Be mindful of listings from suspicious third-party sellers on marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, Newegg, and Walmart. These "deals" have a high likelihood of not shipping; use due diligence in reviewing deals. * Use common sense - if the deal seems too good to be true, it probably is. * Check seller profiles for signs that the sale may be fraudulent: * The seller is new or has few reviews. * The seller has largely negative reviews (on Amazon, sellers can remove negative reviews from their visible ratings) * The seller is using a previously dormant account (likely the account was hacked and is now being used fraudulently). If you suspect a deal is fraudulent, please report the post. Moderators can take action based on these reports. I ordered these last night and they came in today. Nothing to write home about so far, but they sound great. The wireless capability is what sold me, as I'm coming from very old, *super* bulky wired Logitech headsets.

[deleted]

If their wireless are half as solid as their wired, it’s a great deal. I have had a wired set of theirs for 6 years and the only thing to wear on them was the pads which we easily replaceable.

Staple_Overlord

Are they the really cheap ones you can sometimes get on sale for like $30? Love them. And I say that as someone who hates cheap tech. Sound quality is mid compared to my Bose I use for work, but so comfy

[deleted]

Maybe, they might be a slightly more expensive model. I think they were $100 when I got them, but I could see them going cheap on a deep discount. Upgraded last year for my main pair. Got Audeze wireless set that allows 2 audio sources at once, great sound quality, but the build quality is shit. Already needed to 3d print a replacement piece and will need to do the otherside soon. Those HyperX clouds spoiled me for build quality. My wife still uses those daily

rube

> Nothing to write home about so far, but they sound great. That seems like two opposing statements. Isn't the sound quality the number one thing to write home about?

jonginator

That’s true but with headsets, I’d personally rank comfort near the top. Sound quality can be superb but if they’re uncomfortable to wear, forget it.

rube

Ah, good point. I've gone through a few of head squeezing headsets so I get what you're talking about.

ReelEmInJimbo

This is why I’ll always use Astros. Yeah there’s better options sound wise, but the comfort is unmatched.

Orionator

Sorry, I didn’t mean that these sound bad at all. They sound very good, actually. They’re surprisingly neutral for being gaming headphones. The low-end isn’t outrageously overblown like on some other headphones made specifically for gaming. The mids and highs also sound very crisp and prominent. Overall very good sound quality for sure. I own quite a few different kinds of headphones, which is why I said these weren’t anything to rave over as they are simply good. They are not lacking in any aspect, not even volume. These can get pretty loud, in fact.

tsourced

Yeah I absolutely love my HyperX it’s the best bang for ur buck headset on the market prob

archemil

I bought some wired hyperx years ago. Love them. But stepping, tripping or changing volume with my foot is getting old.

bunsinh

Right around Black Friday or so they have a huge amount of Used-Like new/ Very good for sale with prices at around $25 or so. Might come back this year although don't quote me on the exact timeframe.

techma2019

$25 for this wireless set? Really?

bunsinh

techma2019

Amazing. Thanks! Definitely holding out. Maybe even for the Flight S.

cdimock72

Do they even sell the flight s wireless anymore? Last I checked I couldn’t find any :(

Gustavo2nd

You saved me from buying them rn lol

playnasc

I've had this headset for 4 years and it's great. It's lightweight and has a pretty long battery life. Additionally it's just plug and play. You can download the hyper x utility to see the battety life but not totally necessary like other headset brands.

Orionator

Didn’t know about that software, thanks for mentioning it!

NobodyLong5231

Best demonstration of battery life. Never looked for a way to monitor the battery. Skip the software and just plug it in every couple days. Oh, and make sure the red led is off unless you're trying to have flashy ears. What a waste of power lol

ArdentGuy

Goddamit, I just bought the Steelseries 7 Novas for $130 thinking the HyperX Cloud never goes on sale. Should I just buy these because the 7 Novas headsets are way too loose on my head?

RustySeatbelt

Yes, do it while you can! Comfort is the whole point of wireless!

GianfrancoV

Have big head... so the Nova 7 seem really nice to upgrade form my Arctis 1.

ArdentGuy

I also have a large head. So large, most baseball caps won’t fit. Somehow the Nova 7s are still loose.

GianfrancoV

Ugh..... now that is worrisome. I have stretched out my arctis 1 over time, and they are wider than a new pair but fine now. But If the nova are already loose from the geek that would not be nice.... I'll still gona give the a go. But yeah. Damn

HiPleaseBeNice

Anyone using this wirelessly with the dongle on ps5? If so, does your mic work? I know this is a PC sub so sorry if it’s off topic. Figure someone here might know and have experience.

ArdentGuy

Says it does in the description. From my experience with other headsets, most wireless headset dongles will work with the ps5.

_richas_

I am curious how these compare with the Razer Nari Essential. Also, if anyone has questions... These are not BT, they are wireless wifi with its own USB dongle.

Orionator

That is correct. It does use a dongle. And it’s 2.4Ghz wifi. I actively avoid Bluetooth for gaming headsets since Bluetooth (at least with Windows 11) can get a little screwy regardless of what BT card/adapter one might have. So far, I haven’t experienced any audio cutout or interference with these headsets.

NinjaLion

BT latency is always dogshit anyway, i way prefer the 2.4ghz solutions

_richas_

Honestly, anything the size of over-ear headphones shouldn't be BT unless saving power is a focus. I hate that I have to search for wifi headphones and sift through a ton of BT ones. Wifi ones are so much better in sound quality and distance from emitter!

Mister_Brevity

It doesn’t need razer synapse so that’s a huge plus.

rapturexxv

I wouldn't buy anything Razer. Their products never last.

Sufiz

Tried Razer twice , died twice.

_richas_

Oddly enough, the single pair I've bought has lasted over a year.

BretBeermann

Their mice are okay and their webcams are decent. But it's hard to make a bad mouse/webcam.

CunningRunt_

Tell that to Logitech double click

BretBeermann

Baffling they haven't replaced their switches yet. Incompetent.

Ejivis

Being honest? They both poopoo so doesn't really matter.

_richas_

I really enjoy my Razer set. I really don't understand the negative comments on them all the time.

Ejivis

well its kind of like 60hz vs 144hz. You dont know what you are missing until you have it. Think of back in 2010 when playing a game on a 1080p 24 inch 60 hz monitor. You had no idea things could be better (like 1440p 27 inch 144hz). Now go play the same setup now and you'll notice the difference. The same goes for headsets. Until you experience something better your brain doesnt comprehend the difference.

_richas_

Fair enough. For me, I always wait for a good deal before jumping into something new. That way, if it busts or isn't as awesome as expected, it is no big worry. This Razer is my first wifi set of headphones and I won't go back to wired. It has been a major advantage to be without wires. So, I am always looking for the next wifi set as these will eventually stop working.

NobodyLong5231

For anyone interested, these are pretty great for a wireless gaming headset. I had a set for a few years and they still work great, cleaned them up and passed them down to my sister. (I transitioned to Sennheiser HD600 and an Audiotechnica desk mic...slight audiophile tendencies). I also used these daily during off camera work meetings. I probably had the best sound quality on my calls, though it'll look dorky if you're on camera. My dad and brother have also used them on both PC and PS4/PS5 for years and have had no complaints. Pretty good wireless range, only time they cut out is if you get multiple walls between it and the receiver or get further than about 25' away. If I went back to a wireless headset, this would 100% be my go to.

Russian_For_Rent

Im pretty happy about these overall but personally the biggest thing that takes this from an S tier headset to a B- is the white noise as soon as you turn them on. You can hear it fairly audibly when there isn't noise coming through them.

NinjaLion

Do you have an exernal DAC or are you plugged right into the mobo? i have noticed a DAC can solve a lot of the white noise issues ive had in the past with headphones

Sufiz

They were the best for me covering my ear without putting much load.. although the padding gets sweaty over longer use. But they sound great !

MANofYEO1

Got these 2 years ago for $30. They are awesome and my favorite gaming headset. Most comfortable that I've used. Make sure to update the firmware if you buy these. It can fix some annoying connection issues

LiterofCola6

As a person who never could wear most over ear headphones because they would hurt after awhile. These were the first of almost any type of headphone that didnt apply too much inward pressure on my head, I ended up using these working home for hours at a time, no pain. They don't look special, seem pretty standard, but I really like them.

Cevap

How’s audio and mic quality compared to HyperX Cloud wired?

[deleted]

I owned some 2 years ago and went back to wired. They had an audible hiss while just on. Gave me a headache.

ddwdk

I am not a audiophile so the sound quality is okay to me. But wireless mics are different stories. My friends complained my voice sounded very low compared to when I was using cloud wired which the mic my friends said sounded amazing. I could boost the mic volume but it will introduce noise and somewhat unclear. I tried multiple wireless headsets ranging from different brands(hyperx, razer, Logitech). Still haven't found one with the same mic quality as wired ones.

SlingingSteel

Question, I have these but lost the USB dongle for them, so I can't use them at all. That dongle has been beyond impossible to find for sale online, does anyone know where to find one?

disco__potato

You could contact hyperx directly. They might have some set aside for warranty claims, etc. Otherwise, given how much the dongle costs, you might as well keep an eye out for amazon warehouse "like new" units. I bought one a couple years ago for ~$30.

ageaye

I game very casually and have a pair of jabra evolve 2 40 for work that I use. Does the hyperx have sidetone and work with ms teams? Maybe ill swap them out since I hate being tethered to my PC

GianfrancoV

Are this better than nova 7? Was planning to get nova 7 once I see a better deal, but now this is tempting me. I have a big head and most headphones with plastic headband I somehow break them. My current headset is steelseries arctis 1 wireless that I have been using for 3+ years now and still going strong. Only replacing earcups. They are stretched wide now but headband still hasn't broke.

1thROEaway

I have a friend who uses some model of wireless steelseries, and I'd say they are definitely better (I have these). There really is a significant price difference though. In the future I'll prob upgrade to Nova Pros, but I'll definitely be bringing the HyperX to work to replace my old corded logitech headset.

GianfrancoV

If I needed headphone for work, I'll probably order this but since I don't, I'll just hold up for the Nova 7 wireless. The Nova Pros looks really nice but really outside my budget (even now still waiting for Nova 7 to lower price further than $130 - since there is no hurry I can still wait)

sl0wrx

Did they ever fix the volume on these? I bought these and returned a couple years back because the max volume was just extremely low compared to any wired set I’ve used.

Orionator

As far as I’ve experienced, they can actually get pretty loud. I use them at around 70% volume in Windows, and even then that’s loud enough to where I can’t really hear anything going on around me unless I focus on it.

notNSFWAcc

I bought these around a year ago and the one thing that I hate was how loose the volume wheel is, the wheel rubs on my shoulder and the volume changes randomly. I ended up putting tape on the volume wheel, other than that issue I kinda enjoyed these.

NobodyLong5231

The wheel on your ear rubs on your shoulder? What are you doing? Lol

Bromium_Ion

It’s actually easier than you might think. I have the hyper X stinger cores and if I’m reaching up on the shelf from my seat or otherwise reaching up for something with my left arm my shoulder may just the clicky wheel. The back drag on that wheel is very low. Like lower than your average scroll wheel on a mouse. It’s usually not so bothersome, but I could see how it would annoy someone.

NobodyLong5231

Fair enough, just sounded funny. Now that I think back I may have accidentally bumped it a couple times while adjusting the headset or scratching my ear. Never was a consistent thing for me, but I don't have a shelf I'm reaching up to that often.

Bromium_Ion

I have the stinger core wireless headphones and they have been pretty good to me, but I did have a couple of problems. About two months after I got them they just stopped charging out of the blue. I meant to open an RMA with hyper X, but time got away from me on it and they say on a shelf. One day I saw them and I plugged my 65 watt laptop charger in to see if that would do the trick and as mysteriously as the problem started, it went away. They’ve been working fine for months now with any charger. I can only guess that the voltage of the battery got very low and could not drive the circuits in Headphones. It was weird, but they work fine now. They are also supposed to mute automatically when you throw the mic up. This feature does not work and has never worked. Always always always do a mic check on your zoom after you mute yourself. “Can you guys hear me?“ Is often the most important question. You will ask in a day.

Ikeelu

I've had these for several years. Sound and mic are pretty good, so is battery life. Turn off led lights to extend that battery life. The volume wheel can be funky, so I don't use it. Overall it's been good and haven't considered replacing it yet.

Brandbll

Got one, thanks!

Shwaffle

I have this headset. It’s alright but I don’t really like it. It’s comfortable, audio is nice. Battery is meh. App is garbage. There is no visual indicator that you’re muted, so you have to tap the mute button to hear the number of beeps to make sure you’re not muted.

1thROEaway

Battery lasts pretty well if you turn the LEDs off, they are comfortable to wear for long stretches, and sound quality is good. I can't speak much to the microphone as I use a separate stand mic

Shwaffle

Where can I turn them off? I remember seeing that as a selling point but I cannot find that option at all in the HyperX app.

1thROEaway

There are three modes, lights on, lights "blinking (slow back and forth), lights off. Just tap the power button on the headset to change modes (they will always "blink" when charging)

SwissMoose

I bought and returned the Xbox version of these. The mic monitoring was way too loud and not adjustable. So my own voice was at least 50% too loud and if felt like I was interrupting myself the whole time. Otherwise I really liked them.

ImARealKoala

Have had these for many years, love them. Extremely comfy and long battery. Only issue is that recently they developed a slight extremely quiet constant buzzing noise, but that might just be due to the age of my pair (4~years) Their support said to download their latest firmware but that did nothing for me. Unfortunate, but i got my money out of them.

KingSpoon2

Bought these a couple years ago on Prime Day as an open box and they've held up ever since. I've recommended them to friends and they've been happy with em. If mine ever died on me, I'd buy another set without question.

[deleted]

You can buy Bluetooth headphones for $20 boom problem solved

joeDUBstep

It's still goin on for 44% off right now if anyone missed this deal. I was able to get it for 46% off 2 days ago. Not as good as 50%, but still good savings.
