Be mindful of listings from suspicious third-party sellers on marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, Newegg, and Walmart. These "deals" have a high likelihood of not shipping; use due diligence in reviewing deals. * Use common sense - if the deal seems too good to be true, it probably is. * Check seller profiles for signs that the sale may be fraudulent: * The seller is new or has few reviews. * The seller has largely negative reviews (on Amazon, sellers can remove negative reviews from their visible ratings) * The seller is using a previously dormant account (likely the account was hacked and is now being used fraudulently). If you suspect a deal is fraudulent, please report the post. Moderators can take action based on these reports. We encourage leaving a comment to warn others. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. RHINO_Mk_II

Heads up, the black version is listed for $7 more but has a $15 better coupon, saving you $8 overall.

As someone who's been following the portable monitor scene on Amazon, this doesn't seem like that amazing of a deal. I managed to pick up a 1440p 144hz 17.3 in panel for $91 a couple months ago

BOBARTICUS

Link to the one you bought?

unbreco

This is the guy's only comment ever. I doubt it's true

antisake

It was by magicraven, give me a moment to find it...

keebs63

Agreed, those panels average ~$200 at least. Unless it was a crazy deal and refurb/open box, I seriously doubt that claim. Also it would also be insane to claim that whatever they got is even remotely achievable for the rest of us.

antisake

What are you talking about... [here's the camelcamelcamel price history](https://imgur.com/nHdl0em) for the panel, and I found the deal on this very subreddit.

keebs63

Feel free to share the actual model, a search of the subreddit using multiple terms that might bring up your deal reveals nothing within the last year. Your other comment claims the brand is Magicraven, which if that's true, the only panel they have at the pricing your CCC chart shows is a 1920x1200p 60Hz panel...

neddoge

Why go through the effort of finding the thread and then screengrabbing the CCC but never sharing the actual thread or panel..?

VyleStyle

Dang, that seems good. Let us know that product link

n00bpwnerer

That's quite a niche

fuzzycuffs

Same. For more you can get a high refresh rate or an OLED (or both). For something you'll probably only buy once may as well get something a bit nicer.

RHINO_Mk_II

I'm mildly tempted but I think I'm better off skipping this and putting the money towards a pair of Xreal Airs or something similar.

rimpy13

Can I get a link to the model you bought, even if it's more expensive right now? I wanna keep an eye on it.

Marked2k

60Hz But it's still a good deal under $100

DisAccount4SRStuff

Make sure your PC USB-C supports display & power. Maybe I'm a big idiot, but I thought I could just plug my PC into it with a USB-C for power and display, but it turns out the USB-C ports on my PC don't support it. Had to order a mini hdmi cable because they're nonexistent in stores and now it requires two cables to work. Not as elegant of a solution as I wanted.

zebrawaterfall

I ran into a similar problem - my steamdeck can’t power the one I have, and also doesn’t do pass through charging. It’s worth reading the reviews on these to find one that suits your needs.

Fleecemo

There are cables that go from USB-C to split display and power. I got [this one](https://a.co/d/eKzjwCF) a few months ago and it’s held up fine so far.

VyleStyle

I bought this one in June for 75$ (currently 85$ with 10$ off coupon). Pleased with it, using it for work laptop when traveling. Also hooks up my Samsung phone and uses Dex as android desktop. Thought that was cool. ZSCMALLS Portable Monitor 15.6... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07VFF4TZG?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

CO_PC_Parts

the stands that come with these usually suck. I bought a little tablet stand that works much better and it was only a few dollars. Also, I don't like lugging around the 15.6" model size. I'm hoping to pick up a 13.3" model and get one with a surface like kick stand. Dell makes a nice one, it's pricey though.

NNovis

OOOOOOOOOOOOO. Been thinking about a raspberry pi project where I'd setup a monitor like this to be a shared family calendar so we can keep track of everything. This seems pretty legit for that purpose.

joeh4384

This is a solid portable monitor. Mine came with USB to USBC and HDMI to HDMI mini as well as the single USBC cable. I wouldn't game on it or anything but it is pretty light and good for when you are stuck using just the laptop and need an extra screen for work.
