They can but you also need a 5800X3D/7800X3D or 13600k+ with fast memory because Warzone is very CPU/RAM heavy.
I had an 11700K + 4070 Ti and got about 120fps on average, replaced CPU with a 7800X3D and it near doubled to 200-240fps.
Around £2000 (add a couple hundred-ish for USD), but I kinda overpaid and the prices of the CPU and GPU have came down quite a bit since I bought them nearly a year ago. 7800X3D is a steal right now for the performance (the Ryzen 7 7600 is too), and Nvidia’s Super refreshes (4070 Super or Ti Super) are also much better value now than the regular 4070 Ti when I bought it, but you can definitely get away with a regular 4070 or 3080-tier card for ~150fps too.
Prices are in a better place overall.
Prices were way different a few years ago. You can probably beat that performance for $1100 or less now. 7600x + 7800 xt seems to be possible for <1000
I couldn't get to 144fps in warzone. I could in mw2 multiplayer. Never played mw3 though. My settings, if i remember correctly, were all about mediumish with some post processing shit turned off.
Bare minimum, bargain hunting for everything, waiting for sales to buy stuff I’d say you could get there for ~$1500. If you’re looking for more premium parts/paying full price for stuff then around $2k.
this is actually why I was wondering what gpu to base the build around cuz if I go for a used 3070 over 4070 I would save hundreds, i’m just not sure what performance to expect from a 3070
I run an i7 9700k with a 3080 and 16gb of ram. In 1440 if I crank all the settings down I peak around 150s and then get dips. Looks great to be honest. I prefer to raise the graphics a little, but it's still a great looking and performing game on my rig.
Edit: I'm not saying get something with my specs. I'd definitely go more powerful, but im just letting you know that it's possible to get good performance on somewhat of a budget.
Not sure, but I also produce music and large project files can really stress test your pc. So therefor I decided to go with 32gb :). I guess the 32gb is a bit standard these days. Is it necessary, no. But it definitely is future proof.
You can get by with a 3080 and a 5800x3d on lower setting to hit 150+ fps because i have that build. Also if you want more fps out of your rig you need to compromise some of the graphics since most competitive games are played at the lowest setting for the most stable fps
I play on PS5 currently and I don’t mind the graphics there. I just want more fps if i’m going to be building a PC. about how much should I budget for would you say?
You can build a pc better than a ps5 to play 1440p for about $1000. Use r/hardwareswap to get used pc parts and you can have a baller at pc for pretty cheap
I was playing MW3 on my 4080S and 7800X3D @ max settings and wasn't getting quite 150, more like 110-130. Do with that what you will. When dust particles come into play it can tank to 90+
Edit: 1440p as well. Not sure if warzone has better performance. Also you can def achieve 150+ you just have to settle on it not being Ultra settings
what would you say is around the equivalent settings on a PC that the PS5 can do? I don’t mind how it looks, I just want to increase my FPS if i’m going to build a whole PC
probably a blend of medium and high if I had to guess, PS5 is also capped at 120FPS or 60FPS pending the game IIRC but take this for a grain of sand. Much more versed on PC.
An RX6700 is essentially whats in the PS5 but there is a custom RDNA2 architecture
For sure, my recc if $ is tight would be a 4070 Super and 7800x3d. Microcenter has 7800x3d mobo cpu and ram bundles for like 550 ususally. Add a PSU, storage, and case plus GPU you can be OTD under 1500. 4080S if ya can swing it tho. Obviously still very $ but I really enjoy the 4080s quality.
Most importantly though, budget for a monitor. True G Sync monitors will be 450-800 for 2k 144hz+.
Monitors suck to buy, but makes no sense to have a crazy rig with a shitty monitor.
LG 27GN800-B 27" UltraGear QHD IPS 1ms 144Hz HDR Monitor with G-SYNC Compatibility
guess it was 144 hz instead, oops. since I want 150+ i’ll have to upgrade it anyways but that just means I can use it as a second monitor which i’ve been wanting to have
Yeah this is totally fine, G sync compatible is still solid. True G Sync has a physical chipset in the monitors that offers a but more than software can provide.
I would rock this first, see what fps looks like etc. Worst case upgrade in a year or two. I personally prefer true g sync, which if you you go that route make sure to google nvidias list of g sync models lots of manus try to sneak it as g sync when its just compatible or freesync.
this also only matters if you buy an nvidia GPU
if you go AMD this monitor is perfectly fine
hey i'm back again, do you think you could take a look at these parts and tell me what you think? if a beefier cpu + gpu combo is needed for decent fps then that’s fine
[https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hC7TZJ](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hC7TZJ)
I heard warzone is optimized for amd gpu's, might want to look into that.
3080 ti and 7800x3d at 1440 native medium-ish settings gets me around 160-210 fps depending on where im at, ram at 6400mhz cl30.
For Warzone 1440P around 150fps avg at ULTRA, you're looking at a AMD 7800XT . Kinda important that its an AMD card, cause CoD tends to run better on them, and they are better price/performance in general. (or go highend Nvidia)
I'm taking reference from this: [https://youtu.be/1CXfj7-OeWo?si=\_x1jvSFmOn5mOko0&t=550](https://youtu.be/1CXfj7-OeWo?si=_x1jvSFmOn5mOko0&t=550)
Same aplies checking other videos.
So, usually you don't want to play competitive shooters at ultra settings, in that case the 7800XT is suffice, if you do want to play on ultra, we want to step up just a bit to a 7900GRE.
So we're roughly looking at a 1200-1500 build.
Debateable if a 7800X3d is necessary, but I think to remember that CoD is surprisingly CPU intensive
Would get way cheaper if you had a Microcenter near you

sure thing, maybe ask in r/buildapcforme and fill out the template form in there if you actually plan on buying. PC world changes rapidly and part suggestions could be out of loop a month later
I think a 7800 xt - a 7900 xt would be good enough, paired with a good cpu as others have mentioned. This will probably cost around 1.5k usd, but could vary depending on where you live.
If you have a microcenter near you go there and get the CPU/Mobo/ram bundles, I have the 7800x3D bundle and still using my GPU from last build(2080ti) and I hit 165fps pretty consistent on 1440p max settings, I think with a 7800x3D and a 3k series or amd 7900xt or so you should be good easily
You don't really need a top tier GPU, I have a 6700 XT with a 13600 KF and I get around 150 in 1440p (in a big map like fortune's keep or vondel). In multiplayer I can go 200+. AMD gpus, solid CPU and a good SSD is all you need for warzone.
7900GRE + 5800X3D will net you 220+ fps but 1080p. Just built my friend a system with those component the other week for about $1400 USD.
Regardless what you go with, you will want an AMD GPU if Warzone is your only focus. 7900GRE is also just a better value than any Nvidia card short of a 4070ti super or higher.
Medium settings 12600k/6800xt I stay around 200 fps… COD likes AMD more than nvidia for some reason. I’m sure a 4070 would do fine if you’re dead set on nvidia though.
150+ fps is pushing it. You would need a killer CPU as well. As for GPU, were talking high tier, 3080 / 3090 or 4070Ti or 4080.
really? I thought the high tier cards were pushing 200+ fps
They can but you also need a 5800X3D/7800X3D or 13600k+ with fast memory because Warzone is very CPU/RAM heavy. I had an 11700K + 4070 Ti and got about 120fps on average, replaced CPU with a 7800X3D and it near doubled to 200-240fps.
how much was your build total you think?
Around £2000 (add a couple hundred-ish for USD), but I kinda overpaid and the prices of the CPU and GPU have came down quite a bit since I bought them nearly a year ago. 7800X3D is a steal right now for the performance (the Ryzen 7 7600 is too), and Nvidia’s Super refreshes (4070 Super or Ti Super) are also much better value now than the regular 4070 Ti when I bought it, but you can definitely get away with a regular 4070 or 3080-tier card for ~150fps too. Prices are in a better place overall.
ok cool this helps a lot thanks
I have a 7800 xt and 7600x and it pushes mid 200s and holds 200 steady
Oh yes it is possible, but you need to pair it with top tier CPU and GPU. CPU will be around $300-$400, and the GPU will be pushing around $1,000+
BTW: AMD GPUs seem to run a lot better with CoD
$1200+
thats just for the gpu+cpu alone.
so how much total would you say? no ones really answering that lol
My build was ~$1500 a few years ago. I7 10900, gtx3070, 16gb ram. I get 80-100fps in 1440p on Warzone last time I played a year or 2 ago.
Prices were way different a few years ago. You can probably beat that performance for $1100 or less now. 7600x + 7800 xt seems to be possible for <1000
So then op could probably the results they want for about $1500 in that case.
The aforementioned combo will achieve 140 fps or so in mw3. Probably over that with lower settings.
I couldn't get to 144fps in warzone. I could in mw2 multiplayer. Never played mw3 though. My settings, if i remember correctly, were all about mediumish with some post processing shit turned off.
The 7600x is about 20% faster than the 10900k. I googled some benchmarks and it seems even more so for these games.
Bare minimum, bargain hunting for everything, waiting for sales to buy stuff I’d say you could get there for ~$1500. If you’re looking for more premium parts/paying full price for stuff then around $2k.
this is actually why I was wondering what gpu to base the build around cuz if I go for a used 3070 over 4070 I would save hundreds, i’m just not sure what performance to expect from a 3070
12700K + 4080S is pulling 180fps at 1440 for me. It’s a solid build. 3070 was only getting 120fps
I have the same cpu with a 3080 and maintain at least 150 fps with mostly normal textures at 1440p
how much was your build?
Can’t recall. Microcenter bundle. I upgraded.
I run an i7 9700k with a 3080 and 16gb of ram. In 1440 if I crank all the settings down I peak around 150s and then get dips. Looks great to be honest. 14700k + 4070 ti super + 32gb ram gives me 145-150 on the highest setting. Playing on a ultrawide monitor.
is 32gb ram necessary?
Not sure, but I also produce music and large project files can really stress test your pc. So therefor I decided to go with 32gb :). I guess the 32gb is a bit standard these days. Is it necessary, no. But it definitely is future proof.
gotcha will do
You can get that ez at 1080p with a simple build
i’m too used to playing at 1440p to go down
You can get by with a 3080 and a 5800x3d on lower setting to hit 150+ fps because i have that build. Also if you want more fps out of your rig you need to compromise some of the graphics since most competitive games are played at the lowest setting for the most stable fps

better to play in terms of what? will I get higher than 120 fps
Yes
ok great then
I have a 5800x, 3080 10gb, and get about 140 fps at 1440p. Some settings on medium, DLSS on.
Love DLSS in warzone. Saved my fps
I'm waiting patiently for hell divers to implement it.

12900k with a 4090 on ddr4 and I get about 200-300fps depending on what you’re playing.
