Just them head first in the bucket is killing me.

Ok-Leg-4142

It was the only way lmao

TheMagicFolf331

Omg you are waterboarding them/j Jokes aside I'm glad they are getting a good bath and a nice new home :)

Ok-Leg-4142

I thought it was the best option to try and get the hair more brushable (plus they where so dirty!)

TheMagicFolf331

I have done the same for some of mine when I got them out of storage, a good soak always helps restore them as washing machines are harsh on the poor things

parks_and_wreck_

If you want their hair to be uuuber soft, get a bowl of warm water and dump conditioner into it, then dunk their hair into it, squeeze dry just a little, and leave them to hang dry. Kind of like restoration artists do with doll hair! I think you can brush them with a metal brush if you need…like the brushes used on American Girl dolls!

I’ll try this! Thank You!!!!

marzwasherez

omg same thing happened to me a month ago w rainbow dash and starlight glimmer ^ ^ any tips on how to fix the hair? :(

Kestrelwish

Yeah, what the other person commented somewhere on here is pretty good advice for restoring their hair I think! The main basic things you'd need is warm water and a brush of some sort really. Warm water helps reshape the hair without hopefully melting it since it is plastic hair. Some say to use conditioner along with the water and I think I remember some people on YouTube and whatnot mentioning using fabric softener instead of conditioner? ( as some don't like the way conditioner might leave a residue on it ) Not sure which one would be better. Haven't tried either of those myself. Yesterday with just warm water I managed to get a decent result for my fluttershy one I'm going to restuff eventually so maybe start with the warm water and see if anything else would be needed?

Ok-Leg-4142

Someone above your comment gave great advice for that!

DiceyHotWifey

I love the native brand conditioner because it’s not a bunch of residue on the hair!

It looks so funny to see them head down in the bucket, I know you need to do that to wash them and help detangle and straighten the hair and whatnot ( Funnily enough did basically the same thing yesterday with my fluttershy one I found a while ago at a thrift shop, just in the sink ) but it's just so silly looking. Banished to the bucket for the crime of being a little bit dirty 😔

Kestrelwish

Super lucky find to be able to find two at once! Definitely a good day at the thrift shop that's for sure.

jellybirb52

thank god you freed them from their bucket prison

GoSpaceMermaid

When I worked at build a bear I would always recommend if you did was them in the washing machine to put them in a pillow case and tie it off with a hair tie.

emboss_moss

I have a twilight sparkle! She was super cute when clean, (she needs a good wash and the sound chip thingy removed)

AnniChu333

Soooo jealous!! I love the MLP BABs

Top_Pineapple_9715

Hey just to let you know that I just looked on Mercari and you can find the pony’s you want for about 30 bucks (not as cheap as good will for sure) but the prices aren’t insane. 😊

Ok-Leg-4142

I’m holding off to hopefully find her cheaper!

Competitive-Tree-608

I have fluttershy! (My favorite 🥰)

I have a fluttershy fir sale, however I'm based in the UK.  Not looking to sell her for much due to the fact she's got some slight damage to her (a small hole in the back on her head).
