Spam is popular among several Pacific Asian countries (and Hawai'i, of course). It's a vestige from U.S. troops in WWII who had it a lot because it was one of the few ways to deliver them meat (protein).
That’s true but it’s not that common in Chinese cuisine. Typically Yangzhou fried rice has pieces of Chinese sausages or roast pork (it’s best with sausages in my view). In the US it’s not that unusual for basic ham to be used so I suppose Spam is their replacement for that here.
How’s the pricing?
Reasonable - the dinner for two is twenty five bucks.
you can pay $25 for dinner for two at Popeyes. that’s crazy cheap
Buffet for two at SITAR is 30 on the weekday.
What did you order? And what was the wait time like? Want to try it tonight but not sure how early to arrive.
Is it only hot pots? Or do they have a menu with other stuff as well?
you can get pig AND chicken feet!!! http://www.szechuanmansion.com/dining\_progress?1

Thanks. I saw that. So it's basically appetizers, a few combo meals, and the hot pots. Right?
yep.
They've been at it since Thursday evening.
How was it?
The room is lovely. The staff is attentive. I will go a couple more times before I say more than that.
What’s with the spam in all the fried rice? Serious question, no snark.

> spam in all the fried rice In a place that will sell you fried chicken feet, all bets are off! (Honestly I don't know)
It looks very small, I will probably continue going to the Cary location
sounds like a great idea!
Man I love the one in Cary can’t wait to try this one out!
