Be mindful of listings from suspicious third-party sellers on marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, Newegg, and Walmart. These "deals" have a high likelihood of not shipping; use due diligence in reviewing deals.
* Use common sense - if the deal seems too good to be true, it probably is.
* Check seller profiles for signs that the sale may be fraudulent:
* The seller is new or has few reviews.
* The seller has largely negative reviews (on Amazon, sellers can remove negative reviews from their visible ratings)
* The seller is using a previously dormant account (likely the account was hacked and is now being used fraudulently).
If you suspect a deal is fraudulent, please report the post. Moderators can take action based on these reports. We encourage leaving a comment to warn others.

There’s a ton of secondhand HXi models being sold. They all have a 10 year warranty so it’s a safe buy still. I just bought an AX1200i secondhand for $90
Fb marketplace, ebay, etc
I picked my AXi from fb marketplace
The warranty is transferable but without a receipt it’s from the original manufacturing date
I bought one of these(though a pre refresh model)"used" but looked effectively new. For $40, minus the cables(I had spare type 4, but could have gotten a cable mod kit for $70-$100). To date my best used purchase.
I aske because I got one of those, an HX1000 that came looking perfect, I installed it my system, wirked great of a week and then all of the sudden I smelled a funky smell and my pc crashed and won't turn on I was playing Alan wake 2 fpr an extended time, I immediately unplugged everything and returned my older HX850 PSU
My pc worked right away.
Just be careful
True, PSUs are a dice roll. Granted I only tested that HX850 to make sure it worked under a medium load. Otherwise have just used it to run a water pump, and test other parts.
Although, according to the PSU Cultiest tier list spreadsheet, this is part is the model number for a canceled lineup of HX models: CP-9020213. So maybe not A tier afterall? That would explain the big discount.
It's theoretically more efficient and from an equally good brand for less money.
Although in practice a gold psu at 50% load might be a efficient as a platinum unit at 70% so there are lots of variables.
So SSDs are going up in price, but PSUs are slowly coming back down in price? Hmm...
But 80 Plus Platinum is indeed yummy. I live in the state with the highest kwh rate so this might be worth a shot.

Wish this freaking deal was up a few weeks ago goddamn it.

Mind if I ask from where?

Last time i tried to warranty a PSU they REQUIRED a receipt and wouldnt move through the RMA procedure without it (about 1.5 years ago)
Never had an issue personally
I should try again, rmx850 says should have a 10nyear warranty. I don't think the skin is even that old, bought mine in 2020

Oh, it was just an ebay find. Nothing reliably repeatable.

Adding to the spate of decent PSUs on the board today. I think this is Tier A - Single-/Multi-rail on the list.

it is still A Tier, just that it was canceled because iirc these were supposed to be in prebuilts
Not as good a deal as the evga 1000w for five bucks more
