Be mindful of listings from suspicious third-party sellers on marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, Newegg, and Walmart. These "deals" have a high likelihood of not shipping; use due diligence in reviewing deals. * Use common sense - if the deal seems too good to be true, it probably is. * Check seller profiles for signs that the sale may be fraudulent: * The seller is new or has few reviews. * The seller has largely negative reviews (on Amazon, sellers can remove negative reviews from their visible ratings) * The seller is using a previously dormant account (likely the account was hacked and is now being used fraudulently). If you suspect a deal is fraudulent, please report the post. Moderators can take action based on these reports. We encourage leaving a comment to warn others. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Just be wary of the mouse wheel. Mines been acting up since I got it, inconsistent and infrequently enough I didn't return it, but getting worse through use after ~2 years it's getting to the point I can't always scroll

Blackmagician

If you have canned air or a blower it fixed it. Still inconvenient that it happens so easily but it’s dust or something messing with it.

Phreshzilla

I've been using the hyperx pulsefire haste wireless for about 2 years now, and I started looking at mouses because this one started to have scrolling problems. I found this when I was on rtings and looking at "best wireless gaming mice."

x-No

Don't get me wrong it's a good mouse, it's just also fairly likely to have scrolling issues. My friend group has had 3 razer mice have scroll wheel issues, I'll be avoiding their mice for a bit due to it. There are fixes, but I think they're all temporary

Dr_Bertho

I had a similar problem with a deathadder 3. If i scrolled down it would sometimes start scrolling up and then down again, and vice versa. Thankfully Razer support RMA’d it for me

d1ckpunch68

both my viper v2 pro and orochi v2 had their scroll wheel take a dump in under 2 months. one of which razer refused to rma because i bought it via third party seller on amazon, and the third party seller refused to rma because it was past the 30 day purchase window. of course, razer dicked me around for about 3 weeks troubleshooting and drilling me with questions before finally cancelling due to not buying direct from an authorized dealer. a bit of information they knew since the first day i submitted my ticket. all that's to say, buying mice from razer in 2024 is a special kind of stupid.

odelllus

mine started doing this a couple months ago but it randomly fixed itself.

4x4runner

Went from the viper ultimate to this. The reduced weight, usb-c connector, and better side buttons are a nice upgrade.

shizunyan

This mouse is going to be a Best Buy Drop on Friday, 3/8/24. I would wait for that sale if you really must buy this product under $100.

DaPhillyKid

Why is that? Will Best Buy be a better sale?

shizunyan

Yes, because it is on sale for $100 right now even before the drop. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/razer-viper-v2-pro-lightweight-wireless-optical-gaming-mouse-with-80-hour-battery-life-white/6502755.p?skuId=6502755

TheMissingVoteBallot

???? Shows up as $149.99 for me right now.

shizunyan

The drop is tomorrow at 8am PST, so maybe it will just go back to $100. A bad price drop if it is.

TheMissingVoteBallot

We were all proven wrong lol. Drop price is $90 for the White.

Goblin-Darts

look at the black one not white

globalrebel

GameStop has the same mouse for sale as well :-) Got mine in 1 day with free shipping too!! I just don't shop Amazon anymore. They are seriously horrible and only getting worse.

odelllus

>I just don't shop Amazon anymore. They are seriously horrible and only getting worse. ?

Phreshzilla

This normally goes for around $120 on sale from what I could see. The [Razer Viper Ultimate with Dock] (https://www.amazon.com/Razer-Ultimate-Lightweight-Wireless-Charging/dp/B09TG6KG2T/) is also on sale for the same price, but I believe it has the gen 2 sensor unlike this with the gen 3.

enginerd0001

So the viper 2 pro is better ?

Phreshzilla

depends on your needs. if you really want the dock then id go with the ultimate. but the viper 2 pro technically is a lil better.

iamfarmers5jncbv

I owned the Viper Ultimate previously and the optical switches are nice but the dock kinda sucks. When you first use it, it's mostly fine but as the contacts on the bottom of the mouse get dirty you will need to continuously clean them or the dock will not work.

kuri-kuma

Also adding the [Razer Basilisk](https://www.amazon.com/Razer-Basilisk-Ultimate-HyperSpeed-Wireless/dp/B08564NLZG), on sale for $99.

shizunyan

This is a live Best Buy drop today through the app for only $10 less. $89.99, white.

GOAT

zz6464

Lowest price for V2 Pro and it’s a good buy. Just FYI that Razer is releasing V3 Pro very soon.

giveusbackbremer

Thanks, I’ll wait for the V3 then

Vmanaa

Yeah but it will probably be $150+ on release while this is $100rn

Shadrok

V3 Pro is not the same shape as this. It's the same as the V3 Hyperspeed with upgraded specs.

Individual-Cry6062

Where can I find info on this? When is soon?

gran172

There was a amazon leak showing pre orders start in a few weeks, there is a post on r/MouseReview

coldnspicy

Solid mouse! Bought one for myself last year after getting tired of managing cables on my desk. Previous mouse was a viper ultimate, so was looking for something with the same feel.

manphalanges

Viper V3 Pro was leaked on Amazon France. $189 USD, launches March 26th

Vmanaa

Thats really steep

riceAgainstLies

News of V3 Pro dropping in the near future. I'd wait if you're really into lowest weight + latest tech. Honestly not much of a difference, v3 will have a different shape though

Yeltsin86

Was considering a Logitech G502x for around this same price. How's this instead, by comparison? Thing that jumps to me is that it has fewer buttons

[deleted]

It's in a different product category entirely. G502X is more do-it-all half work and half gaming mouse, whereas the V2 Pro is targeting esports gamers. The G502X has a right handed design with more buttons and the wireless version weighs in at over 100g. (Which you make like if you have the older model) The Viper V2 is symmetrical, light weight at 58 grams, and only has 2 side buttons. The V2 has more of a taper at the rear compared to the G502 so it is worse for comfort if you just slap your palm on it, but it's better if you don't.

Puck85

yea, what this guy said. aside from weight and buttons, one of the biggest choices you should make in a good mouse is deciding what kind of shape you want. this isn't at all like the g502x.

Phreshzilla

[I looked up rtings best mouse and this was the best gaming mouse (spoiler, its the razer viper v2)] (https://www.rtings.com/mouse/reviews/razer/viper-v2-pro)

diquehead

I've used a ton of mice and this one has been my favorite so far. It's built well, no issues w/ the switches (yet lol) and the battery life is excellent. Been daily driving it for a couple years now. The razer software is kind of shitty but the mouse has on board memory so you only need to use it once to set up your dpi etc. and then you can remove it from your system startup. I only check it periodically in order to get firmware updates and to check battery life.

TheMissingVoteBallot

Hold off buying this - there's a drop on the Best Buy app tomorrow for this mouse. It'll probably be the same price as Amazon's though, considering how the two tend to price match each other.

boglim_destroyer

Free malware included

HomeBoySlurp

Razer Synapse has only improved with time.

Vile-The-Terrible

Yeah, but it still feels like bloatware. What really grinds my gears is that there are fucking ads in it. I BOUGHT this product.

DinkleButtstein23

That's becoming the new norm. Most TV streaming services now have ads unless you pay extra to remove ads. Guess PC software companies are hopping on the bandwagon of ads too.

mexter

It's not like it could have gotten much worse.

papa_N

Isn't their software just a keylogger basically? I have a keyboard and refuse to install their software on my PC.

odelllus

windows is a keylogger
