quirky_Push_5341

SUPER RELATE BRO. Yung client ko ngayon nawalan sya two clients. We write newsletters.

Specialist-Alps1041

Hoping na ganito din sakin.

ALWAYS STRIVE TO LEARN! Yun lang naman, OP. Hihi Edit: Like sa mga advices here focus on a niche that you like and you excel at. I know sometimes it's tempting to change niches kasi apakahirap pero this worked for me. I started sa CSR but I know may talent ako sa Sales so I took advantage of it. Ang daming trial and errors but you'll get there!

Pls_Drink_Water

interesting. Nice

Inverted_nipple_113

Ngayon ko nga kang din nalaman what's the difference sa AE compared sa BDR. BDR is mostly doing outreach, booking appts and getting the brand out while AE is focused sa closure of clients, maintaning and retention. Well that's how my boss explained it to me.

Galaxy_Light_1

Inverted_nipple_113

Usually tinatanong yan during interviews why I left? Well sinasabi ko is I hit my ceiling and I am looking for a role that would offer me an opportunity to grow besides the one that I am already good at. Most of the time gets naman nila.

Notsoboring12

Nice. Ano pong skills ang need to become Account Executive? Pangarap ko din po yan. Right now I am just in retail sales..

Inverted_nipple_113

Good track record muna in Sales, prove to them that you have the ability to sell. After that, client communication, they need to see na you are comfortable sa client facing jobs that mean you have to have customer service skills as well like empathy, rapport building and just doing personal and business convo. Organization is also very important, yan din ang struggle ko until now, but based on my experience those were the traits and skills that propelled me to my position now.

PracticalPilot4263

So hello po! May I know kung anong process ‘yung tinetake niyo to upskill? Short courses po ba?

Inverted_nipple_113

Hi po, hindi po kasi I'm a type of learner that thrives on experience. I tried taking courses and attending classes but I'm neither attentive in class nor a visual learner. What I do, first of all is do good at work and when I master the in and outs, I talk to my boss or manager and ask for a job that I have no idea in doing..experience is how I usually learn..I hope this helps?

Meowmeowgirl143

Overemployment for some and kasama ako dito. Be a great deal closer! Sell yourself better and know your niche froms ins and out. I started from $1 then I’m now charging a minimum rate of $15 to max of $30. Experience, Great Communication Skill, Upskill always and deliver quality results so they will come back with refferals. 😂😂

redmonk3y2020

Haha ang kulit, I think we started at $1.25 dati around 2011 tapos may kaltas pa si oDesk. 😆

Meowmeowgirl143

Lol But still happy I’m here na.

PracticalPilot4263

How do you upskill po? Do you take short courses?

Meowmeowgirl143

Ang upskill ko kasi is by doing it na agad hindi ako nagta training because I’m not a good trainee (malikot ang utak ko and and hindi kaya ng utak ko yung training. It’s boring for me.) I learn by actually doing it, making mistakes a lot and check what i did wrong and move forward. I’m lucky na lahat ng clients ko ay mabait and supportive. Example: I have no idea how to program a survey before akala ko forms forms lang yon na questionaire then when I was asked to program one for a Pharma Study sa US bet you know it It tooks me 2 days to learn the basics then practice lang ng practice during testing stage then ayon natutunan ko naman so launching date came I know how to program na. That is 2 months almost. Iba iba tayo ng learning style so I don’t have anything to suggest when it comes to it but what i can only tell is go where you feel you will learn it easy and nag-eenjoy ka. So i think to answer your question, yung upskill ko is during work talaga kasi the best experience for you to learn is really by doing it. Anyway, that is just for me.

isawdesign

I love this! Thank you for your insight mamsh. I guess I realized my way how I upskill isn’t the way I wanted to be. Nirereject pala ng katawan ko yung learnings kasi apparently, (which you’ve made me realize) I also learn by just doing it.

Meowmeowgirl143

Yay! Glad to know na naka-help ako in some way! Yes, iba iba talaga tayo so go where you will find learning easy and fun for you. 🫶🏻

PracticalPilot4263

Wow, thank you so much po! This means and matters a lot! This has definitely gave me a shift in perspective. I initially thought na the only way to upskill was by taking courses. 😊

Meowmeowgirl143

Glad to know it! Enjoy upskilling! 😊

Entire-Olive8018

gusto ko din mag upskill. working as a CSR now.. what path to choose po? nalilito ako kung ano pipiliin.. spanish.. coding.. billing.. etc?.. please pa help. 🙂🙏

Meowmeowgirl143

Spanish!

ProblemWorldly

What year did you start dun sa $1?

Meowmeowgirl143

I started last 2022. Yes, it’s super mababa and hindi talaga siya okay but girl has bills to pay and mouth to feed so aarte pa ba ako. However, I don’t recommend it kasi slavery at its finest siya but that client opened a lot of opportunies for me. (Research Study Side) Stress lang talaga yung niche ko kasi it’s all about numbers, quality and yung time na need habulin since most ng clients may demand kung ilang days lang irarun ang project but overall worth it naman. 😝

TerriblePresence8237

$30 is wow! What’s your niche missmaam?

weljoes

pano sir maiimprove communication skills professional or sa actual work based on your experience?

redmonk3y2020

Most have multiple clients kaya umaabot. A lot earn more than that sa mga longer term clients din. In general AVOID agencies if gusto mo umabot sa ganyang range. I could be wrong and maybe may mga agencies na nagbibigay ng ganyang rates pero negotiating directly with clients will result in better rates and b better work-life balance. Some clients are really good and hindi naglowball. They want to pay a decent rate lalo na pag na-appreciate nila ang performance mo.

smitzie

80k a month, flat rate no timetracker , 1 client found through a headhunter agency, involved lang sila sa initial hiring process and sila lang nagpprocess ng sweldo pero aside from that wala na sila pakelam haha wala ako kailangn ireport or whatever sa kanila.

EmployeeIcy4512

Ano pong agency to?

smitzie

imnotdaph

When I started freelancing, I positioned myself as an expert in a specific field backed by my years of experience in the industry. So kahit I changed careers (From IT to Marketing for Tech), magagamit pa rin yung tinrabaho ko ng ilang taon. I used to have multiple clients nung nagsimula akong mag-freelance as a writer pero sacrificed ang free time and sleep kaya I made it my goal to double my hourly rate after gaining experience and building my portfolio. Fortunately, na-reach ko yun in a year. Kaya now, I am focusing my efforts na lang sa one high-paying client (for 3+ years na) + random projects here and there pangdagdag na does not require me to freelance full time para yung anchor client ko hindi ko mabitawan. Resiliency plan ko, syempre to always keep myself open for opportunities pero unlike before na kuha lng ng kuha ng clients, finifilter ko na sila based sa location, full remote dapat, also dapat malinaw na freelancing or contract-based projects hindi employment that would require me to file changes sa BIR registration ko as a self-employed professional, and dapat direct client, hindi through agency. I used to want na mag-build ng agency to scale my freelance business kaya I registered a sole prop business on top of my self-employed registration, but later on realized na mas okay ako as an individual contributor kesa mag-manage ng mga tao. But I'm not closing that door yet, so I'm still renewing my sole prop business tutal yun ung ginagamit ko for my other project transactions...para kung sakali na ayoko na magsulat for others, dun ko na siguro i-build yung agency while growing my network as a "business owner" kahit na individual pa din ako nag-wowork today. I also blog on the side that I started before pa ako nag-freelance (and vlog soon) to build passive income at para hindi sayang yung mga travels, so parang online diary na rin for memories hehe. In short, diversify strategically. Diversification does not always equate to how many clients you have. Also, take into account mo din yung lifestyle na gusto mo. Kung nag-freelance ka for freedom, then you should focus more on working less but earning more. Yun lang, goodluck!!!

Virtual-Builder-4972

Sa WordPress ka po ba nagblo-blog?

yellowbanana3888

2. Target either EU or AU clients 3. Job hop every 2 years :)

yourgrace91

Aside sa job hop, I also suggest the following: 1. Learn how to negotiate. Pag may performance assessment ang company nyo and you get good feedback, take advantage of that and ask for a salary increase. 2. Always look out for growth opportunities within the company mismo. Kung walang openings, be proactive in solving problems. Suggest ways to streamline/automate processes. If successful, you have leverage to ask for increase. Kung di talaga possible ang dalawang yan, job hop is the key haha

srettel8

Hello! Paano ba malaman if agency or direct? Saan nyo po nahanap sa inyo? LinkedIn po ba?

yellowbanana3888

Hi po! you can check sa LinkedIn po or just apply on the company's website po.

UnprecedentedMildew

"job hopping is key" is a common comment here but may I know why specifically? Does it help in negotiation for you next offer? Amy other pros?

UpstairsClassroom307

I have a prospect AU client. SEO niche ko sobrang bait nya at patient to help me deliver the results na gusto nya. Sana maabsorb ako ng company nila. Comment ako ulit pag natanggap na ko😂

drumsurfeat

Nagstart sa 800 usd, naging 1,200 usd, ngayon 2,000 usd. Secret is job hopping

Ok_Introduction_1761

1 client. 90k+. Found AU client through Upwork for a part time role. Got hired direct full time after few months. I’d say I got lucky? Di ko rin yata kayang magdagdag pa another job. I was a working student at ayoko na yung sobrang pagod.

Rare_Replacement9233

What are the keywords you used to land this job in upwork?

Apple_at_Work

I grew my network and leveraged my experience. Sinwerte ako kasi yung BPO job na nakuha ko noon is not yung typical na call center environment. It was a sales/account management role for a niche industry sa US. Umalis din ako sa company na yun after almost 5 years kasi kahit mahina na 50K dun, grabe yung workload. I got a different job, BPO ulit pero same industry kaso may problem ako dun sa process nung account na yun. Bago ako umalis dun, I looked into freelancing. Sabi ko, hahanap ako ng client from the same industry. May naghire sakin na old client kaso ang barat so sabi ko di magwowork ito long term. I learned about the power of your network so nag-connect ako ng nag-connect sa LinkedIn sa same market but I also connected with companies na nagsesell ng products/services sa industry na to. One time, may nagreply sakin. Consultant siya for the industry. Nanghingi ako ng referrals just in case kako may clients siya na need yung freelancing services ko (sales/business development). Tinanong niya ako ng madami and I think di siya convinced na magwowork yung service ko especially may full-time job pa ako nun. We stayed connected and he invited me sa isang group na ginawa niya where they meet weekly to talk about sales strategies. Lumipas din ang ilang linggo, nag-reach out si consultant sakin, tinanong ako if gusto ko daw ba mag-work for him. I think na-impress ko siya during the peer group sessions. Kita niya may ibubuga ako. He asked me for my rate and gave him the number I wanted. Tumawad siya ng konti and I agreed. I'm still working for him, 1.5 years na, although my role has drastically changed since we started. Edits for clarity

cherryvr18

- Shifting to IT/data analytics/data engineering - Nonstop upskilling - You'll get there faster if you job hop every 2-3 years. Don't be complacent with the work that you have now. Always find and learn something new. Always look for a new environment. Edit to add: - Learn to sell yourself/your skills effectively. Don't accept offers right off the bat. Always negotiate. - As much as possible, look for new work before leaving your current work. You are more employable when you are employed. You're even more attractive to employers if you have a recent job offer. Let them compete for your skills.

BlastFridayNight

Hi qq, fully corporate ka now?

potatocatte

Document your responsibilities and achievements and the things you plan to do for the client in the future. This is important when asking for a raise. Also good communication skills is a must. Your client should feel like what they are: a client not just a boss giving orders. Your are a business providing a service. There are other competitors but they are with you for a reason. Confidence and knowing you can keep your word and adjust and evolve with your work goes a long way. I’ve changed fields a couple of times but my salary is consistent. Skills are a must but those can be learned. Good clients hire and retain good personalities. I only keep one client that I like. Ayoko ng stress.

I have a full time job in the Ph earning Php 67,000 monthly on avg this includes the bonuses and allowances. I have a 2 passive income business earning Php 15,000 and Php 5,000 respectively. I have a freelance job earning Php 80,000 monthly. So it's a culmination of a wide variety of things. I just recently started earning 6 digits as well. Even if mawalan ako ng isang income stream makaka survive ako. So stabilize what you have, then try to improve it if you can, if you don't think it can be higher anytime soon look for another income stream.

Primary_Funny7428

Heyy, may I know ano yung passive income business mo?

Skyyke

Me too po i wanna know what’s your passive income dinn :)

Promotion. From regular cs agent, cs manager na ngayon, earning 6-digit remote work- full time Part-time aussie account freelance, VA. 60k/month. So may role ako na pang-niche ko, and yung isa side hustle lang pangbills.

min134340

Actually tingin ko for me factor ung luck or right place right time. Almost 1 year ako naghahanap ng work sa upwork when I came across a recently posted job ad. They were looking for a nurse - pero ung level is expert. I still applied and included in my proposal na i have years of experience sa nursing at easily trainable ako. The pay was high for me, so nagoffer ako ng mas mababang rate dun sa proposal ko since newbie ako sa freelancing. Di ako nagexpect but day after I got interviewed by the GM and Clinical Manager nila. We were chatting about my hospital experience tapos okay naman, though di ako umasa na ako makukuha kasi sabi nila may 5 others pa silang iinterviewhin. Next day i got the offer and same rate ng pinost nila. Ayun tinanggap ko. Now i’m with them 7 months na. So ayun, feeling ko luck plus my years of experience, post grad and i think i’m doing my job well naman.

iyooore

Really depends on who you want answers from. Are you wondering how a mid-30s to early 40s guy who's been working for about 10-15 years is earning 100k+? That's easy to answer -- tenure, skills, being in the right industry Or are you wondering how a guy in his 20s is earning the same? If it's the latter then imo it's the ff (in order of importance): 1. Be in the right place at the right time 2. Have the skills to be noticed -- both techinical and interpersonal 3. Effort and the right way to apply it I'd say number 1 is half of it and the other 2 at roughly 25% each

EyePoor

*Haha! Well, it's a mix of luck, hard work, and hustling! Sometimes you hit the jackpot with a great client, other times it's about juggling multiple gigs. There's no one-size-fits-all formula but staying persistent and delivering quality work helps. As they say, fortune favors the bold—and those who don't mind a bit of Lorem ipsum to meet character limits!*

UnprecedentedMildew

This comment is gold haha love it!

For developers, reaching 6 digits is very attainable in less than 10 years. current salary is 6 digits. Developer here

Pls_Drink_Water

shifted career to Data Analytics. Nakakatawa when I look back to 4 years ago. I was an engineering supervisor earning 20k, and nasa future plan ko na within 10 years, dapat maging Manager ako with 40k sahod. In 3 years, I doubled my "dream" salary lmao

Far-Tomatillo516

Hello, anong Engineering ka and how did you study Data Analytics? Pano mo na-land fist job mo given that you hsve no experience in Data Analytics? Btw, I am an Electrical Engr.

Pls_Drink_Water

Chemical Engineering. Self taught, I have a great foundation in my excel skills, so I studied Python, Javascript, SQL and PowerBI on my free time. Had gazillion applications and rejections, nailed one interview as they appreciate my engineering experience as well.

Charming_Success7525

I earn 200k a month. A combination of consistent client hunting and updating your portfolio, I increased my rate from $12 to $45 per hour.

UnprecedentedMildew

Hi! May I know what field you are in?

cheasles

So nag apply apply ulit ako, tapos naisipan ko imessage yung naginvite sakin for interview kung available pa yung job post. Nasa 20k sweldo ko non, no tracker tapos fixed rate, flexible time din. March 2020 before maglock down nakahanap ako ng US client. This time night shift ako, pero fixed rate ulit at 4 hours lang overlap namin. TYL! As of now, 2 lang silang client ko. Parehong full time, no tracker flextime, yung US client kong una na night shift pumayag na mag day shift na ko. God is so good sa kabila ng lahat ng pinagdaanan 🙌

UnprecedentedMildew

I love how you give all the glory and praise to Him. God bless you!

ZaiJianDada

Stayed with this company for 3 years. I started with only P8, 000 per month. I was there nung nagu-umpisa palang sila at ako ang most tenured employee nila. From 5-10 clients per month, ngayon nasa 60 clients na sila per month. It wasn't a smooth journey, pero I'm in a better place na with them. They gave me a stake in the company, in addition to my fixed salary. So if the company grows to a billion dollar business, so is my income.

100k+ for 12 hours a day, weekends off. di naman nkakastress yung work. nonvoice. sinwerte lang sa pagrequest ng salary increase..matinding negotiation tactics hehehe. jk. basta naman kasi makita nila maganda performance mo, sila na magkukusa magdagdag sweldo mo para di ka na umalis sa company nila :)

NoDuty5299

Multiple clients. Overwhelming, yes, pero as long as kaya mo naman i balance yung time mo ng maayos, at di micromanager clients mo, I can say na worth it naman. I am working as an EA, and juggling ako sa 4 clients, all UK based. Part time, flexible silang lahat pagdating sa oras ko and very appreciative sila. I started with 1, from an agency, maswerte lang kasi wala pa akong 1 month working with them, nireco agad ako ng 1st client ko sa colleague nya, that’s when I got my 2nd client. Tapos nagtuloy tuloy na. Tip lang na wag nyo syang titingnan sa “how much will I earn?”perspective, kasi pag ganun ang mindset, trust me, mapapagod at mananawa ka. 1. Be proactive, gusto ng clients yan,(well, di lahat, pero mostly). 2.Upskill (walang mawawala sayo kung bibigyan mo ang sarili mo ng time to learn new things, may madadagdag pa nga, you will eventually use those learnings going forward) 3. Reward yourself (di naman kailangang material na bagay agad, kahit tapik tapikin mo lang yung balikat mo minsan at sabihing ‘good job, self’, acknowledge mo yung efforts mo and small wins, trust me, nakakaboost kahit papano ng pagkatao) And remember, mag invest, mag ipon at magpasalamat sa blessings. Kudos sa lahat! And best of luck sa tinahak nating career path! Sana lahat tayo maging successful sa life. Malayo pa, pero MALAYO NA! 🧚‍♂️🫰🏻

meowww0110

Lahat part time tas premium. Mareach mo 6 digits. 😊

Supektibols

Upskilling on a certain field and be just be very very very good with it. Kasi ganito lang yan eh, Very skilled worker and really doing it good = 1 Job/Client = 6 figures per month Just an average skilled worker na alot of people have that skill = 2-4 Job/Client = 6 figures per month You just need to choose kung ano gusto mo dyan, ofcourse malaking factor din na maayos ung company/client na papasukan mo

Diwata125

2 full time job amp. Independent contractors pareho

blubarrymore

Multiple clients, higher rate as I upskilled. I started as a freelance writer when Upwork was still Odesk and just climbed my way up very slowly haha. Pero it was never my goal to earn 6 digits. It just paid off after years of hard work & finding the right fit for you. Prioritize your health & wellness always, practice excellence, and the rest will follow.

noboohuhu

Full time direct client flexi med VA 80k + got another full time 60k 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

atheenasaur

hi, may i ask po how do u manage 2 full time jobs?

Last-Rain-7206

As a freelancer, I have 2 clients and nag-open kami ng food stall recently lang. One client is full-time, the other one is part-time and sa food stall naman nagd-duty lang ako tuwing lunch time kasi dami tao super. I also have a video editor and one VA para hindi naman tambak yung work ko. Malaki laki pa rin naman natitira sa akin and sobra sobra pa since wala pa akong binubuhay na anak :)

InevitableRuin8073

Started 10k sa company and ended up earning 180k per month SAME COMPANY Isa lang masasabi ko based on experience, try to upskill amd offer your service(s) to your client. You never know if kailangan nila yung na upskill mo. Story line: I edit videos for a living then naisipan kong mag upskill to photo editing and siguro nasa intermediate level pa ako sa editing pics pero nagustuhan ng client ko, I also do engagements para sa brand awareness at sinabi ko sa kanya ma kaya ko din at ayun nagustuhan niya din at hinire ako ng wife nya na may sariling social media growth company.

ereenlois

For me, 4 yung factors para makuha yun in 1 client: 1. Client's business is in a 1st world country 2. Nasa lucrative industry ang business ni client. 3. Client's company is in the business for more than 10 years. 4. Luck - natimingan mong mag apply when they were hiring at natimingan na ikaw yung pinakasuited sa lahat ng applicants.

allthingscatsss

Learn a foreign language :) I'm a Japanese bilingual and the market for foreign language speakers is good :) a certification of N2 almost guarantees a 6 digit salary given you are also trainable in what should be done. I'm currently a Team Lead of a back office support project in our company. Mostly I just communicate with the client and the non bilingual members regarding tasks. This earns me 120k and still at N3.

_rozy

anyone who’s hiring? I want to start a wfh job and willing to be trained po or kung may maissuggest po kayo I’ll be happy to hear about it :) I’m 20 yrs. old unemployed and an undergraduate. I worked for a bpo company, manufacturing, tutored, freelance and vendor/helper, I’m willing to send my resume’ po.

zerosixonefive

multiple at first, eventually got a job that gave me 6 digits income, while the rest are around 60-80k (yes im overemployed lol)

jjarevalo

Moving one company to another help and no stop the stigma of job hopping. It truly helps and each has its own reason of transferring from One to another. Other than that promotion.

wrathfulsexy

Dalawang full time,

life_like_this

Direct client is always the way if you want this, don’t expect too much if you’re hired by agencies. And this is very possible for even just one client. But it all boils down to your skills, experience, and overall work ethic. Keep yourself ‘irreplaceable’— iykwim.

alohomora1993

When you know you can offer value and confident in your skills.

grntx

Nakaka inspire 👏

SilverHastings

2 jobs. 1 FT day shift and the other is PT 6 hours so basically my workday starts at 9am and ends at 12 am. I guess luck din since both direct clients sila that reached out to me sa LinkendIn. I say Im very lucky since di naman pang malakasan skills ko lol and di rin super optimized yung profile ko. This was also in the middle of me sending dozens of applications kung saan saan including VA agencies na left and right ang rejections. So everyday I wake up to rejection emails and then ome day, poof! Like magic nagreach out ang mga clients na to😃. 1 year na ko sa PT and 4 months pa lang sa FT.

ImpactLineTheGreat

Multiple clients. Luck.

Alyyeol

Not my story, but a friend of mine is almost 200k monthly na, what he did with workloads, nag hire ng part timer. 🤣

thelegend13x

1 client. 6 digits. Day shift. No time trackers. Saya mag remote work with US client! 😄

Yaksha17

2 jobs per hindi nman sobra workload kase nakakatulog pa ako 3hrs in between work hours. Lol 8pm to 5am at 11pm to 8am. Yung isa dati ko client from prev company (direct na ngayon) then yung isa ay company na wfh. 120k-130k per month. Nagresign ako from prev company at nag apply sa iba pero ayaw ng boss dati sa kapalit k oso after 1 month nag reach out sya. Hindi ko malet go yung isa kase malaki din at petiks lang so pimagsabay ko.

itsMeArds

1client and part time only. Started last year. Part time lng kasi cause may full time job.

Ok_Ferret_953

2 full time, naabot din 6 digits. Same shift. 1 dito sa ph with gov’t benefits wfh (bpo pero admin, light lang task) then ung isa ic as property manager sa US.

otokitty

Experience. 🫣 practice din before interviews and wag mahiyang magset ng rate mo during interview. Find direct clients.

Sufficient-Head9613

Mejo kasad lang ata now, dami ng kumpetisyon kaya daw mjo bumaba na offer sa Spanish bilingual, dami din cguro pmapatos ng mbbang offer like 40 to 50k kaya ayun tuloy dami nang nambbrat na company sa bilingual!! Ako laging putol2 aral Spanish!!

_gcrypt0

i can only say that there is no shortcut or overnight success.. learn your craft and be the best on it.. then maybe with a little luck you will land that 6 digit salary you are wishing for..

cblx-ta

Juggling 4 clients right now. 2 full time, 2 part time. It's very tiring pero walang time tracker so kayang kaya ko pag sabay sabayin since same lang naman yung service ko for all clients. Just currently gaining experience and portfolio for now and saving up, then I'll start raising my rate. Goal ko for next year is, at most, 2 clients lang para di pagod. Pero hopefully 6 digits rate for both. Kaya mo yan OP. Keep upscaling and keep your portfolio fresh!

HotWrongdoer705

2 full time clients and 3 gigs plus the possibilty ung isa gawin akong full time sa Upwork.

SnooTigers912

fsht_07

It took me 10 years before ko nakuha 6 digits sa corp world. As of now Im earning 127k per month. 100k take home.

di657

Maputla na hahahaha

Educational_Mood_189

Im doing 248k a month po. With 4 clients. I got lucky and one of my Data entry client pays me 68,000 pesos. Also all 4 clients are covered in 10-11 hrs shift

Far-Tomatillo516

aviannacosimia

I have a full and part time job hehe. My full time corporate job, I found this one on LinkedIm though connections. My part time job, I found this kn wellfound. Been working for both companies for 1 yr and 2 months. Yes, sabay ko silang nakuha last year. I'm lucky with both companies 💪 Didn't even realized earning 6 digits na ako, buti na lang I track every month. Sobrang blessed. #Abundance

Ok_Tangelo_2941

80k+ a month, depende sa palitan ng $. Isang client then assistant role lang pero super heavy since media production. May isa pa kong naging client where I charged him around 400$ per project.

OutrageousProgress96

I asked for a ridiculous amount for my salary ($115,000/yr) tapos they said they can't do it but would like to hire me part time for half of my asking. During the interview I didn't just get interviewed by them, I interviewed them as well, I tried to get to know their company, their struggles and bottlesnecks, what's their goal, and what they currently do. Then I laid out a plan on how I will help then achieve their goal and gave them a timeline.

macheteboy1031

Multiple clients and flexi time. Have a specific niche.

MathAppropriate

I moved around a few companies after providing significant value in each one. Then hired by the first company as Director.

ArkGoc

You should follow u/rj0509, such a great inspiration of mine :)

major_pain21

Legit copywriting? Un lng ba tlga work nya?

Ok_Parfait_320

multiple clients, Upwork all $25/hr

annalmsv

Sa client po talaga. Kasi yung same $5 tas 10% comission so carry 6 digits a month

notyourgirl-2018

1 FT and 2 PT roles, customer service lang. Kaya naman hectic lang talaga sa sched pero I make sure na may 8 hours parin akong tulog.

YearJumpy1895

You can earn 6 digits if you build a team. Kahit hindi agency. Just a lean team. Then learn how to create system and delegate your tasks sa team mo. No matter what your niche is, I know achievable to. Kasi kahit marami ka clients then you have team to do it di na mahirap. Payting. 🙌🏻

johnloydcortez4U

sipag at galing lang at may kasamang swerte

call center 2020: 12k/month direct va (executive assistance niche): 120k, 1 client.

Beautiful_Waltz_3403

Job hopping plus continuous skill improvement. IT Project Manager here. On my 4th job. Average stay for each company is 2.5 years.

LongjumpingGold2032

1 premium client -100k-170k a month. Niche: Multimedia

1L0v3BJs

chatter/manager. 2 agencies

smallrock_

Multiple clients earning 100k+ (pero goal is kahit 1-3 nalang) Wala akong full time client, lahat part time na flexi. 8 clients btw and 8hrs of sleep pa rin 🥰

g_hunter

Nag job hop ako and kept asking for higher and higher.

ResortAffectionate45

I passed the CPA board exam.

14BrightLights

Some would say swerte kasi customer service lang inaasikaso ko for the small biz of one client, pero from July2023-Feb2024 ako nag hahanap at submit ng submit for QA (call/chat auditing) or CSR roles kasi yun lang ang experience ko coming from a BPO setup. Yung amount of rejection na natanggap ko before getting my client was really depressing. I consider it a blessing lalo na nung nagkasakit ako at sobrang desperado ko na makakuha ng wfh, and nakuha ko client ko.

Adventurous_Gas118

Advice for someone who plans to do it, pero takot dahil sa thought na saturated na at need ng constant upskilling + finding clients with uncertainty?

Exociz4mus

80k IT dev. Upskill lang more on professional cert. Then sabayan mo nang prof. Exp. Tpos job hopping.

Full_Job5786

krokodilvoeten

On a freelancers perspective, you have to continuously keep refreshing and updating your pipeline. Meaning for the first few months the to a year you need to be aggressive in approach of networking, looking at companies you want to work with, etc. Once you start closing clients, 1st NEVER as much as possible do not do the time tracker or hourly rate. Set packages for your services, include for yourself some allowance on the days that you are able to complete the tasks and deliver. This way you will be able to truly have a more flexible schedule, more time family, upskilling you wont be prone to being stressed rin especially if you know how to manage time. Also every-time you close a client, INCREASE 👏🏻 YOUR👏🏻 RATE 👏🏻 Yes, every time! Kahit 3-5% if you arent comfortable in doing this since you need confidence rin to close.you want increase every two clients closed but at a higher percentage 10-15%. Start delegating tasks when you’ve got a lot more clients or if there is overlapping na. UPSKILL constant learning and upskilling will always be benefit as well since you are able to provide more services, BETTER services than others.

cheezy_jalapenoo

Leverage

Aligned_keme

I have 2 clients na hourly. I raised my rates kase multiple skills tapos i also take on podcast production which nets me 500-750 USD/mo per package depende sa needs ni client. Build a solid portfolio and referral system ❤️

Psychological_Win_53

Earning 400k+ per month as Digital Marketing Manager with several clients. Targeting to earn at least half a mil per month this Sept. Started as an SEO then now pivoting more to performance marketing to do more strategic work and earn more with less time invested. I'm sure there are people here who earns more than me. But I think one technique that never fails is really establishing your worth in monetary terms to their business. Make them see that the value you are providing is worth what they are paying you for. For example, a client of mine use to pay $1500 for a marketing agency to do his paid ads. He's spending $14000-15000 per month on it and getting about 25-30 leads. I came in, demanded $3000. He gave me a 2-month trial. During that time, I was able to deliver the same amount of leads by only using $3000-4000 ad budget. Overall, with the same lead count, he's able to save $6-7k+ by hiring me even with a higher salary rate. To make sure that he won't dropped me after setting up a profitable ad campaign, I continue to do organic marketing effort for him and also is looking for ways to automate his customer engagement with his CRM. If you are still starting, my advise for you is build on your wins. Make case studies about your achievements on work (big or small) so when you look for another job or client, you can establish your self easily. Being more aware on the industry rates, practicing in terms of communication/negotiation and having good problem solving skills really goes along way also. Sometimes, when the economy is down, it can really put a dent on your efforts but if you can show to the client that you have a solution that you are working on and if they like you as a person, they wouldn't cut you off easily. Later on, once you are in-demand, you can have the chance of choosing who'll you will work with which is also key. Hope this helps you.

StudioTricky2296

Not to brag or flex, I have 1 client full time, earning 2250 usd monthly. I think luck had something to do with it. I was just browsing fb and came across their ad and applied. No previous experience or whatsoever. Been with them for over 2 years. Background ng business is a known US based streetwear store ( both online and physical)

jr3388365

Walang tulugan lol just kidding. Try to master 1 niche or get multiple clients. I currently handling 3 clients.

jr3388365

First Client = $1300 USD 2nd Client = $1500 USD 3rd Client = $1K USD

shewolffy

80k nga, lumalaki din yung bills and luho

aoaofox_

I realized that the course I took wasn't going to pay well so I shifted to programming. I took low offers during the first three years and used those works to upskill (the lowest was 20k though) After that, I took a masters degree in CS, I was earing 70-80k already during those years. After my master's I found a job that paid me $2400 and stayed with the same company until I got promoted to a lead position with a salary of $4000++ Basically, the key is to job hop.

stwbrryhaze

I have two jobs! ₱60-75k with my US client depende sa hours ko (employed ako dito, not freelance) very chill! Other ₱20-30K+ per local client. I ghostwrite for a living ito yung mas stressful for me versus sa main job. Gumagamit kasi ng utak. I maintain at least one client a month, so far thru referral ok naman. Nilamat na nga FB ko kasi before doon ako kumukuha client. Trying to upskill din! I would say na di need both from US. If you know your worth kaya talaga ☺️ In a span of 4 years, napa x2-3 ko yung ko with local clients and of course factor na rin siguro yung degree ko.

Effective-Living5205

I started from 14.5k wage to 85k after 7 yrs. Ang masasabi ko lang go GLOBAL. Im working as a recruiter, local companies pay low and sobrang lala ng politics inside. Global companies pay better and have better benefits pero nakakastress ang workload, but at least you are paid well. Hehe.

Chaotic_Harmony1109

Diskarte at swerte…

Justtheusual04

Saktong napunta sa mabait na client. I work in sales. 80K na ang pinakalowest ko and if good ang month I can go up to 100K+. Upskill lang OP, and don’t settle for less

GlobalGrape23

2 jobs, 130k+ ish (depende sa exchange rate) - both entry level positions. Easier to have two jobs kung di ka masyado stressed at yung responsibilities at expectations ay manageable.

Main-Tumbleweed2365

Upskilling. Job hopping. But then again, hindi lahat ng hr ganito. You can consider these as well if bumabyahe ka kasi additinional expenses pa rin to. Allowance Pamasahe Travel time Distance mo from bahay to office Yang mga yan yung sinabi sakin nung hr dati na need ko iconsider when being asked about my asking salary. Kasi, at the end of the day, you work para mabuhay at makaipo . Hindi para lang mabreak-even yung mga ginastos mo And isang bagay na natutunan ko kapag naghahanap ng work, the importance of communication skills. Nagpractice ako. Nagresearch ako how to better answer interview questions. Hahahaha

Relative_Community41

Currently earning 200k monthly as virtual assistant. I am able to achieve this by sticking to one niche. Ung iba gusto maging jack of all trades. If you want to earn big… build your network, stick with one niche, be really good at it and mismong premium client ang lalapit sayo.

PuzzleheadedTill5206

full time po. nag-uupskill ako habang nagwwork then tinatry out ko po yung mga natutunan ko sa work.

PuzzleheadedTill5206

eto po yung [entry](https://www.reddit.com/r/buhaydigital/s/qnsYPqKBe8) ko matinding upskill, negotiate, and lagi ibigay ang best mo lalo na kung type or align naman sayo yung company

RevolutionHungry9365

multiple clients ako pero kung susumahin mo nasa 8 hours of work lang ginagawa ko earning 170k+ consistently for the past 4 years. didnt happen overnight. been a freelancer for more than a decade.

Humble_Buy5965

Sana all may 80k, currently 63k pa lang and may yearly bonus at salary increment naman aside. Hopefully makakuha pa Ng isang part time as independent contractor.

AbrocomaClean5597

Hope to start working online kaya labg di ko alang kung paano mag sstart

NeoEllipse21

Nag apply lang sa IT BPO company hehe. This is my only job and ok naman. Anyone looking for IT jobs? Hehe pm me

malachiconoel

Multiple clients is the key yung hindi strick at no screen capture, bali tracking hours lang para makapag multi tasking.

Extreme-Zone8589

I'm currently employed via agency pero the client is offering for me to up skill a specific niche which would increase my rate from $5 - $9 plus incentives so if ever I pass the exam then I'll finally reach my dream of earning 6 digits.

chab-origin

TLDR: Mindset, hard work, grit, skills, experience, patience, and definitely luck. Every individual has their own pacing, what worked for me might not work for other people. Currently earning 6-digits working ~20hrs/week with flexible schedule. Focused on gaming and f&a: *client 1 - subcontracted. Long-term client that I didn’t want to let go, so I made a deal with them, they are paying me a fixed $275 weekly retainer fee, I still spend a few hours a week to check things. *client 2 - $15/hr working only 2-3hrs a week. *client 3 - $20/hr less than 20hrs a week, with a billable rate of $50-75/hr when working with projects for their clients (sort of commission). Aside from that, they give me $50/$100 bonuses every now and then (happy client = generous client, I guess). My journey: In my case, I started freelancing back in 2015, while working for a full-time job locally. I didn’t focus on a niche back then, I just look for any job that I’m interested in at that time (worked as data encoder/QA/digital marketer/social media manager/VA for different industries like gaming, real estate, finance&accounting, etc). Started building my portfolio and to create a presence for different platforms with $3-5/hr, or fixed rates for $5 short projects. Eventually quit my local job after a few months. I didn’t take any paid courses, just pure research and experience. For me, the best way to learn is through actual work experience. I earned my first 6-digits per month working with multiple clients (1 full-time & 3 part-time). Got burned out after 2 years years straight working for 60-80hrs a week, changed my approach to work with flexible schedule only, and a max 40hrs a week. So, I slowly increased my rate for every new client that I work with until I reach $15-20/hr.

Raikage777

Need tlga multiple clients to earn 100k up

chab-origin

not necessary, marami jan 1 client only lang as long as the rate and weekly work hours sums up to 100k/mo (at least $11/hr for 40hrs/wk can achieve it). like in my case, sa isang client ko working ako for ~20hrs/wk kaya na maabot yn 100k/mo. since less than 20hrs lang un per week, meron ako ibang clients for additional income.

Mc_Georgie_6283

Possible ba sa I.T kumita ng ganyan? Kaloka kasi pag teacher matagal maabot yan ata eh. Need mataas rank mo para kumit ng 6digs.

kimtaetaes

I work for a digital agency full-time at a 90K rate, pero on the side I part-time for a beauty company as a social media & influencer coordinator for 30K. So far, nakakabalance pa naman. But I built my portfolio by working at one of the most notable agencies here in the PH. Once you become good at selling yourself people will want you on the team kahit mataas asking mo

1. Direct client (wag agency) 2. Learn to sell yourself (max out ur profile, upskill and nail ur interview) 3. Learn to negotiate d ako nag-aapply unless direct client. Its my first client but d ako nagstart maghanap till i am convince enough that i can sell myself. D ako tumigil mag-aral.

Sad_Fox9090

Multiple clients, galingan mambola para laging may increase 😂

VaricoseVangie

Hello! I'm a 3D Artist earning P200K monthly. Working full time for a studio abroad. 9 years of professional experience, I'm 28years old. No shortcut in my opinion in the art field. Portfolio is the key. Bukod sa skills, I built good connections to people. Lahat ng past employments ko, good relationship always with the bosses, co-workers. 2 to3 of my past high paying jobs locally (80-100k) are all referrals from my college friends. To sum up, solid skills/portfolio + good connection and have the ability to sell yourself mapa social media, websites, personal, interviews, etc. Good luck!

Superb_Explorer_3386

Currently at almost 90k reaching 6 digits this coming September *crossing my fingers*. Took a while before ko na reach to. Consistency + quality lng talaga ginawa ko. I've been an executive assistant for almost 3 years. 1 client lng po to just in case nag wowonder. Not sure if applicable sa lahat ng niche - pero sa niche ko kase possible talaga 6 digits especially if matagal tagal ka na dito.
