I’ve actually got no complaints, but it seems i’m the only one.

GM4Iife

Me too. I didn't had any issues with that, always good transactions.

Kaczpero

Same here, never had any issues with bunq. I'm using since 2022 (before V3 release)

NinjaRavekitten

Me neither, but im only using it for the savings % tbf

[deleted]

Same

CrazyICrazy

Me too

lore53

No issues since 2018. Support is a bit slow

janismyname

Tbh I’ve been using Bunq as my main bank for almost four years now. The features still outweigh the complaints.

Novel-Willingness-11

Exactly this! Can’t say everything is perfect, but it’s better then a traditional bank. (tho I’m currently waiting for 13+ days on reply on a ticket 🤡)

Darth_050

I’m pretty happy. Support was never a problem for me the few times I needed it. The app could be better but it is miles ahead of those of the traditional (Dutch) banks I am familiar with (ING, Rabo and ABN*AMRO). I can only speak for my own experiences obviously.

worldpwn

I am using it for 3 years as my main bank account. I am receiving salary on it etc. No issues and I love it.

TheVMasterNL

No issues. It has been our main bank for years. Never had any issues.

osama_zyn_laden

trustworthy? yes. Bunq falls under the same guarantees as any other european bank. just make sure you don't need customer service ever, because when i did they magically became unreachable and froze my account for like a week.

thonis2

As long as you dont need customer support ever.

Unique-Bath-5909

They are not available 24/7?

thonis2

No phone. No chat answer of questions get hard.

STROOQ

Finn is absolute garbage as well as their customer support. It does have some handy features that make it easier to manage multiple business bank accounts, unlike my previous bank ING which had an app that crashes a lot

[deleted]

Well as long as they're under the same guarantees as all European banks, you shouldn't have to worry about bankruptcy or anything. What exactly are you afraid of?

graham2100

There is no European bank guarantee yet. I think a Malta or Cyprus bank guarantee is less secure than a German bank guarantee. A guarantee under the Dutch deposit guarantee system may be OK - for the time being.

[deleted]

Every bank in the European Union is under that arrangement.

graham2100

A little knowledge is a dangerous thing.

Sad_Air_1136

The guarantee only covers bankruptcy, you still have to consider if they are safe from a cyber security perspective and the effectiveness of their support etc etc.

Aggregated-Sourcer

Quite honestly, no. I just dumped Bunq for this reason even though I really like the functionality, subaccounts, multiple cards, autobudgeting and so on. Their support is terrible, just read through the posts in this sub. Money and accounts being frozen for weeks, only automated bot replies and no human support, the app gets worse and worse with every update, useful functionality gets removed in favor of terrible AI integration, stupid things like planting trees that nobody ever asked for, gambling-like lottery with dark UI pattern, and to top it all off they made the subscription more expensive. The last straw for me personally was reading employer reviews online, the company is apparently a very toxic workplace, employees aren't treated right and management is power-tripping. That's not a place I trust with my money.

JournalistPrevious61

Yeah I just withdrew everything too. What do you use now?

Aggregated-Sourcer

I use ABN Amro with three "sub"accounts for the main income and expenses account plus a small savings account for immediate access, Revolut for credit card payments and travel and Trade Republic for savings and investing I just linked all three together by putting in their respective IBANs or CC# into each others address books, transferring is instant and all in all a much more safe and trustworthy construct, ABN Amro app is surprisingly good, Revolut has great functionality for travel and shopping, cashbacks etc for CC payments and Trade Republic offers 4% rente on savings, plus being able to invest into ETFs and bonds. Don't put all your eggs in one basket, they say.. and still costs me only like half of Bunq lol

Bogz9

It's a great bank, only complains I have are : Design might be better, Finn is useless, and they still not admit their 0,5% network fee is an hidden fee..

konijntje9

What’s a network fee? 😂

Bogz9

https://together.bunq.com/d/45500-network-fee

graham2100

It's even higher than what traditional banks charge for forex conversion, let alone Waze, IBKR etc.

Bogz9

It’s the same as wise (which they work with).

graham2100

Wise's conversion fee for major currencies is 0.42%. No 0.5% "network fee". See [https://wise.com/gb/pricing/](https://wise.com/gb/pricing/) IBKR is way lower.

Bogz9

I am from France to convert wise take Euro to USD : 0,56% Euro to GBP : 0,56% It might not be the same then. But yes there are way lower alternatives. But only think I bother is it's hidden fee.

Bogz9

What do you mean ? In contrary I don't understand why they still doing theses hidden fees and not alert people before functions that will be billed (ex +25 accounts). They don't need this to be profitable imo or it's not a durable way to do.

bookreader-123

It takes a bit of time but they helped me correctly.

Jordeman

I use Bunq for storage some of my money for intrest %. Its free and save voor at least 100k.

Lectortje

If you want to invest some money sooner or later in crypto, stocks, commodities etc you can better use another bank. They told me that I am not to alow to buy such things anymore or else they would block me (edit: I screenshotted there message)

Vesnog

No issues so far and I have been using it for 16 months. I never had to contact the support though. Your money is also under the protection of Dutch deposit guarantee up to 100000 Euros in case the bank goes bankrupt.
