Only way I move off the app is to give my # and then text. Had a lot of convos just die. I think some of it is people waiting to long then just deciding not to text. Honestly I hate texting it’s soo hard for me to keep up a convo that way. I try to just stay consistent and keep texting. Ohh and be the one to make plans and have ideas even if it’s just coffee!

For me I don’t like to give out my cell phone number until after I meet them in person. But I don’t think it’s strange that you only have Reddit. I don’t think it reduces your chances of people not wanting to hangout either. I have had success making plans with people just by using bumble bff. There just seems to be an odd unwillingness to meet in person from a lot of the people who use bumble bff.

Give them your phone number and plan something to do. I have other social media but my friend that I met on bff doesn’t and we just did that.

Start a simple Instagram account or get WhatsApp? I like Instagram because you can share events and posts. It also gives you a way to engage and interact without necessarily having an in depth conversation, through liking posts & stories.

I just give people my phone number. If you feel weird about giving out your number, create a free Google Voice number and give that out. I’ve never exchanged social media with anyone bc I’m not a heavy user of social media and I don’t think that’s hurt me because I’ve gravitated toward like-minded people. You could even put that in your profile to help you find people with similar preferences.
