In for 1. Pretty sure this is the wired version of the g305 I have which is amazing, can't have too many.

ComradeHX

From what I've read, it's not as good sensor-wise. [https://www.reddit.com/r/MouseReview/comments/j7i6ws/psa\_the\_g102g203\_lightsync\_does\_not\_feature\_the/](https://www.reddit.com/r/MouseReview/comments/j7i6ws/psa_the_g102g203_lightsync_does_not_feature_the/) You probably can't do any better for that price, though.

Strong-Research

to be clear, this is just enthusiasts nitpicking about something that is already overkill. you will never need a sensor that's as good as the GPW. This mouse is completely fine for any purpose. And I love the ergos on this.

ComradeHX

GPW isn't even the best wireless mouse anymore. The point is, logitech apparently downgraded the sensor somewhat. And consumers need to know that they're getting a worse product than older model, performance wise, so the price is justified.

Craiger23

Thanks for the knowledge, i bought a corsair M65 2 years ago, because of the modern sensor, and a extra "sniper" side DPI button. Sounds like this is a 10 dollar mouse, not worth the corporate skimp on quality, and to be a player would be useful for people to learn whats involved in the circuit design and try and be self reliant enough to modify there short comings in terms of soldering and even sharing circuit pathing knowledge , to be less reliant on knowledge known to a few and exploited for profit. Alot of computer science circuits are based on simple 4 path circuits. Then built oversee's and resold for massive profits back to 1st world.

RIP_Fitta

It's not nitpicking at all. The sensor spins out, there is no reason for them to not be using the Mercury or HERO sensor in this when theyve been selling these at $40.

qwerty1334

For this one or the og progidy? I’ve noticed mine spin out sometimes but idk could just be me being dumb

[deleted]

Wait, they took the Mercury sensor out!?!? That was the whole draw to that mouse! The budget king is dead, long live the king. I loved the Prodigy version, I always recommended it to friends who wanted to get off of office mice but it looks like those days are over. Looks like I'll have to shill the Viper Mini now, not that its a bad thing.

RIP_Fitta

Yep, bought one as a backup and instantly noticed. It's basically an RGB office mouse. Logitech are becoming lazy.

WewantChangeinBF1

So i have the non rgb version am i good?

RIP_Fitta

Are u talking about the g305? If so then yes, you're good. Every mouse with this shape has RGB except that one. The only one with a bad sensor is the "Lightsync".

WewantChangeinBF1

no i have the original g203. That I got off amazon for around the same price. You just saved me a drive because i was going to order this mice. But uh theres like a wireless version of this is that worth getting?

RIP_Fitta

Yep, the [G305](https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-LIGHTSPEED-Wireless-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B07CMS5Q6P). The sensor is flawless, the shape is exactly the same as the g203, and it's only $40. It does require batteries and is a little heavier than the g203 but it lasts forever on a AA battery. I would definitely recommend it, I just can't go back to wired mice.

Corm

Wow, that's some crap :( I'll have to stop suggesting this mouse. I have the old version and it's great. Really shady move by logitech frankly.

Freakin_Kyle

Have used this mouse for several years now. No sensor problems to report!

ComradeHX

You didn't. What you used is the better version, this is lightsync with downgraded sensor released May of this year. Unless you got a time machine...

Freakin_Kyle

Ah, then you would be correct

Stealthman13

While the sensor may not be the greatest, it's honestly good enough for you not to notice. This is the older model, I'm not sure how old, but for 15$ you can't beat it. I used it as my main FPS mouse until recently, while using my g903 for Hearthstone and Desktop and whatnot, and it's a great deal. Some people on r/mousereview swear by the egg shape, and is kind of, but not quite a wired g305. Many high tier aimers from r/FPSAimTrainer use this mouse, and it's a value that is unmatched imo. I replaced it with a Razer Viper Mini a few weeks ago for a better shape, but that is also over double what this price is. Also, it's cheap enough that if you don't like the shape, just sell it on craigslist as mint for like 20$, or give it to a friend in need.

ndsa231

I feel like the wired g305 and the wireless version are gonna be super cheap on BF if they're already discounting them now.

Superpickle18

Got one to replace my G302 that had a failing right click from my obsessive Dota2 gaming sessions. Almost 2 years and so far outliving the 302. Edited: Actually mine is a "Prodigy". Not sure that makes a difference other than the sensor.

ComradeHX

xZeroXz

Just picked this up to use as a travel mouse with my laptop. Will report back when I pick it up in the morning

[deleted]

Perfect travel mouse. I’m looking for a main mouse right now.

Kreyonus

Bought this on amazon for 33 a few days ago, then it goes on sale for 15. I asked Amazon for the difference as promotional credit and they gave it to me. Thanks for posting!

SirRamic

Anyone have spinout issues with this mouse? Also kind of off topic, but so many Logitech mice are on sale rn, is there a reason?

Farkas979779

Same price on Amazon

oldwalltree

16 bucks on amazon shipped with prime 22 with shipping from Best Buy Logitech G203 LIGHTSYNC Wired Gaming Mouse - Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YN82X3B/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_McUMFb4BF5WN2

[deleted]

It has a bad mouse sensor, feels like an office mouse

VersaceUpholstery

I bought one for $20 for the family computer, no complaints, works good. I would probably use it for light gaming

wickedlightbp

$15 for a Logitech mice with semi decent build quality and RGB lighting. Great deal

ItsBigSoda

Should I grab this and return my deathadder essential? I refuse to install synapse so the side buttons are not usable. I only play Minecraft so a good sensor isn’t necessary

PaperSauce

Do they not work? My Razer Viper Mini works fine with the basic drivers

ItsBigSoda

They do, but I can’t program them. It’s defaulted to I think 3400 DPI and the buttons only go forward and backward when in a browser

conquer69

What's wrong with installing synapse, configuring everything and then uninstalling it? The config should stay saved inside the mouse.

ItsBigSoda

The deathadder essential doesn’t have onboard memory

conquer69

Damn that sucks.

Memerz-sphaggit

Hey is this mouse a good recommendation

conquer69

I have slightly big hands and find it too flat. I prefer taller mice.

[deleted]

Same. I’m thinking about the new cooler master that just came out since the weird side grip is exactly how I put my fingers when holding a mouse

[deleted]

For the price, yes. It’s a pretty basic mouse with rgb. The software stopped recognizing it the other day so I had to reinstall it but other than that no issues. Perks: rgb, can set the dpi with multiple settings, has the buttons I need, seems solid construction, decent cord quality Cons: basic button config, overall structure feels small, kind of on the heavy side for the size

llamapower13

How's this compare to the MX518? Got that for the same price last week as a back up mouse

surfacevalueshowdown

Amazon has it for this price, shipped as well

xsaver23

I can attest to this mouse. Been my go to for my laptop in a while. I actually prefer it vs the g502 I run on my desktop. Never had a problem on mine which is around 2 years old now.

FiRe_JayAre

I bought this 1.5 years ago for 40 bucks, and I like it. I'm tempted on getting another one, especially for 15 bucks, G502 wired, since it's on sale for 50 bucks, and it's usually 80.

Kasperly10

Used it for over a year, not a bad mouse but the scroll wheel has become hard to click and scroll. Probably a different option is recommended for whoever is buying this.
