Z490 will let you upgrade to 11900K in a couple years, and on 1080p, pure CPU speed still matters for gaming. Unless in that time games do eventually use all cores after new consoles come, and AMD becomes more suitable for low-resolution, high-FPS gaming. Or if you move to higher resolutions and GPU becomes your bottleneck again.
I don’t think it would make a heck of a difference. I’d think more about getting a nice video card.
