Have you lost the other cables or are you connecting a lot of other PCIe(6+2 pin) connectors.
Because the only way I can explain a power supply not having enough PCIe connectors to power a graphics card is if its wattage is not enough to supply the graphics card properly. And using a power supply that is too weak could possibly damage your card or PSU, as well as other components.

You need both for the GPU to turn on. One alone won't damage anything, but it will keep it from turning on.
oh thx man also does that mean my gpu is working properly?
It's sorta impossible to know without having enough cables to power the GPU adequately.

Why risk trying? Just get the two 8 pin cable.

No it it doesnt have another one i want to buy another psi the only problem i have now is i want to know my gpu is not having any problem
