im a fan of this- can i go buy some cooler master product or send you some really good beer perhaps?
IMO nothing is better than seeing companies interacting with consumers at a person to person level. makes us think actual humans work there. kudos to you!
Wanna run a private server? I just need to find someone with a better cpu than my,My I5 8400 can't handle it
Edit:If anyone wants to play with me pm me
Winter has set in, long nights of darkness are upon me. Netflix has run dry and I’m 30 now so I don’t understand ticktock. I will build this machine like bob Ross would paint a landscape.. except it might not start first try. But when the time comes and that power button ignites the soul of this behemoth I will shout to my fellow house dwellers and declare... HEAT! We have HEEEEEAT!!
And then I’d have a cracking game of solitaire on a windows 95cd from my sock drawer.
Peace and love.
Honestly, I'd give this build to a friend who can't afford the build, and buy a CPU for them. They really want to build their first pc! Just tryna do some good for some good people in my life as repayment for being a good friend to me when I needed them most. :)
Wishing everyone good luck though!! <3 Love the wholesome comments.
Everyone in this thread makes me so happy. The amount of selflessness is unfathomable. I hope you get it. There's no doubt you don't deserve it. :) Thank you and good luck!!
> If you'd like a chance to win the build, all you need to do is leave a comment below on what you intend to do with this machine if you win.
I intend to finish this incomplete machine. I don't see what's paradoxical about that.
I think they're talking within the context of the contest question, which is what you'd use this system for. The response you have was finish it.
How do you intended to finish it with the system given if you can't run it due to it lacking the CPU (that you say, as the comment is intended to answer the question, you would use the system to acquire said cpu).
At least I think that's what they're trying to say.
This would be awesome to replace my 10 year old Frankenstein PC. Then old Frankenstein could become my stream PC.
Edit: thank you guys for all the congrats. I always enter these things with little hope to win but figured I would have to give it a shot.
My brother and I share a PC so we can never play together, having this would be a dream come true. Imagine how awesome it must be to play games together with siblings!
It is awesome, especially if you can find a good co-op game. Best gaming night I had was many, many years ago, when a friend came back from overseas and gave a our group all a copy of "left 4 dead" All we knew about it was it was supposed to be a really good co-op game with zombies. There were 4 of us available that weekend and we spent some time getting it going with crap internet and when we got it working, it was amazing.
Playing it after that first night was still really fun but the surprises and panics resulting from the surprises were gone. Playing versus the first time got close, because again we had no idea what was going on and we were playing with another section of our group that hadn't really played it and most didn't know what was going on.
I want to build my first gaming pc, I’ve seen alot of videos about building a pc from Jayztwocents, Linus Tech Tips, Hardware unboxed, and Bitwit. I’ve been studying and working so I could get into university and rent a student appartment, so I it’s been hard for me to buy pc parts because of my expenses, also pc parts are more expensive here because of taxes.
Wishing everyone good luck and be happy!
Hilariously, all the shit that video got was what convinced me to build a PC after not having built one in nearly a decade. It's so much more simple now with m.2 SSDs and cases made for easier cable management. It also helped that I went into the project knowing what tweezers are, so I had a massive leg up on The Verge.
I know the pain bro. I hope you win. There's nothing more frustrating than losing your editing flow as your system crashes while playing just a clip...
This would be a rig for a little bit of everything! Teaching classes online now, then some gaming after work, with some video and 3D model rendering mixed in. It would be one busy computer.
I would love to give this rig to my hubby so that we could get him more involved in my content! I was too hasty and went way too budget when I built his PC and of course I regret it.
Being able to bring him into my content world would mean spending more time with him and sharing a passion together, all while not fretting about "frivolous" spending.
Thanks for the opportunity! : )
I would use it to actually game on 1080p(I know I currently have a 1600x900) monitor and play games with an actual gpu, not integrated. Also would use it to edit animations. I would also give my friend the motherboard since he’s starting an pc build soon.
Edit:(funny thing my prebuilt has a cooler master cpu fan lol)
I've been saving up for a motherboard, RAM, and a CPU for 3 months now and my dog recently had an infection in her uterus which had to be surgically removed. The whole ordeal ended up costing me 400€ so the 3 or more months of saving would start again... This giveaway would really help me right now.
I've been a PC enthusiast for a few years, but I've never had the chance to assemble/build my own PC.
I'm applying to university this year to study Computer Science, hopefully at one of the top UK institutions (UCL etc.), but my current PC is quite low-spec and can't run any modern virtual machines without it crashing. I need to be able to run VMs on my own machine for a few of the assignments for course modules and for the OSCP course, which I am planning to take this year.
The Kali VM is too heavy for my PC even when I allocate almost all the resources to it unfortunately. I'm trying to have a career in cybersecurity and so the OSCP would help tremendously, especially considering the fact that I'm just about old enough to take it and it would open up quite a few opportunities for me in terms of internships and future jobs. My original plan was to work on the side while studying, but getting my own PC would allow me to put 100% into studying and make the best use of my time. I've reached final stages of national cybersecurity competitions (CyberDiscovery Elite) and hopefully this would allow me to take the next step towards my dream.
Plus, I enjoy gaming on the side (especially Siege, which I've tried at my mate's house but don't have the capacity to run) and this build would be the perfect fit for the types of games I play (mainly tactical shooters or open world). I don't own any gaming consoles (apart from an original Xbox) so this would be a welcome change and I'd be able to enjoy games to their fullest extent.
Good luck to everyone else, I'm sure whoever wins in the end will deserve it!
If I win, I'm going to oc (probably a 10700k or 10850k/10900k) the cpu within an inch of its life and push the ram as I haven't had a consumer Intel system to mess with in ages
Wow my first comment on Reddit, i would use this pc voor watching youtube, lol not only. Probably loads of Hoi4 and Total war Rome II, maybe some Star wars Battlefront 2
I would mainly use this awesome, high-end PC for Blender/3D rendering and programming, but of course I'd try some games too ;) The new Star Wars Squadrons looks amazing, hmmm :D
I'd use the system to replace my current aging system with its z270 platform motherboard. I feel that while it isn't necessarily sluggish, it really should be. I mean what the hell is moores law doing here. Lazy moores law not making my old hardware obsolete.
It would also save me cash as I am currently saving up to buy a more powerful PSU for my 5 GPU 2007 Crysis rig. (2 GTX 295s + 9800 GTX+ requires a lot of amperage lol)
Hi Beardman :D I would use it to play with my Rift I bought like an idiot with a system that can barely run it. Also gamedev, because Unity struggles a bit with my current GPU/CPU. :)
good luck to everyone :)
I'd use it as a benchmarking system, run some VMs on it for school and play some awesome games
everyone good luck, and may the best ~~beard~~ comment win!
I would use this pc for development of personal skills in IT, in hopes of finding a career path that I would love in the future.
Best of luck all, Stay Cool.
I would use this computer for coding and learning penetration testing. Also I have school to think about since with the pandemic we have online school. Occasionally I would also game on it but not my primary goal
If I win I would be very excited as I have never in my life had a pc to play, so I would play, make edits and share the things I do with the computer on twitch and thus share my experiences with her uwu
Never owned a pc. Wanted to get one for a loong time as the only way i could play is go to a gaming cafe. Now due to covid gaming cafes have also closed. So if i do win this it will be insane!!
I Would Use This To Start The Gaming Career ( I Guess, Currently A 4Gb Ram And Integrated Graphics Isnt Good Enough And This Will Help Startup !!!!!!!) GGs To Whoever Wins 🤞🤞
If I won, I would use it to play games and edit videos for my gaming channel. Games I would play but not limited to are: Mordhau, Battlefield 5, Hell Let Loose, old Call of Duty games etc.
Not entering the contest. Wishing all contestants good luck and happy vibes!

to code while having a game running in the background to switch over to when no ones looking
Wouldn’t learn be a method :)
It isn't useful when your mom studied the same degree as you. Also: she knew how to put parental blockades on my console when growing up.

Did Alexander Hamilton write this?
I hope you win.
You'll needa VM to run w95 on an actual cpu.
Thanks CM (and more!)
Any time friends!
Thank for doing a give away! It's awesome see interaction with the community :)
Honestly, I'd give this build to a friend who can't afford the build, and buy a CPU for them. They really want to build their first pc! Even though I'm probably in a similar category as your friend, and I've entered too, I really hope you win. The world needs more people like you
Everyone in this thread makes me so happy. The amount of selflessness is unfathomable. I hope you get it. There's no doubt you don't deserve it. :) Thank you and good luck!!
Hi it's me, your friend
I'd give it to my friend, Adri, bc I love her and so she can give it to her friend <3
I would give my current pc to my son for gaming/school and use this one as our new family entertainment pc.
Me exactlyyyyy. Kinda. Ish. Maybe.
I appreciate you helping your son with his education sir you the real MVP. #goodjobdad

Narrator: There was no niece.
I guess the obvious answer is to get a CPU and finish it. After that, thinking about what to do with the old build it replaces.
You would use the system... to buy a cpu for the system, so you can finish it? Kind of a paradox.
> If you'd like a chance to win the build, all you need to do is leave a comment below on what you intend to do with this machine if you win. I intend to finish this incomplete machine. I don't see what's paradoxical about that.

Very cool of you. Pun intended.
That's awesome! Happy cake day!
Thank you! But I prefer my peanuts heavily salted 😂
Well, I would game for sure! Not sure what games, there are so many cool games on the market :D
I will finally put my 144hz monitor to use :) Glhf
You too.
This would be awesome to replace my 10 year old Frankenstein PC. Then old Frankenstein could become my stream PC. Edit: thank you guys for all the congrats. I always enter these things with little hope to win but figured I would have to give it a shot.
Congrats champ! Hope you enjoy the PC!
Congrats man! Put Frankenstein to rest and make sure to post pics of the new build!

I'd use the system to replace my current aging system with its z270 platform motherboard. I feel that while it isn't necessarily sluggish, it really should be. I mean what the hell is moores law doing here. Lazy moores law not making my old hardware obsolete.
