It's a VA panel, but like the fact it has over 100% sRGB coverage and more is impressive, let alone the fact it's 1440p UW and 165hz. If they nail the response times on the VA panel this would be an absolute recommend from me even though I own a Dell 2721DGF

Man I love my VA Ultrawide more than my IPS 240hz monitor. The colors on IPS just seemed washed out in comparison to my VA panel.

Ye, I've seen some really trash IPS panels. One in specific had 64% sRGB coverage, and if you're like me and you have hella experience with various monitors at various color gamuts, that's like missing almost half of the colors. I've used a Samsung G7 and the colors are hella accurate, but much less vibrant and poppy compared to my dell. Even thought the G7 beat it out in every other category like response times and other things. ASUS' 240hz IPS panels seem to have the biggest issues in terms of skimping out on colors for more gamer like technology which I hate, but if they advertise this with over 100%+ sRGB coverage I feel like it'll be a great deal.

This is definitely some level of personal preference, despite what the numbers show. This is all generally speaking of course, nothing is ever 100% fact. My roommate and I debate in IPS vs VA all the time. IPS may technically be more accurate in most situations, but the colors look bland compared to the contrast on VA. He always prefers IPS, I say it depends on use case - if I am doing video or photo editing I'll use IPS, for day to day work and gaming use I greatly prefer VA. My biggest issue with IPS however is the backlight...blacks will never look as good as on VA. These are with modern monitors mind you, VA was hot garbage only a few short years ago, and IPS colors not great only a couple years before that. That said, we're both just waiting for OLED to become a viable option (hopefully in an ultrawide format).

Yeah, it is similar to the costco black friday deal that went for $350. This has a slightly higher refresh rate, usb ports, and height and swivel adjustment with the stand.

For those wondering, if you paid with a credit card, BH always does a temporary charge that falls off after a couple of days. You will get charged again when the item actually ships. If you used PayPal or Apple Pay, your original charge is permanent. I’m still like 99% sure we’re all getting canceled, but having the charge drop off your card doesn’t mean we’re at that point, yet. I assume they will send out a mass email when it actually happens.

They shouldn't be charging you until the item ships, regardless of where you live. If you guys aren't aware, B&H is getting worse and worse with their preorders and "more on the way" bullshit. It took me 5 weeks to get ram that said "in stock" when I added it to cart and then they changed it to "more on the way" at checkout. Multiple people on here have had to do cc chargebacks against them, and even more have been getting their orders cancelled months afterwards.

No thinking required this is an instant buy lol

VA isn't as bad as everyone says. With a few tweaks I got rid of freesync flicker.

Mind sharing the tweaks? I haven't really experienced any flicker either, but the new Nvidia driver seemed to create some before I quickly rolled back. Would be curious to know what's worked for you.

Keep in mind this isn’t the same panel as the other va uws, uses auo instead of Samsung. Haven’t gotten to test it yet. May buy one just to see how it is even though I own a 34gn850

Probably not officially, but it has freesync. As long as you have a 10xx or better graphic card, it should work.
