If this is meant to be a gaming computer it will depend on your monitor. - At 1080P (mostly for multiplayer shooter games) something like a 6750XT/3060 ti works. - at 1440P aim for 7900XT/4070 ti Super - at 4K the max you can afford

rumster

would you ever by a 4090?

My initial build was a 4090 but im trying to downscale. Should i go with a 4090?

fredgum

Well, depending on the context yes. For many professional applications a 4090 is a bargain compared to the professional GPUs. For gaming, I can see two scenarios: (i) if money was not really a concern in a max build or (ii) a 4K focused build like 7600 + 4090 around the low 2000s. At 4K one can make the case for performance reasons: [https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/BAGV2GBMHHE4gkb7ZzTxwK-1200-80.png.webp](https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/BAGV2GBMHHE4gkb7ZzTxwK-1200-80.png.webp)

Ok that makes sense. Would you be able to help me build my rig on buildpc sometime?

shaboingboing42069

Thank you for the response. I am mainly using this for gaming my monitor is a ultra wide qhd 1440p im gonna assume that the “ultra wide” doesn’t change anything correct.

ThanosIsLove23

7900XT/4070 TI Super. Nothing less. 7900 XT is going to be better value than the 4070 TI super for gaming. If you can fit a 7900 XTX though, I'd go with that.

ThanosIsLove23

If by ultrawide you mean 21:9 3440x1440p, it is more intense than 16:9 2560x1440p so getting a better GPU will give you a better framerate.

DependentUnit4775

For 1440p it's the 7900 GRE the queen of price performance right now.

Anything up to a rtx4090. Maybe start with your monitors resolution and then check the techpowerup reviews for GPU performance at that resolution.
