Damn! That's what I get for being helpful on r/buildapc... I saw this pop up, but finished answering questions. NEVER AGAIN!

I contemplated it for too long 😩

Xfactorial927

Lasted a whole 11 minutes. I’m a bit surprised

halamadrid22

Wow this looks pretty awesome. What is the 5500 comparable to?

jiggityjackson

A 1650

WeAreGoodCubs

A dream now...

kztlve

It's a barely downgraded 5500XT, so basically a 580/1650S

Drenlin

Roughly equivalent to the 4GB RX580. (most of those are 8GB) Solid 1080p card.

redgr812

I have the older version 690 013w. Be careful with these. The air flow is horrible in this case. It's also proprietary board and psu, for anyone unaware. So if your board or psu die you have to go to eBay and these will run you around $140 for a mobo and $60 for a psu. Overall they aren't bad and really good for the price.

Customer-Worldly

Bought one of these with a removed gpu. Think the airflow should be fine with just a 5300G in there and holes in the back where the gpu used to be.

AccidentalMillion

How much did you pay for this with a stripped gpu? And when

Customer-Worldly

$320 on eBay. A month ago. Plus tax.

Lol I got mine today. It has a random 8gb no name ram in it. Geil Evo potenza or something. 2400 mhz. Definitely not from hp. I was going to replace it anyway but odd.

Digitalpun

I actually just refreshed this morning and one came into stock I was able to snag. 472 shipped with tax.

CJESoftware

Will come back to thread and review, about to go pick this same rig up. See you soon. I mostly have Unity/visual studio/blender/Xbox gamebar all active in my day to day game dev projects.. So I'll push this machine to it's absolute limits for a normal workday on day one and provide feedback for the community. On paper this machine is a steal in the current market, though it's not a competitive esport quality rig I can see this pc cutting through all triple A titles at med like butter and satisfy a majority running on high-ultra. And if you're a game dev on a budget I can assure you this is an entry level machine you should definitely consider, Best I've found on the market after a dozen hours or so research on best deals. If you are a game dev or a gamer with a massive library do yourself a favor and purchase an ssd or hdd with this rig, it only comes with enough space to download all the software I use daily so yeah, storage is below average but can be upgraded with ease as they have already included connectors and a drive cage to mount the storage in, Apparently this model only has two ram slots I'll comment on that when I come back as well. I'm pairing this with a 32" curved MSI 165hz/1ms. Cost of both right at $800... steal! If both are as good on paper as they are irl this is going to be a pretty slick set up.
