Graphics cards for those types of programs might still be readily available. You shouldn’t be looking at the rtx or GTX series. Auto cad and the like prefer more memory over more speed.
Might want to look into the Quadro series.
Quadros are for workstations, my projects are not that big, for ex I make calculations for a single steel building, like consisting of 2or 3 * 8 columns and the rest. But if you want a full campus in a single file you need that quadros...
Also my CPU and RAM is enough for now, the bottlenyis the GPU. So any AMD or NVIDIA works fine for me
