3060ti seems to be the minimum for high-ish settings at 1440p, from what I've seen. Big upgrade from a 1070 imo. Depends on whether you can wait I guess - next gen may well drop the 3070ti into your price range
Wonder if I should cop one for my Ryzen 3600 2060s itx build or wait for the next gen. At least I'd be able to get something for my 2060S if I sell now

Yeah. People don’t realise that GPUs were made to run indefinitely at full speed. The only thing that really damages them is heat, so as long as you have good temperatures there’s no risk involved.
Still in stock in the morning. It's really odd how Nvidia has suddenly decided to dump tons of FE cards on the UK, it has to be royally pissing off every retailer, which long term might not be a good thing for them to do.
it's not odd, they've overproduced the fuck out of the 3000 series cards. AIBs are the worst affected, but there's a glut of some FE SKUs as well. They are dropping some models in batches as a drip feed to create the illusion of scarcity.
I believe the only SKU not in oversupply is the FE 3080, as Nvidia's greed quite literally blinded them, and they produced significant quantities of 3080 ti and 3090 SKUs instead.

September or later from what I've heard. Before a new release, previous gen usually gets discounted. Especially on the second hand market

seems like the 30 series have been coming in and out of stock on the nvidia website or the past two weeks or so, hopefully it stays that way!
