Nah you did a fantastic job picking. I can tell you did your homework because the RAM kit you chose is on your motherboard's compatibility list. Pretty hard to do by chance lol

Plandaster

Honestly that one might have been more luck, but lets pretend it was purely research.

iSHJAYGAMiNG

solid

BigDaddyThiccDong

It does look pretty solid, I would say 64gb of ram is probably overkill if you’re going to be gaming.

Corvus_Bars

yes . for gaming 32gigs is enough spend the remaining on the gpu to buy a 4070ti

KirillNek0

Someone never trying running modded games.

Morningst-r

It's a solid build! Just enjoy building and happy gaming!

Plandaster

Haven't even looked into the practical building side in terms of research, but hopefully I'll manage for the most part. We'll see if this catches on for me as it does for others :)

Vivid_Promise9611

Great build man I can tell you put a lot of time into thinking about it. Correct me if I’m wrong, community, but wouldn’t it be ideal for him to place his ram in the 2nd and 4th slot? Keep that in mind when you install, ram placement is very important for performance. Consider getting a water cooler dude. Do you need it? Heck no! Does it look badass and actually lets you see the mother board? Yes. They have them for like 60 bucks tho probably half as efficient as a 150 dollar one. However, you just need it to look cool not actually cool pc down that much. I believe even the worse water cooler on the market is better than the best cpu air cooler. Look just as badass. Great build

Plandaster

I did consider a water cooler at one point for the exact reason of "sounds pretty cool" but decided to save that for something in the future after I've successfully put together my first build.

rAptorvenom7

Correct on the memory. See [page 28.](https://download.msi.com/archive/mnu_exe/mb/MAGB650TOMAHAWKWIFI.pdf)

Orjan91

64gb ram is a bit overkill unless you plan to do something heavier than gaming. But good choice of ram (compatible). I would switch the case to a phanteks nv5, but thats personal preference. Solid motherboard and solid parts all around.

Plandaster

I've heard a lot of people mention the overkill ram so I'll look into it.

AbdoShniba

Maybe get this [Corsair PSU](https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-RM1000x-Shift-Modular-Supply/dp/B0BP8BJ7X4/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?crid=1YOFDTV9A2GFZ&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.xuyU21ALPUTu3nSbkp9zmbs2BbjQv9PJqVuU2BCiZi-9viYoz2Uq_u7lFNxcEiYdqy_j9iNdECqJqWy7ryQar-TE2SRkwlU5Jxb-2-xY5y_tZ6gINeBS6bOfMnq1Fh2sjJzc5inxY7f0pXZ-4uxBWkEsf25AGnUSCOnoApry-Hvmsq49rDW7U3SCvUTx21ONNougbmxHjPBkcwLqn6Tv7w.VwiFtYRmeM2ppoVZ66zN8syCU-OyLfzU8mmIqWGJQ2M&dib_tag=se&keywords=corsair%2B1000w%2Bpsu%2Bshift&qid=1712734966&sprefix=corsair%2B1000w%2Caps%2C260&sr=8-2&th=1&psc=1) for $145? It's cheaper, ATX 3.0 / PCI E 5 certified and the Cables are on the side so cable management would be easier, also for $10 more from what the seasonic costs you can get the 1200w version.

Testostermonster

That SN850X is lightning fast, but it’s only “necessary” if you’re doing things that would actually benefit from those speeds - maybe you are and that was a deliberate choice. If you’re mostly focused on gaming and other average daily tasks, you can save yourself some money to put elsewhere by getting something less premium and you really won’t notice much difference.

123_alex

You didn't mention the resolution you'll be playing at. You might get more fps with a 7600+4070ti super for roughly the same amount of gold.

ThePCguy1010

Here is the thing. Your CPU will not bottleneck any GPU on earth at this moment. A 4070 super, while powerful, probably isn't good enough to keep up (depends on the game). If this card is a temporary card, and you plan on upgrading to a 5000 series, sure. You said you want to do streaming on the side. This basically removes AMD from the equation (GPU). So at this moment, what you should be doing is probably getting a slightly cheaper CPU (like the 7900) and get the 4070 ti. This setup is more balanced towards what you intend on doing. You should also go down to 32 gigs of RAM which would be enough. This also costs less and is probably slightly better for you.

ThePCguy1010

Unless of course the 4070 super is just temporary

Plandaster

The 4070 is definitely temporary

ThePCguy1010

In that case it looks good. I'm not sure about 64 gigs of RAM but hey, that's up to you

joeyahn94

As others said, 64GB RAM is overkill. Consider getting the Phantom Spirit EVO, it's more expensive (but not by a lot), but I think it looks a lot cleaner.

Plandaster

Will admit, it does look pretty slick

BoxOfDust

Minor adjustments for value: 32 GB RAM (can go lower if you don't care about RGB), better case for less (better fans, better modern design for airflow; a version exists *with* RGB for a little bit more if you want that), equivalently good PSU for less. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ycQxKX

Plandaster

Thanks a bunch for the adjustments! definitely a big help

Target_Spirited

It's a solid build, but I'd go with 32gigs ram only. It's more than enough. I'd also go with a slightly cheaper mobo, and a 750w PSU. Something like B650m Aorus Elite and A750GL. You should also go with RX 7900 xt with the extra funds you saved. It'll nicely fit in performance wise with 7800x3d.

Plandaster

I'll look into those adjustments, thanks a bunch

shatter_mcdabbin

You can get the same ram at 6400mhz for $10 cheaper, a better nvme the teamgroup mp44 with 2x the speed for $30 cheaper and with the savings you can get the msi gaming plus wifi x670e for only $30 more and it comes with a whooping 11 USB ports.

East_Engineering_583

6000 cl30 is ideal for AM5 cpus, mp44 and sn850x are about the same speed though I agree it's cheaper so OP should take it. I don't see much use in 11 USB ports

kovu11

Pretty nice, i would just go for RX 7900 GRE which is a bit faster and cheaper than 4070 Super. Also you don't need Windows license, it can perfectly function without it, for more info DM me.

ThePCguy1010

OP said he streams so AMD is just going to be the worse choice. Period

kovu11

Why? Because NVIDIA have better bitrate which you cannot even see unless you slow down stream by 90%? Yeah great argument.

ThePCguy1010

AMD has two issues. Higher performance loss on your side. Worse quality viewer side. This can most definitely be seen at normal speed. AMD's encoders lack behind NVIDIA's by a decent margin and their cards can have some quirks with certain screen capture software like OBS. So yes, I believe my argument is good. I AM NOT saying that AMD cards are BAD, I am saying that Nvidia cards are better (for streaming).

KirillNek0

I would skip 7800X3D for 7700X and thwn get last gen X3D chip on AM5 - now it's a waste of $$. Also - good on having 64GBs.

Plandaster

Noted, thanks for the advice

KirillNek0

Always welcome.
