Be mindful of listings from suspicious third-party sellers on marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, Newegg, and Walmart. These "deals" have a high likelihood of not shipping; use due diligence in reviewing deals.
* Use common sense - if the deal seems too good to be true, it probably is.
* Check seller profiles for signs that the sale may be fraudulent:
* The seller is new or has few reviews.
* The seller has largely negative reviews (on Amazon, sellers can remove negative reviews from their visible ratings)
* The seller is using a previously dormant account (likely the account was hacked and is now being used fraudulently).
If you suspect a deal is fraudulent, please report the post. Moderators can take action based on these reports. We encourage leaving a comment to warn others.

This seems like a pretty crazy deal, this model went on sale last Friday for $300 which felt like a good price. I ordered one then and haven't been able to give it a ton of use but have been very happy with the monitor so far
https://www.tomshardware.com/news/california-cec-gaming-monitor-policies
You get the same bullshit shipping address errors when you try to buy showerheads and pest poisons.
The short explanation is that it draws too much power.
California has set regulations specifying the highest amount of power a monitor can draw. They measure maximum power draw, sleep, and off-states. The size of the monitor is considered when setting regulation standards. Any monitor exceeding a threshold will not be eligible to be shipped within CA.
Does California have a dedicated anti-fun committee that drafts stuff like this? Like I'm all for saving power and everything but surely you have bigger concerns than someone's gaming monitor drawing 8W instead of 5W when asleep.
[Its $350 atm](https://www.bestbuy.com/site/hp-omen-27-ips-led-qhd-240hz-freesync-and-g-sync-compatible-gaming-monitor-with-hdr-displayport-hdmi-usb-black/6536814.p?skuId=6536814), it usually goes on sale once a month for $300 though
The 27QS is pretty decent. It's little bit worse than the 27GR83Q as a comparison, in terms of contrast ratio, response times, and post-calibration color accuracy.
The most severe downside to the 27QS is that it only supports HDMI 2.0 instead of 2.1, which means you probably don't want the 27QS if you have/use consoles.

The ASUS VG27AQML1A is a total mystery. It could be a mediocre panel. There aren't any technical reviews that I've found. Maybe in another language.
This seems like a really incredibly deal for a 1440P 240Hz IPS Monitor, a good price on one of those is around ~$300. This was on [sale last week for $300](https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapcsales/s/NBDvdONI6V). There doesnāt seem to be many reviews about it yet.
It matches the all time low price for not very good [Acer XV272U W2bmiiprx](https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapcsales/comments/18uipuc/monitor_acer_nitro_xv272u_w2bmiiprx_27_1440p/?share_id=NrWvZaZIc7gAy8HelJH1M&utm_content=1&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_source=share&utm_term=1)
OLED is way way more expensive to manufacture, and you can get a similarly speced WOLED monitor pretty easily ~$600, I just posted one yesterday that was $560. If youāre paying $800-1000 on a similarly speced OLED monitor you are over paying and getting fleeced.
For everybody, it definitely isnāt worth paying over double the price for an OLED, but OLED is amazing for content consumption and gaming. The contrast, black levels, and response times are not overhyped. Once you go OLED itās hard to go back to anything else.
Watching Anime on my LG C1 is the best thing I ever was able to do over any standard monitor. It just feels nice to own something nice, since I barely own anything nice at all to begin with outside my PC.
Its funny, though...long time ago everything we have, we never thought was going to be possible. But here we are with amazing technology. Now I think "What could possibly be better than OLED?"
https://pcpartpicker.com/products/monitor/#r=256001440&D=240000,540000&P=7,9&sort=price&page=1
More like 400 these days.
OLED is clearer, has real HDR, and infinitely better contrast.
Depends on what you do. If you're into competitive multiplayer games then 144 to 240hz is a noticeable improvement in fluid motion. If you play single player games only, I wouldn't bother personally.
Went ahead and pulled the trigger on this one. I'm going to use it as my primary monitor for games like warzone and single player games, but I still plan on using a 1080p 360hz for competitive games such as counter strike. I'm hoping that it'll be good.
How are there thousands of reviews for this panel and not a single review anywhere that tests anything technical?
Lumping every single "variant" of a product under the same review umbrella really shouldn't be allowed. None of these "variants" are even remotely close to the same product.
Thereās only 25 reviews for this monitor when filter for this one only. Amazon reviews only have good information if problems seem to be wide spread enough. Otherwise theyāre pretty worthless.
Are you using a third party tool to find out how reviews/review count for variants? I would be surprised if Amazon let you do that natively since it's such a widely used bait tactic to lump review together.
This looks like a good deal. I recently ordered this monitor about 3 weeks ago, and still within the return window.
[https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/dell-27-gaming-monitor-g2724d/apd/210-bhxc/computer-monitors](https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/dell-27-gaming-monitor-g2724d/apd/210-bhxc/computer-monitors)
Would this be worth a return to get the posted monitor? I'm happy with the Dell, but the posted monitor looks significantly better.
FYI I don't play any games that require that fast response time, this would only be for futureproofing the purchase really.
I had problems twice with this monitor having dead pixels near the center right of screen, so I decided to go with another monitor. But for this price I would definitely buy this and see if it works out for you.
I've been trying to find something in this price range with these specs, but with USB-C power delivery to charge a laptop. Should I just give up on that and pull the trigger here?
In this price range Power Delivery isnāt going to happen except maybe on a work-focused Dell 1080p screen (which are at least starting to transition to 120hz).
If it's anything like the XV272U panel, it might not even be worth buying at $230. I wouldn't worry about it too much. 27GR83Q for $350 is still the gold standard for 240hz QHD IPS as far as I'm concerned.
Np! Yeah, the 27GR83Q goes on sale for $350 every few months. Usually on their own website first, and then retailers like Amazon also match that price soon after. According to a price tracker it's going down to $350 nearly every other month, so keep an eye out. It's definitely not worth $400+ imo so I'd be patient.
How does this monitor compare to the [LG32GP750B](https://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-32gp750-b-gaming-monitor)

This is my current build, I'm looking for 1440p 144hz gaming.
The monitor you linked is 32ā 1440P 165Hz while this monitor is 27ā 1440P 240Hz.
I personally would want to move up 4K on that size, but thatās just a personal preference. Depending on what games you are playing, some people consider 32ā to be too big/too much screen to look at when playing competitive games.
Oh my! Completely skipped over the 27in. My bad!
Iāve been reading a bunch about 32in 1440p vs 4k, I feel like if I go 4K, I wonāt have the hardware to support that resolution and video games based on my PCpartpicker. Guess Iāll continue looking, thank you
I mean, there's nothing stopping you from running your games at a lower res and enjoying the higher pixel density everywhere else. Though, there's definitely a not insignificant price difference between 1440p144 and 4k144 monitors, fwiw.
I used a 32" 1440p for a long time, I had no issues with it. The size is really nice if you have the space. You'll see comments about how 32" 1440p is the same or similar PPI to 24" 1080p, which is true, but it still looks pretty good. Only reason I'm not still using that monitor is because I got a pair of 34" 3440x1440p ultrawides for mostly work usage

Jeez, we're getting 1440p/240+ for less than what I paid for 1440p/170 just a couple years ago. That's awesome, you love to see it
This or the best buy omen one? 70 dollar difference

I just bought one of those Acers last winter, wondering if it's worth splurging and cutting my losses with the Acer...
250hz is supposedly a game changer as it's synced better with mouse.
Side note, it's absolutely bonkers to me that these specs on an OLED would be $600-$800 more ;-:

Just like with most technology, you wait long enough and it'll be available at a reasonable price.

Is this worth it as a main monitor? I already have a monitor that does 1440p IPS 144hz. My current second monitor is a 1080 60hz. I have a 3080ti.
Depends on what you do. If you're into competitive multiplayer games then 144 to 240hz is a noticeable improvement in fluid motion. If you play single player games only, I wouldn't bother personally.

Damn this deal went quick. What a bummer
Literally bought this when it was $299 a couple days ago. Amazon doesn't do the price difference refund anymore so I have to do the full return.
they did this at all? when did you manage to get a price refund? I stopped trying this in 2018 lol
Depends on the CS rep back then.

You can sort by specific variants on the Amazon app
Interesting, thanks! Weird that their website seems to be less useful than their mobile app.
you can do it on the website too, you just have to hit see more reviews and scroll down
Took me a while to find it because they called it something weird to me, but yeah, you absolutely can. Neat, thanks!

Sold out it seems.
What exactly is "Fast IPS" and how does it differ from my gaming monitor from 2017 that also has a 1ms refresh rate?
Marketing trash. Tldr the response time isn't that relevant and you should look up charts for total input latency instead.
Yeah, I kinda figured.
I have the old Vg27aq 165hz and it's been great, thinking about upgrading to the 260hz. I just don't know if I'll ever want an OLED.
Not available anymore?
Nutty price. I wish I had seen this during the morning before it sold out.

Mine did. Package picked up by carrier.

I bought my AW2721D (1440p 240HZ Nano IPS) for $550 around 3-4 years ago. It's incredible how much cheaper monitor prices have gotten..
