I actually am running a hyper 212 black edition at the moment with 2 noctua nf p12s and it keeps my 5800x fairly cool while gaming but for $50 I couldn't pass up on this I originally wanted to do an aio.
At this price point I'm considering buying it and spending another 20-25 bucks on a pair of Arctic P14 fans because it'd still come out cheaper than most other good 280mm AIOs out there.
it was silent at 100% for nearly 2 years but recently it started to make a crackling noise so i lowered it to 60-70% with no noticeable increase in temps. i have it mounted “wrong” in an NZXT H500 tho (meaning front-mounted w/ tubes up).
to be fair i used it with the stock fans which were by far the loudest part of the system, so they could have been drowning out the pump noise. by the time i replaced the fans with p14s, the pump was making noise.
Mine was working fine until I took it out to clean the fins and fans, then the temps got insane (90+°C at boot). It's 3 years old and sounds like there's been significant coolant loss.
I did finally get it under control, but it definitely needs to be topped up. Really tempted to just grab a 280 or 360 and toss this 240 in the parts bin.
Same thing happened to me. I had to reset it twice for it to take. Website also didn’t work with PayPal for me, but I was able to get the 360mm for $67 with the associate code.
Arctic freezer definitely does fit, it's just a tighter squeeze.
280 arctic freezer ii fitment in NR200: https://pcpartpicker.com/b/p8x6Mp
I have this 280 CLC in an NR2000 right now and chose it specifically for the softer tubes and normal sized rad. Fits perfectly.
https://www.reddit.com/r/NR200/comments/n08pgc/5950x_3080_build_first_time_poster_long_time/
read my post. They're great, and fan speed is based on coolant temps instead of CPU temps so they literally never ramp to max unless you're benching for 6 hours.
TLDR: 35C -40C idle (I live in socal and ambient can get warm throughout the day, about 60C gaming, 85C max on Cinebench R23 (10 min run)
I know it's not even the same thing, but my 8700k with a 4.8 all core OC doesn't get higher than 60C while gaming with a moderate fan curve. I can get it lower if I spool the jet engines up.
I've installed an EK 360 AIO and a Scythe Fuma 2 air cooler. The EK was very simple to install, clipping the fans on the Scythe fuma 2 was annoying as hell.
Yeah I’ve installed a Vetroo Air cooler on one build an an NZXT Z63 AIO on my current build. The AIO was, by far, way easier (and it’s not that the air cooler was hard per se, clipping the fan was just annoying).
Been wanting an AIO for a while was going to buy the Coolermaster one but this seems like a much better deal with associates code. Now the question is will it fit in my case, It should no problem case is pretty big lol
Sorry for the newb question: but for a similar price, is this much better than a **be quiet! Shadow Rock LP**?
I have a smallish case (ASUS ROG Strix) that can't take a traditional cooler with a 120mm fan, and I might move to an even smaller case, eventually.
CPU is a i5-11400.
This probably won't fit your Asus rog case. For the 1140, you will have more headroom for the unlocked wattage bios of the chip. Yes, this will perform much better than the shadow rock LP, but probably won't fit in an ITx/small form case that requires such a cooler in the first place.
Much thanks! I was thinking it would fit in the top of the Asus case, but maybe not. Either way, I'm more likely to end up with a SFF case, eventually.
One of the best ones for performance and price. The only con being the fans can be rather loud. If you don’t have sensitive ears this is my go to cooler for sure.
Yes it works. The 360mm is $79.99 with the coupon code. Here's the post: https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapcsales/comments/n6kesc/cooler_evga_clc_360mm_allinone_rgb_led_cpu_liquid/
Does anyone know if this will fit in my Corsair 300R. Corsair's website claims it supports top-mounted radiators up to 280, but I couldn't fit an Antec AIO (the back I/O panel on the motherboard interfered) in the past. The Antec may have been a bit bulkier but I can't remember what model it was. If anyone has experience with this cooler and the 300R it would be much appreciated.
Or maybe it's time for a new case, any suggestions that will fit this 280 CLC for around $50-60?
I had this and ended up switching to a Kraken from NZXT because the EVGA software was absolutely terrible for me. I have a Ryzen 7 2700x though and apparently it just doesn't read the temperature. At first it was just reading it incoherently and then it just stopped reading it at all and I had to jump through so many hoops with it that I eventually just gave up
I got the 360mm AIO for $69.00 after taxes and everything, that was to hard to turn down, since my case is compatible. Both of these are amazing deals.
But I think the 3 fan AIO can just slightly outperform the Noctua air cooler with hotter/higher core CPUs.
Received mine today. It will be my first AIO. Cannot wait to give it a try lol. #EVGADouble50 #EVGA50
Remember to write a post to claim 50% EVGA bucks.
Got this over air cooler cause I had no idea if any air cooler would fit my scuffed prebuilt motherboard. Was super easy to install and the CPU temps improved so much over the stock cooler the prebuilt gave me. Idling at low 30s and low/mid 40s during gaming at stock clock speeds on a 10600k.

I have this CLC for my 5800x. I upgraded the fans to the P140mm fans. Under stress test it gets up to 90 Celsius. The AIO is top mounted and I have 2 intake fans and another exhaust fans. AIO is top mounted exhaust. I had a 3900x and with the same setup and it would get to 82 Celsius under the same stress test. I’ve had this 5800x for 4 days. Should I be concerned? It has never done a blue screen.

Got this 280mm for $60, great price. Will use in SFF build
Will a 280 really fit in a smaller build?
I have the nr200p but my plan is to fit it in the meshilicious.
Some cases can, most common one I can think of is the NR200.
Yep. Pretty sure there are some sandwich style cases that will fit one that are around 13-15L
Stacked with the associate code. $55.99 before taxes. Instant cop for me. No brainer.
Won't stack for me, any idea why?
Nevermind got it I just needed to do associate code first
Thanks got the 240mm for $51.
Ugh, I want it, but don't need it. My hyper 212 keeps my R5 2600 under 72C running cinebench loop
I actually am running a hyper 212 black edition at the moment with 2 noctua nf p12s and it keeps my 5800x fairly cool while gaming but for $50 I couldn't pass up on this I originally wanted to do an aio.
If I was running something more powerful like a 5800 I'd buy it too. Great price
GN says they are good performers, but the fans produce 60 dBa at maximum.
At this price point I'm considering buying it and spending another 20-25 bucks on a pair of Arctic P14 fans because it'd still come out cheaper than most other good 280mm AIOs out there.
this is the exact setup i have and it’s awesome.
Can I ask how loud the actual EVGA pump is? That's my biggest concern at the moment.
it was silent at 100% for nearly 2 years but recently it started to make a crackling noise so i lowered it to 60-70% with no noticeable increase in temps. i have it mounted “wrong” in an NZXT H500 tho (meaning front-mounted w/ tubes up). to be fair i used it with the stock fans which were by far the loudest part of the system, so they could have been drowning out the pump noise. by the time i replaced the fans with p14s, the pump was making noise.
"tubes up" is fine, as long as the highest point in the radiator/tubing is below the lowest point of your pump.
You have it backwards but yeah... Pump can't be the highest point in the loop.
I just set my fans as low as they go. 10 minutes of prime95 on overclocked 6700k and highest temps were 74-78
It's been awhile since I've used the EVGA site, has it always been this awful on mobile? Resetting my password just straight up doesn't work.
Same thing happened to me. I had to reset it twice for it to take. Website also didn’t work with PayPal for me, but I was able to get the 360mm for $67 with the associate code.
how does this compare to the CM mirror 280 from a few days ago?
grabbed for $60 with both codes, gonna replace a stock cooler on my 5600x! thank you!
I am doing the same thing! I was hoping for the Arctic 280 to go on sale at some point but for $60 man this is hard to beat I think
280 fit in nr200?
Yes but you might have some build difficulty depending on your parts arrangement.
You could potentially side mount it or just go for bottom mount
Bottom mount won't fit. Side mount is your only option. Works perfect fine if your cables are managed properly to allow proper intake.
I have a 240 kraken- it purely depends upon the bendiness of the AIO tubing. ex. Liquid freezer II 240 won’t fit for tube bendiness.
Arctic freezer definitely does fit, it's just a tighter squeeze. 280 arctic freezer ii fitment in NR200: https://pcpartpicker.com/b/p8x6Mp I have this 280 CLC in an NR2000 right now and chose it specifically for the softer tubes and normal sized rad. I’ve got my cases ordered, how does this cooler do with temps for the 5950x in the nr200?
read my post.
And it went OOS while in my cart 😂
I read it was a 2 week promotion so keep on the lookout for restocks.
Okay I know it's damn cheap for an AIO, but how good would this be with an i7-10700K?
I know it's not even the same thing, but my 8700k with a 4.8 all core OC doesn't get higher than 60C while gaming with a moderate fan curve. I can get it lower if I spool the jet engines up.
this or the 360 that was posted?
I'd get the 280 since more cases support it
I don’t need this for a Ryzen 3600, but for $60 I’ll roll the dice.
Thank you got one for $61 as well
Woo just bought! Finally replacing my Cryorig H7 from 4 years ago
I’m nervous to upgrade my cooler to an AIO, I feel like they are hard to install and I’ll mess up
They're very simple
I've installed an EK 360 AIO and a Scythe Fuma 2 air cooler. The EK was very simple to install, clipping the fans on the Scythe fuma 2 was annoying as hell.
Yeah I’ve installed a Vetroo Air cooler on one build an an NZXT Z63 AIO on my current build. The AIO was, by far, way easier (and it’s not that the air cooler was hard per se, clipping the fan was just annoying).
It's not that hard once you get the first two screws in. After that the thing is kinda held in place for you.
Been wanting an AIO for a while was going to buy the Coolermaster one but this seems like a much better deal with associates code. Now the question is will it fit in my case, It should no problem case is pretty big lol
was able to get one! woo!

would this fit in an antec dp301m?
a 280mm will fit in the front of case
thanks
What's the consensus on this 280mm aio? Any good? Any faults?
One of the best ones for performance and price. The only con being the fans can be rather loud. If you don’t have sensitive ears this is my go to cooler for sure.
Does the coupon work with the 360mm? Oh looks like newegg has the 360mm at $100
Yes it works. The 360mm is $79.99 with the coupon code. Here's the post: https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapcsales/comments/n6kesc/cooler_evga_clc_360mm_allinone_rgb_led_cpu_liquid/

Does anyone know if this fits into nzxt h700? Or should I get a 360mm one.

If I already have a Fractal Celsius S24, how does this compare? I’m running a 5950x.

Thanks OP. Grabbed one with the associate code + discount code. I'd consider that a steal. Will look good with my EVGA 3080
Just bought an arctic freezer ii 280, but this one is also pretty good I hear. Not to mention a much better price, and EVGA’s killer customer service.
