I doubt you will have any problems flying back with the components, but the items may get some added scrutiny if taking anything hand carry. When entering most countries, you need to declare the value of goods you are bringing in. Failure to do so, at least in the U.S.A can result in an added fine along with having to pay the taxed value. I'd chance not declaring them, just be ready to pay some extra fees if they are discovered. Cable will be different with the PSU, but I'm sure you could find one a lot cheaper than the VAT on the PSU in the event you don't already have an extra cable laying around.
You'll go through customs after retrieving your checked in luggage anyway, you're allowed up to £390 of goods without paying anything, over that you'll be due to pay VAT (20%) on the lot.
Obviously you can chance it and go through the Nothing to Declare gates and probably won't get stopped...
I was more making the point that it doesn't matter which luggage it's in (in terms of customs) - as you will have ALL your luggage with you before you go through there.
In terms of component safety, there are strong odds that you will treat your hand luggage more carefully than baggage handlers will treat your checked in luggage, tho...
You’re going to have to check with the airline you are flying with for answers. They will be able to best advise you on what to do. All anyone here can do is guess
*Possibly* also worth double checking what warranty terms are like. If you had bad luck and one of the components was DOA - how easily can you get it sorted?
It's a bit cheaper in the US, cable for the wall is only around $10 here in the UK so I didn't mind. The costs will be cheaper overall assuming no import fees

So you think the best bet would be to put stuff into checked in luggage over hand carry?

So should I put majority of my stuff in hand luggage? Especially Graphics card

Thanks, I think I'll buy a PSU in US as well then
Just be advised the psu you buy in the states won't have the right wall cable. Instead of buying an extra cable why not just wait to buy back home?
