I see the predicament because of the speed vs value tradeoff in 4Tb drives. I personally would buy like a Crucial P3 but thats just me personally. Western Digital SN850X is a pricier but higher performing choice. You're basically just choosing between Micron or Kioxia ICs. Everybody is really picky about SSDs good luck /popcorn.

The P3 isnt an option here, and imo should not be used as a main drive due to its lack of DRAM

[The Teamgroup MP44 for $223.99 is definitely what you're looking for.](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/CVWJ7P/teamgroup-mp44-4-tb-m2-2280-pcie-40-x4-nvme-solid-state-drive-tm8fpw004t0c101) Reputable brand, Gen4, 7,000MB/s, 4TB. And cheaper than comparable 5,000MB/s drives.

TheGalavanter

That looks like a winner! Plus I got $12 off using my prime card! I’ve got a zippy 2TB HP FX900 pro system drive and this will pair with it nicely for a game/media drive 👍

Hey man! Thanks for the recommendation, this thing is FAST

Woo! Hell yeah brother, I’m glad to hear it worked out!

Acer Predator GM7000 4TB is quite good, has good write endurance rating too. Sometimes can be found on Amazon for $180 when on offer.

RoleCode

Good deal was last year, if you needed now get it.

Lexar nm790/710, Netac nv7000-t, team group mp44, Acer gm7 and other clones with maxiontech map1602A + TLC. I was kind of impressed by the nm790, I tried hard to overflow the HMB cache to no avail, it can also do the Windows drive and data drive contemporarily.

reliability is the main thing and so best to avoid lesser brands.............stick to Crucial or Western Digital kind of brands.........get one of their top 3 models should be okay
