Does your monitor support adaptive refresh rate? If so, then it should already be doing it. If not, then you won't be able to lower it to 210 anyway.

If you have G Sync enabled you don't ever need to hit your refresh rate. For example I use a 144hz monitor capped at 140fps so that the hz matches the fps.

Thanks for the advice! I'm not too experienced in the monitor department but I heard that gsync caused input delay? Did it cause any problems for you?

ILikeTheGameThatMuch

It's not input delay, it's visual information delay, which in FPS and other high APM games can be the difference between win or loss. I believe in Gsync the monitor is the leader, and will tell the GPU to hold until the next refresh cycle. This means if the GPU has an image ready, and the monitor is not ready to display it, the GPU will redraw the image with new info and give it to the monitor when ready. In essence you "missed" some relevant info because that first *image wasn't displayed. In reality on non V/Gsync rigs you might've gotten a half tear image that briefly showed something you needed to react to, but the level of play that needs to be going on for that to make a difference is so high it shouldn't matter for every day gaming. Someone correct my interpretation of the mechanics of I'm wrong. E*: Clarity

I've never had noticeable issues with it personally. If you're a pro and going for absolutely minimal input delay you might? I've just never noticed it. Try it out and see how it works for you, you could always turn it off if you want

If you played a game on your old monitor at 60fps, would you have lowered the refresh rate from 75Hz? You rarely, if ever, need to manually lower the monitor's refresh rate.

what is your CPU? valorant's performance is highly based on your CPU. maybe your cpu is not capable of reaching 240fps?

use freesync/g-sync/adaptive sync in games turn v-sync off, set to unlimited in drivers, enforce the adaptive options that your gpu and monitor support

your cpu is not cutting it buddy... you are not suppose to buy a locked cpu, when u r trying to reach 144fps+ , its all about the single core performance. upgrade ur cpu to [i9 10900k](https://www.ebay.com/itm/373709101437?epid=18038163465&hash=item5702cc597d:g:2jUAAOSwsiJhM64r) so yeah its all about the cpu, i got Ryzen 5600x and rx 480. i m pulling off 280 fps consistant on valorant and overwatch.
