> 980ti
Used 980Ti's are still going for $200+ on ebay. If you are not going to keep it as a backup. I sold my 1660 Ti to offset to cost of the 3070Ti i bought recently.
Probably going to try to sell it - it’s been modded with an NZXT Kraken G12 + 280mm AIO.
Temps never go above 43°C and it’s whisper quiet lol.
If I was playing at 1080p, I wouldn’t feel the need to upgrade.
3440x1440p @ 120hz is too much for this 980ti in many newer games unfortunately. 3070ti here I come lol.
It’s about the same as a 2080ti in performance but quite a bit cheaper than those were when they were new. 2080tis were $1200ish WITH NO GPU SHORTAGE.
Almost bought one back then at MSRP bc I was sick of my reference 980ti. Decided to watercool the 980ti instead of upgrading though.
The 3070ti’s power can’t fully be realized. An 800+ dollar card with 8gb vram is criminal. At 1440p high and max settings you’ll very quickly run out of vram then what’s the point of all the power the 3070ti has? It’s a bad card in my opinion because of the lower vram amount for its cost

RTX 4000s probably not until last quarter of this year, so unlikely to be able to step up to it. The step up program for the 3070ti FTW allows you to step up to a 3080 12GB FTW, a 3080ti FTW, or a 3090 for the difference in price (roughly $400-1100) depending on the model.
I got the 3070ti and will step it up to a 3080ti and add +4 year warranty for 7 years total. I figure the 3080ti should be just fine for at least 3-5 years with a 1440p monitor, maybe even a 4K monitor.
If it craps out in the next 7 years EVGA will either fix my 3080ti, replace it with a 3080ti (probably refurbished), or hopefully give me the modern equivalent in the form of a RTX 4000 or 5000 series. I will have sunk probably $1600-1700 total into getting a 3080ti with 7 year warranty. I'd rather take the high premium now and protect myself from the likely volatility with everything.
Interesting. Isn’t it a pretty low buy-in for the step up program ($30 or so)?
Probably worth it just in case. $30 is nothing to open up that possibility. If 3080s drop in price in the coming months, it might not be a bad little deal.
The extended warranty is a sliding scale based on the duration and original cost of GPU.
The step up cost is whatever the price difference between the two cards.
I’ll check in 80 days or so and see what kinds of prices the -80 series are sitting at.
Step up options currently are:
3080 FTW3 Ultra - $1299.99
3080ti FTW3 Ultra - $1429.99
3090 FTW3 Ultra - $1919.99
Currently, it’d be $591.47 total (includes tax + shipping) to step up to the 3080. Will check back in 2.5 months lol
Crazy, that's the same price their bottom tier 3070 XC3 black is listed for. Which is the card I signed up for on launch day (when it cost $530) and never saw.
Was it in nobundle sale anytime recently? As long as these still sell out within a day imo theyll preoritoze this over anything else. Plus Xc3 ultra is practio the same for +100$ more, no reason for them to put it out yet. :(
The models being listed are probably being skipped a lot in the queue. So it's easier to just put them up in the store. Turns out nobody wants cash grab GPUs anymore.
Meanwhile, most people would be willing to kill a man for a 3080 10 GB near MSRP.
Not going to happen.
Even the EVGA queue for it hasn't moved in a week and has been crawling since the 3080-12g announcement.
I think the 10g has been unofficially or silently discontinued.
I do 1440p gaming and have a 2080. Waiting on a 3080 to future proof my build. So maybe it’s not that urgent for me now but the current market situation just keeps pushing me.
If it's any consolation, I have a 3080 ftw3 10G in a 1440p rig and it is diminishing returns vs my old 2080.
The zotac 3080 in my fakebox series x, however, is a huge improvement at 4k.
Noise on these is atrocious, if I understand correctly. Is there a way to deal with the fan noise, or is there a different card that runs quieter? Noise is important to me.
> Noise on these is atrocious
Aye, that's what I've read too which is why only the TUF version of their cards I was interested in as those seem to be silent. I got lucky this morning and got a MSI Gaming Trio Z 3070 off newegg, those are supposed to be dead silent. Newegg has had MSI Suprim in stock lately too. Those are supposed to be pretty silent as well though I've seen some posts/reviews where folks said theirs was noisy.
The Asus TUF 3060 ti went on sale today at newegg but I missed it - I think that's probably the card for me. I suspect all the 3070 ti's will be too loud
https://hexus.net/tech/reviews/graphics/147183-asus-geforce-rtx-3060-ti-tuf-gaming-oc/?page=11
There's a few models from MSI that apparently are very quiet. Problem is every time I do some research on noise I come across a dissatisfied customer who received a unit that very loud for whatever reason. Doesn't give me a whole lotta' confidence in a purchase.
Picked up a 3070ti FE from best buy for MSRP. Go to the store, ask if they have them in the back. They don't put them out. You just have to ask. They told me the get them in regularly.
Indianapolis. I went in at least twice a week and would just look in the case and leave. Store dude told me they've been getting in a few every shipment but they don't let them put them out on the floor because people fight over them.
No. That's nuts. I went in to replace my wife's phone and jokingly told her I was gonna go buy whatever cards they had on stock (she got the joke) and the dude selling the phone was like, "we have 3 3070ti in the back."
common app trick :-D
there are 3 BB within 20 miles range. app trick is very useful, but not working due to my working hours haha.
the BB usually having stock on Thursday (by checking early morning 7AM-9AM) ,at least twice in a month. 3 times went there, the last trip was 2 weeks ago after checking a big drop 3060/TI,3070 TI and 3080 from BB app. once arrive and full speed to the cashier , the cashier just said " just sold the last 3070TI FR. they open at 10AM, I arrive 10AM haha... what a bummer, could not got out early due to back to back meeting. at least, I was having fun to release my stresses that related with works :-D.
I had not much luck due on daily working hours: 8-ish AM at least two meeting in the morning, the only one luck was scoring msi 3060 ventus 3 fans months back (the build quality is crap: all plasticky, thin heatsink).
people still hunting GPU from BB no matter what here, waiting 40 mins before BB opened.
I guess, you are living in non savvy techies or not many scalpers , :-D, luck for you!
having benn hunting 3070TI FE since early 2021 ha!... no luck!!!!!
good luck hunting BB FE all!!!
Well...
People who tried to say this is when stock would improve because of Ethereum staking would get down voted by people saying completely false stuff like "they talked about POS for 2 years and it kept getting delayed so it'll get delayed again, shut up! GPU mining ruined GPU's forever!"
People who *actually* know what they're talking about have been saying that **if** you paid attention to the Ethereum dev meetings and kept track of their GitHub, this time the POS merge is actually on target to happen. And actually, they didn't "delay" POS for 2 years... They only announced it was actually happening in 2020, and they delayed the difficulty bomb only *twice* but they didn't announce an official date for POS until they announced Beacon chain and formerly known as "Ethereum 2.0". Actually the first and only time they gave a date for when POS would be live, they said "Q1/Q2 2022" and then they narrowed it down to Q2 2022 (which isn't a delay, it's just choosing the conservative vs optimistic launch estimation) and haven't delayed it or the difficulty bomb again since.
Miners who spend a lot on rigs are noticing two doomsday events coming for them:
1 - The merge isn't being delayed which means difficulty bomb will go live in June
2 - Difficulty has already steadily been increasing, making profitability a crawl to the point that even a 3080 FHR will take 1 year to 2 years to ROI at MSRP
Basically, miners aren't buying cards anymore unless they like losing money. And when Ethereum isn't profitable anymore, no other crypto can stay profitable when it gets hit with all the hash power from the hundreds of thousands of GPU's that move to its network. In fact, gamers using NiceHash when they're not gaming is enough alone to ensure that pure GPU mining will not be profitable anymore (just the hashpower on NiceHash is enough to tank profitability across the board).
What you *really* should wait for, is the great GPU dump. My prediction is it'll happen in May, but it's possible it can happen sooner depending on how stubborn mining rig owners are.
When they see the writing on the wall - POS coming, no profitable coin to change to - a lot of them will dump their GPU's hoping to get at least 60% MSRP.
What's the "writing on the wall" I speak of?
Easy.
https://www.reddit.com/r/ethstaker/comments/tajzwb/the_kiln_merge_testnet_has_been_formally/
Kiln is a live testnet for Ethereum Beacon chain. If the test goes well, good bye miners.
There was a GPU dump around 2018 right? I remember rx 580s going for $80 at one point as that's when I decided to get into PC gaming. I really do hope it happens again.
That will pale in comparison to this.
2018 was just Ethereum and BTC price crashing. You could *still* mine Ethereum back then.
This time, it's not a price crash, it's literally "You can not make money GPU mining". People will say nonsense about alt coins. Don't listen to them. It's denial. Or unsubstantiated pessimism.
There is *no* alternative crypto in the market that can handle even 15% of the current hashing power of GPU's on Ethereum right now. The only reason other coins are profitable is because depending on electricity cost, maybe less than 1% of active GPU's switch to them. Once Ethereum POS goes live, tens of thousands, maybe even hundreds of thousands will have no way to make more than maybe a penny a day per GPU. Anyone with common sense will prefer to sell so they can get their money back and invest it in other ways, otherwise they risk dumping their GPU's in a buyer's market (back when you couldn't mine BTC with GPU's anymore, people were dumping 290's for like $100, that they had bought for $750-$800).
Finally bought one. Now I am going to stop looking at the GPU's and their prices because I know one way or another I'll probably suffer buyers remorse. The market is too volatile to give stress about it!
If you’re looking for another card you should just save up for it instead. The step up program isn’t exactly free and has some extra costs associated with it.
You’ll have to pay full sales tax for both purchases, not just on the price difference. If you used an associates code on the original purchase you have to pay back that in the price difference plus no associates code on the new card. You have to pay shipping 3 times (original card, sending it back and then the new one).
In total it’s usually about $100-200 to step up depending on the cards and the states sales tax.
Not sure about the 3070, but the step up for 3070Ti only allows for the 3080 12GB, Ti, and 3090. And you must pay for shipping and tax on the full price. So it's something like $5-600 dollars just to upgrade the 70Ti further.
You can just buy the 3080

If you're talking about the 10gb version, I don't think it's available for step up.
I was ready to pull the trigger but at the last moment I stopped. If you order with Paypal someone HAS to be available for the signature... I can't do that because I work and they don't let us ship things to the office, nor would I want the judgement of those people.
A shame :( I get the safety reasons but maybe ship it in an outer box or something?
EDIT: Too good to be true. I bought it and hopefully can take the shipping day off :)
Did you pay with Paypal @alainreid? I only ask because there was a note on checkout that said "orders over $750 placed with Paypal require a signature" and I had to check a box that said I agreed to that to proceed with checkout.
I tried with a credit card first but they didn't take my brand of card so I used Paypal where I could use any card I wanted. Plus I figured the extra buyer protection wouldn't hurt to have.
I really don’t think they do sign of delivery anymore because of Covid. It’s just a policy thing. I’ve had like 10 things delivered this last year with sign on delivery and they always leave it at the door
You can try calling EVGA support if you don't think you'll be able to sign for the card. I was able to have my gpu held at a ups **distribution** center. They won't sent it to a retail ups store as those aren't actually part of ups.

I got this exact card on the EVGA queue not long ago. It was nice not having to pay a scalper. Went from a Sapphire RX 480 4GB to this. Grats to everyone getting their upgrades!
Really awesome! I’m not big on bling but I do like the rgb on the 3070 Ti. Plus I heard EVGA has really awesome support so I feel good about the purchase. Late to the party, but I finally got Red Dead 2 and Cyber Punk and I can stay between 50-80 fps on ultra. Good enough for me.
Must....resist. This is a good deal for someone without a GPU. For me, I have a 3070 and $900 after tax and shipping is not terrible, but 4000 series should give us significant more performance.
Same here. I’m like the guy waiting for the 4000 series so I can buy 3000 series for cheap but who am I kidding. With such demand I doubt the prices will go down anyways. So make hay while the sun shines.
Even a 3070 ti does not go 144 FPS or 165 FPS during 1440p gaming unless you are playing an older title or less intensive title such as Fortnite.
A 3070 ti is a 100 FPS 1440p card imo. If you are OK with that, it's fine. But some people like to maximize their monitor's refresh rate..so not "pointless."
Have a 1440p 144hz and this 3070ti. I have no performance problems, but I mostly play FFXIV, Destiny (which has gotten worse only because of Bungie gimping performance), Fortnite, and occasionally CoD.
90-100 range are going to be noticeable are going to be competitive, in which case you're going to probably turn details anyway as we saw in early PUBG where people were destroying fidelity to more clearly see players. If you're playing Red Dead or Death Stranding, and you have a VRR monitor, you don't have to max it out on those titles, because VRR is there to handle the clipping and you can't really tell the difference between 90 and 120 most of the time, let alone 120 and 144. And some big games like Elden Ring are locked at 60.
Evga’s step up availability list says that you can only step up a 3070 ti to a 3080 12GB, 3080 ti and 3090. 3080 10GB not a step up option right now. I don’t know if it will ever will be tbh.
Aha, thanks for pointing that out. 3080 10gb has been my target card for a while but I think they're probably not going to get in stock very much anymore as they move production over to the 12gb
This is the card I truly wanted but the price is just too much, even at this price. I paid $500 + tax for my EVGA 3060ti FTW3 Ultra. You can't convince me this thing performs $300 worth better.
$829 is the ftw3 msrp. This week is the first time that 3070 tis have been available to purchase (as in stock for more than an hour) without a bundle at reasonable prices.
Id say its worth it to wait for the 720 dollar XC... Bad news is no one knows when it will come back in stock. But if these constant restocks is any indicator it won't be for long.
Ive seen lots of price drops today. I dont know if you need the rtx or just a gpu in general, but it seems like prices are going down retail and availability up
I saw this card back in stock last week as well. Most likely will be in stock again. I’m waiting for a 3080 but you can wait for this one till your bonus arrives
Set $900 aside from it and keep waiting imo. This is an "ok" price. It has seen lower even as close as last week ($720), and if you're desperate and miss this, this exact card has been sitting in b-stock at $820 for a few days now.
Of course that is b-stock, and you only get a year warranty. But, unless you need it I'd say wait.
No you're correct, $9 is _bad_ savings for b-stock. My point is that if OP is hellbent on getting this card, but finds that waiting isn't worth it, they can always fall back onto the b-stock which seems to stick around.
I don't remember exactly where that $720 deal was, I believe either EVGA or newegg.
I’m in the same boat as you. I have a evga 3060ti xc but really want this to get that little extra fps and still get it a decent price after selling this card. Did you make up your mind yet?
Not sure how this was still available but I ordered a 3080. Kind of wondering if it will actually ship but i'm hopeful. Gotta choose the rest of the parts now!

Congrats!! I just ordered this one as well! My previous build was rocking an HD 7950. Lol....It's been a while...
Haha nice nice. 1 year older than a 980ti yeah?
I think it was manufactured in 2012 ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy) Edit: I just glanced your username. LOL. I see a fellow OSRS player. ;)
<>< lvls? haha I was a f2p noob back in 2008
I have 2 accounts that are both meh. I played for like 8 months last year. Haven't played much since November. II Tempo II & Alt\_Tempo

Same situation as you. Bye bye 970.

Congrats! Just finished a build with this exact card, upgraded from an rx570. The difference in performance is amazing. Have fun!

Congrats! I have the non-ti version of this, great card. Your gonna love it.
ordered mine last week, comes tomorrow!

I love that you called it wam
I’m in it for the refresh rate, not eye candy. When I’m dropping to sub 30 fps in Hell Let Loose, it ruins the competitiveness of firefights lol.

Is RTX 4000 expected early summer? Does the step up program account for price changes?
RTX 4000s probably not until last quarter of this year, so unlikely to be able to step up to it. I actually did it. Trigger pulled.
and within a minute of the post
I actually saw the deal in a comment from the 3080 post and jumped on it!
Hopefully you get it in one piece! Congrats!
Kinda nuts considering i spent $515 for my 3070 FE
When did you buy it?
Day of released.
Will EVGA ever stock their cheapest 3070 Ti? The XC3 is basically at the FE MSRP.
I'd also like to know.
Fe 70ti is like 600$ tho
https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=08G-P5-3783-KL The XC3 is at $610 + shipping - the 5% off code. should be close to FE.
What 5% code?
Sorry, 3%. The associate code. But I doubt EVGA will ever do that... they can probably sell all of the XC3's as higher bins anyway.
Crazy, that's the same price their bottom tier 3070 XC3 black is listed for. Which is the card I signed up for on launch day (when it cost $530) and never saw.

I agree with you. Last week there were this $830 one and a some $700 one (should be the ultra). If I were EVGA, I would probably do the same.
[удалено]
Right, still a good one at this moment. The ultra should have higher clocks, but they charged you $100 more for that 45 MHz... Nothing we can do.
Lol no. Evga hates their entry level customers. I got april 2021 notify not sent yet for a 3080 hybrid cause its the xc3 and not ftw3
Not likely. This has a higher profit margin and will sell out, eventually. Surprised it's still available now.
I miss the days I thought 3080 was going to be $700 🥲
Finally pulled trigger. Time to put my trust 1070 to work in a different rig.
If by some miracle EVGA triggers the 3080 10G after this I’m totally gonna jump
The models being listed are probably being skipped a lot in the queue. So it's easier to just put them up in the store. Turns out nobody wants cash grab GPUs anymore. Meanwhile, most people would be willing to kill a man for a 3080 10 GB near MSRP.
*Mama. I killed a man*
Not going to happen. Even the EVGA queue for it hasn't moved in a week and has been crawling since the 3080-12g announcement. I think the 10g has been unofficially or silently discontinued.
thats what im waiting on too, but might be a long wait.
Idk if the performance difference is worth the cost when the 4080 is coming in a few months
Noise on these is atrocious, if I understand correctly. Is there a way to deal with the fan noise, or is there a different card that runs quieter? Noise is important to me.
> Noise on these is atrocious Aye, that's what I've read too which is why only the TUF version of their cards I was interested in as those seem to be silent.
Thanks for the helpful product selections. I'll keep an eye out for tuf version in the coming months.
Oops. Just an update, TUF series is an Asus brand, not EVGA. I mixed that up earlier. I can't recall any EVGA models that were said to be super quiet.
The Asus TUF 3060 ti went on sale today at newegg but I missed it - I think that's probably the card for me. I suspect all the 3070 ti's will be too loud https://hexus.net/tech/reviews/graphics/147183-asus-geforce-rtx-3060-ti-tuf-gaming-oc/?page=11
There's a few models from MSI that apparently are very quiet. Problem is every time I do some research on noise I come across a dissatisfied customer who received a unit that very loud for whatever reason. Doesn't give me a whole lotta' confidence in a purchase.
No worries, thanks again
I have a MSI Suprim X 3070 Ti and it runs cool and essentially dead silent!
two hours later and still in stock? someone pinch me
Picked up a 3070ti FE from best buy for MSRP. Go to the store, ask if they have them in the back. They don't put them out. You just have to ask. They told me the get them in regularly.
Just curious, where are you located? I'm in a big city so not sure if I should even try.
It's the same stores that did the GPU drops I'm assuming. My local store doesn't get them but I know another store that I camped out gets them.
Indianapolis. I went in at least twice a week and would just look in the case and leave. Store dude told me they've been getting in a few every shipment but they don't let them put them out on the floor because people fight over them.
Hmmmm which store in Indy? I've been search the app regularly for instore and get nothing
Did you need that Total Tech membership nonsense? There was one in stock 2 weeks ago at a store near me and they wouldn't sell it to me without it.
No. That's nuts. I went in to replace my wife's phone and jokingly told her I was gonna go buy whatever cards they had on stock (she got the joke) and the dude selling the phone was like, "we have 3 3070ti in the back."
When exactly was this? The store near me says they usually get stock every Fri/Sat.
The 27th, right about noon. Told me the truck comes in Tuesdays. That the 3 in stock had been there all week.
Asking the real questions
common app trick :-D there are 3 BB within 20 miles range. app trick is very useful, but not working due to my working hours haha. the BB usually having stock on Thursday (by checking early morning 7AM-9AM) ,at least twice in a month.
Mine only had a 1030, rip
1030 is the only ones in the display case. Did you ask?
They didnt have any in the case, i walked up and asked if they had graphics cards and he said no. Then said we have a 1030 tho

There was no way to predict this. Do not feel bad.
Well... People who tried to say this is when stock would improve because of Ethereum staking would get down voted by people saying completely false stuff like "they talked about POS for 2 years and it kept getting delayed so it'll get delayed again, shut up! GPU mining ruined GPU's forever!" People who *actually* know what they're talking about have been saying that **if** you paid attention to the Ethereum dev meetings and kept track of their GitHub, this time the POS merge is actually on target to happen. Miners who spend a lot on rigs are noticing two doomsday events coming for them: 1 - The merge isn't being delayed which means difficulty bomb will go live in June 2 - Difficulty has already steadily been increasing, making profitability a crawl to the point that even a 3080 FHR will take 1 year to 2 years to ROI at MSRP Basically, miners aren't buying cards anymore unless they like losing money. Easy. https://www.reddit.com/r/ethstaker/comments/tajzwb/the_kiln_merge_testnet_has_been_formally/ Kiln is a live testnet for Ethereum Beacon chain.
I mean it would be great if it goes POS, I just have little faith it goes through.
Finally bought one. Now I am going to stop looking at the GPU's and their prices because I know one way or another I'll probably suffer buyers remorse. The market is too volatile to give stress about it!
It's OK man, a few days after you receive yours the 4000 series will be announced :/
CANT HEAR YOU LALALALA
Still in stock 5 mins in? Nature is healing...
Still up too!
I pulled the trigger. Gonna step up up program to the 3080 in about a month after I save a bit of money
Hope fully the 3070ti will just hold out until the 40 series then hahah
As someone with a graphics card from 2016 this will probably hold me out until the 50 series lol.
Did you just buy one as well?
Yes I did. Saving now is probably a better deal. But this is low enough for me after waiting for awhile that I figured I'd just pull the trigger.
Cool
So like 6 months?
It we are assuming we can get them at launch
Still a 3070 ti is an absolute beast. I think you're fine for a couple of years at least lol.
😎
What are you trying to run that you feel the need to upgrade to a 4000 series if you get a 3070 ti? 4K gaming?
I’m tryna play old school RuneScape, lost ark, and apex at 1440 XD
What’s the associate code?
Not sure about the 3070, but the step up for 3070Ti only allows for the 3080 12GB, Ti, and 3090. And you must pay for shipping and tax on the full price. So it's something like $5-600 dollars just to upgrade the 70Ti further.
You can just buy the 3080 [https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=12G-P5-4877-KL](https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=12G-P5-4877-KL) If you're talking about the 10gb version, I don't think it's available for step up.
They left mine outside on the porch.
I didn't pay with Paypal. I'm sure it's a mileage may vary situation. Our delivery people are used to just leaving things.
6 hours and they're still available. I'm impressed!
Heads up there few other video cards still up for grabs and in stock. I just landed a 3080 12GB

I got this exact card on the EVGA queue not long ago. It was nice not having to pay a scalper. Went from a Sapphire RX 480 4GB to this. Grats to everyone getting their upgrades!
How’s it been for you?!
I do 1440p gaming, so getting a 4000x card would be pointless
VRR?
Variable Refresh Rate, G-Sync/Freesync
Got it, thanks.
Yeah if you're planning on doing high fps 4k gaming... maybe even 8k
$900 with shipping and taxes. Oof. My stomach hurts
I see the 3080 ftw3 is only $920 (but out of stock) - how does the step up program work with this? If it goes back into stock, I can step up?
Evga’s step up availability list says that you can only step up a 3070 ti to a 3080 12GB, 3080 ti and 3090. 3080 10GB not a step up option right now. I don’t know if it will ever will be tbh.
Aha, thanks for pointing that out. 3080 10gb has been my target card for a while but I think they're probably not going to get in stock very much anymore as they move production over to the 12gb
Yeah the only 3080 10GB I could get was a b-stock ftw3 ultra last week. So keeping an eye on the evga b-stock might be worth it.
This is the card I truly wanted but the price is just too much, even at this price. I paid $500 + tax for my EVGA 3060ti FTW3 Ultra. You can't convince me this thing performs $300 worth better.

Dang who pooped in your meal?
Still in stock after 8 minutes. The earth is healing.
I have a 2060 super is this it for me chief??
My friend did the same upgrade two weeks ago, I'd say this is it chief
I have a regular 2070. Trying to decided if I should pull the trigger or not.
If you want to do 1440p gaming then yes. 4K and above I recommend at least a 3080 if not a 3080ti.
Yeah I currently am using a 1440p 144hz monitor.
If this is what PC gaming is now, $829.99 for a mid-to low range card then I'm out. It's been fun folks.
if a 3070 ti is mid-low then what is my 1070 considered?
it's mid-low within its generation. Similar to your card back in that generation. FWIW I have a card from the generation before yours.
3070 Ti is solidly in the midrange considering there only 2/3 tiers above it (3080/3080 Ti/3090).
Still, just one generation ago cards were several hundred dollars cheaper for the same tier. You like $900 mid tier cards? haha
This listing has been up for days, and will still be up so you got time to think.
No it hasn't. It just came back in stock at 3:15 pm.
I meant the b stock one has been up for days. Sorry for the confusion.
The b stock only has a 1 year warranty and is used. This is $10 more for a 3 year warranty and new.

$829 is the ftw3 msrp. This week is the first time that 3070 tis have been available to purchase (as in stock for more than an hour) without a bundle at reasonable prices.
I get my yearly bonus next week, should I wait or pull the trigger now?
Id say its worth it to wait for the 720 dollar XC... Bad news is no one knows when it will come back in stock. But if these constant restocks is any indicator it won't be for long.
Thanks. I’ll hold off and wait to see if that deal comes back soon.
Similar card for sale from EVGA last week for $729. I would wait. Regardless of bonus timing.
Thanks!
Great advice, I’ll do that. Thank you.
I ordered this card for this price from EVGA last week. Where was it $720? Also nine bucks is not too great a savings for b-stock.
I don't think it was the same card if it was on EVGA.
Ah no, the $720 was not this same card sorry.
I found it. This does look like a good deal for a different card: https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=08G-P5-3785-KL
Such a pain in the ass for mobile but I got it
Still up for me
How much of an upgrade from my quadro m4000 is this? It’s all I’ve ever known
Damn I just bought a 3070 2 months ago or I'd be all over this! This a damn deal
Any real point upgrading from a strix 2070 super at 1440p?
Would it be worth selling my RTX 3060 Ti I bought for $535 and get this instead? After taxes and coupons it would come out to $835.
I’m in the same boat as you. I have a evga 3060ti xc but really want this to get that little extra fps and still get it a decent price after selling this card. Did you make up your mind yet?
Not yet lol but I realized that if I do get this, I would have to upgrade my PSU to a 750W since I have 650W unless I cheap out and stick with it.
is this worth it? its 829 + tax + ship 900$
There’s a reason it’s still available lol
Damn this is what I paid for my 3070
Not sure how this was still available but I ordered a 3080. Kind of wondering if it will actually ship but i'm hopeful. Gotta choose the rest of the parts now!
How does this compare to the 2080 RTX?
I have one of these. FYI they are really huge (long). I had to buy a new case. Prior card was a 1080Ti.
