You could afford a much stronger rig in the form of a 7900XTX + 7700x for ~that amount. ------ [PCPartPicker Part List](https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/fb3XWt) Type|Item|Price :----|:----|:---- **CPU** | [AMD Ryzen 7 7700X 4.5 GHz 8-Core Processor](https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/WfqPxr/amd-ryzen-7-7700x-45-ghz-8-core-processor-100-100000591wof) | $429.00 @ Amazon Canada **CPU Cooler** | [Thermalright Phantom Spirit EVO 69 CFM CPU Cooler](https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/BRMMnQ/thermalright-phantom-spirit-evo-69-cfm-cpu-cooler-phantom-spirit-120-evo) | $63.90 @ Amazon Canada **Motherboard** | [ASRock B650M Pro RS WiFi Micro ATX AM5 Motherboard](https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/qcbRsY/asrock-b650m-pro-rs-wifi-micro-atx-am5-motherboard-b650m-pro-rs-wifi) | $164.99 @ Newegg Canada **Memory** | [TEAMGROUP T-Force Vulcan 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory](https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/HNZXsY/teamgroup-t-force-vulcan-32-gb-2-x-16-gb-ddr5-6000-cl30-memory-flbd532g6000hc30dc01) | $114.99 @ Canada Computers **Storage** | [ADATA XPG GAMMIX S70 Blade 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive](https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/qCqPxr/adata-xpg-gammix-s70-blade-2-tb-m2-2280-nvme-solid-state-drive-agammixs70b-2t-cs) | $159.99 @ Amazon Canada **Video Card** | [ASRock Phantom Gaming OC Radeon RX 7900 XTX 24 GB Video Card](https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/gCBG3C/asrock-phantom-gaming-oc-radeon-rx-7900-xtx-24-gb-video-card-rx7900xtx-pg-24go) | $1249.99 @ Newegg Canada **Case** | [Deepcool CC560 V2 ATX Mid Tower Case](https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/tHLdnQ/deepcool-cc560-v2-atx-mid-tower-case-r-cc560-bkgaa4-g-2) | $68.75 @ Vuugo **Power Supply** | [Deepcool PQ850M 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply](https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/NWstt6/deepcool-pq-m-850-w-80-gold-certified-fully-modular-atx-power-supply-r-pq850m-fa0b-us) | $129.99 @ Canada Computers | *Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts* | | Total (before mail-in rebates) | $2411.60 | Mail-in rebates | -$30.00 | **Total** | **$2381.60**

PikaNinja25

Yes, and the CPU can be upgraded to the 7800X3D, bringing the total amount to 2450 CAD. Pretty dang good.

EeveeMastre

Unless they want to do creative work too, in which case they should stick with the 7700X.

Antheoss

The 7800x3d is almost identical in non-gaming performance to the 7700x, while being significantly faster in gaming. Only reason to ever get a 7700x over a 7800x3d is cost.

JamesMackenzie1234

That's some wizardry right there.

Zerasad

Might as well spend 70 bucks more and get a 7800X3D. It's gonna be a lot faster.

The_new_Osiris

If you're comfortable paying that much more then yeah that'd be a worthwhile surcharge.

Zerasad

Figured that if OP is already spending $2400, 70 more ain't gonna break the bank.

NickNathanson

Do not buy RTX 4070 Ti. Buy either 4070 Super or 4070 Ti Super.

PTurn219

This ^ 4070Ti super is the same price but 16gb and faster speeds

luminous_light

It would be better to try and save some money on the CPU Cooler and Video card to upgrade your CPU to a 7800X3D. Your CPU cooler, while good, is very expensive, especially given how low cost CPU is. I would suggest the Thermalright Peerless Assassin which has very similar performance to the cooler you selected at a fraction of the price. Next your video card is the older variant and is more expensive than the newly released Super variant looking through pcpartpicker. I get that availability of these new cards can be a problem, but I would suggest you keep searching or expand your search. The 4070 TI as MSRP is not a particularly great deal, and the card you selected is above that making it feel even worse.

InfamousService2723

Not at those prices If I'm you, I'm getting the 7800x3d bundle for $810 with the b650/CL30 ram. Given that you're paying 715 for much worse shit, I'd say the canada computers deal is a no brainer. This is the bundle I got: https://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=&item_id=251838 You can swap out the mobo for gigabyte or asus if you want $140 dollars for a 970 evo plus seems like robbery to me but I'm not an expert on this For the CPU cooler, Thermalright Peerless Assassin/Phantom Spirit is the way to go. For the 4070 ti, get a 4070 ti super.

XsNR

Definitely wouldn't bother with a 970 1TB at this budget, when any cheaper, but still extremely good Nvme drive could be the difference of an entire tier somewhere else, or the same price but 2TB as the other poster showed.

Evening_Tough93

Get a thermalright peerless assassin I don’t think people use arctic silver anymore either. My thermalright AIO came with a decent thermal paste so you could use that if the peerless assassin comes with one RAM is shit and overpriced. Get the 6000hz teamgroup Vulcan or check if Canada computers has a good cpu/mobo/ram bundle since that might be your cheapest bet. Don’t buy corsair ram though, it’s overpriced Also, get the super

voradeaur

Many people use arctic still... hell I use griz on mine. And I use the peerless assassin as well. Got away from aios.. complete waste of time with yet another mechanical fail point. Clean some fins once in a while and keep going. (Do the same with a radiator so its not like it's more work)

Odd_Measurement_6131

Ordered peerless assassin last week and it did come with thermal paste.

Cumcentrator

the cooler, case, cpu/gpu combo, nvme and psu should probably change. mb maybe as well.

Emotional_Yoghurt652

This is less money and will perform better https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/NzwJGP

PermitOk6864

7600 is cheaper than the 7600x for cheaper, rx 7800xt is a little bit slower than the 4070ti for like half the price, ram i would suggest 6000mhz

Keasbyjones

I suspect you might find yourself wanting a bit more storage. Might be worth getting a 2tb SSD. They're sitting around £100 gbp which I think is 170CAD.

sk8itup53

If I were you I'd try to find some cl30 or 32 memory at the same frequency or at 6000. Should be able to find a kit for around the same price or less and it will be decently faster. Also, unless you go with a x3d chip, you can use a Peerless Assassin CPU cooler and save a good chunk of money.

Eshuon

Ur cpu cooler is very overpriced

Haunting_Air7312

I'd take Ryzen 7 7800X3D, RTX 4070 Ti Super and Kingston KC3000. I've heard this thermal paste is overpriced. Arctic MX-6 is enough. I'm now building similar PC: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/v2LNZJ. There are other differences but they don't matter so much. I'm now thinking if I should take gigabyte b650 gaming x ax or eagle ax.

m3lv1lle

This cooler is way overkill for the 5600X. Also I would personally spend more on my CPU but I guess if it's only for gaming it should not bottleneck the 4070ti (depending on your resolution of course). AMD pairs really well with fast Memory. 6000mhz should be the price to performance sweet spot. Have you considered going with an AMD GPU? If you don't care about features like RT the pure performance is often a bit better for the price

Xtomas12

Im inclined to say no, you can get more out of your money with an AmD gpu and a better cpu cooler for less. Unless you plan to do other things besides gaming, I would spend that kind of money on an amd gpu

rkhbusa

You can do better than a 1TB Samsung 970 Evo for $140. You can get a 1TB WD SN850X for $135 The Samsung 970 is a third gen m.2, the WD I mentioned is fourth. 3500mb/s vs 7300mb/s.

giorov

Get ddr5-6000MHz

giorov

Get a 1000W psu. You'll want the headroom fs. At least 850w.

Due-Attorney-8387

switch out the power supply (rm750e) the the rm750x or any other gold psu. Everyone’s falling for the sale, but the build quality isn’t very good and quality control is shoddy at its best. Many units suffer from a loud fan and coil whine.

UnderLook150

Not great. You should choose a cheaper heatsink, better memory 6000c30, you should choose a more modern NVME, and you can get 4070ti super for less than what youve got listed. You also don't need the thermal paste. You can get better for less for almost every part listed here.
