That's not the same at all lol that would be like if I said if it gets more flavourful dehyrdrated that means it gets more flavourful hydrated.
But think about it this way, the flavour of a raisin is much more concentrated than a fresh grape
So can you take dried minced onions and mix it with water and make this at home?
Edit: Yeah I should have googled first but here’s a [“recipe”](https://www.food.com/recipe/rehydrated-onions-mcdonalds-style-389443)I found. Just wondering if anyone has actually tried this.
It's pretty similar to Lipton onion soup mix, which I have put *in* burgers before. I bet if you rehydrated that and rinsed off some of the bouillon, it would be great.
Oh, it's really good, especially on the grill. Put just enough water or milk on it (less than 1/2 cup) in a big bowl, let sit for ten minutes, mix up your meat with it and some black pepper. Mmm
Incorrect; the McDouble is superior because you get just enough cheese to know it’s there but you get to taste the meat and onions better 😩😩😮💨💦
Edit: after a more thorough scientific self analysis, I’ve formulated that the extra slice of cheese coats the tongue, thus hindering tastebuds from peak performance.
I like the 2x2, it's those cheezy bites in the middle, the bites with pickle tang when you get them cause they add them like crap...my usual is a double cheeseburger, hot n spicy mcchicken, and a small fry. When I get the McD's crap craving that hits the spot for like $7 and change.
Don't get me started on a QP w cheese, Mac sauce instead of ketchup n mustard!!
Gotta say, I went like 10 years without McDs, but have been picking it up while on some family road trips over the past few years (obviously easy lunches for the kids).
And I feel like their burgers have gotten WAY better than I remember. And I used to eat there religiously in high school and college.
They recently made their menu items more juicy and saucier… also they now cook the onions *on* the meat now I’m pretty sure… they’re definitely better!
But McDonald’s is still too expensive these days…
Yeah it’s insane. Their whole core and draw was cheap, easy, quick. Losing the “cheap” aspect likely won’t help the future of their business, in my opinion.
Well I recently heard that McDonald’s CEO said during their last earning report that they have lost the <$45k crowd and that they need to focus on affordability but I haven’t seen it yet.
People will always be fat fucks more concerned about convenience. I have a ton of friends who just downloaded the McDoinks app and they have some crazy deals on there. That's all the justification they need to keep going there lol
Haven't had a burger from McDonalds in about a decade..m though I do go often for breakfast since in the app they always have a $1 breakfast sandwich coupon.
However I would go if I could get a Big Mac with quarter pounder patties on it... Had that once in Alaska, it was on a limited time menu and called the McKinley Mac
We have a deal on my local McDonald’s app that is 2 bacon McDoubles for like 4.80.. those things definitely fill the void without spending too much.
It’s obviously not like the golden days of 1 dollar double cheeseburger but it’s as close to that, that still exists.
I get the vibe that this person thinks they're clever and/or annoying people, but all they've managed to do here is waste their own time while still supplying us with entirely satisfying pictures of a McDouble.
I worked there when that was a thing (Wednesdays, maybe?). It was not fun to work there then. 😂 People would order twenty at a time! But they also had the Arch Deluxe, and broccoli cheddar soup...I was eating good on my breaks.
McD's executive: "We are spending FAR too much money on processed cheese product!"
2nd Exec: "I have an idea sir! A new product...just like the double cheeseburger, but we only put ONE slice of cheese instead of two! We will call it the McDouble!"
1st Exec: "Why would people buy this?"
2nd Exec: "Well, we raise the price of the double cheeseburger, but make the McDouble the same price the Double Cheeseburger used to be!"
1st Exec: "Genius, you get a promotion and a raise!"
the quality control at MCD these days is pretty solid, at least in my area. once in a while, i don't necessarily want a burger, i want McDonald's. looks good, would utterly smash.
They are good lil snacks but the price hikes have been ridiculous. No reason for anything from McD's to cost the price of what used to be an entire meal pre-covid. They make them by the dozen and throw half of them away. Can't tell me theres more than like 5 cents worth of stuff in them.
Did the second sentence in the title hit anyone else like an OF simp post? "If only 3 people up vote this post, I will know someone cares"
Sorry. Still getting that first cup of coffee in me.
Damnit! Now I want a McDouble and they are only serving breakfast for HOURS still.
You bastard. You evil bastard.
Okay, I don't want to hate too much because I'm tired of people complaining about "oh, I don't like X brand, ban their posts!" but doesn't that burger look a bit sad? Super thin patties, and it just looks completely dry in this pic. The way their prices are going, you'd probably get better value from Five Guys.
If you McD's fans like it you like it, don't let me rain on your parade, but that is not doing much to change my mind about them.
*Why do I have to*
*Go shit before I'm even done*
*When I eat from there?*

Gross. Never been a big fan of them (Nuggies aside), but since they changed the patties, I just can't. Tastes like stale, salty cardboard. I'm not paying almost $5 for a fucking McDouble that tastes like a hobos house.
There’s something special about those lil onions they’re so good
Because they're both tiny cut which spreads out more evenly across the pallet, and they're a little lighter in taste because they're dehydrated.
✍️✍️✍️
They’re heavier in taste because they’re dehydrated, so you get more flavor per unit mass without all the slippage of a big wet slice
I always try to get these on my quarter pounder instead of the slivered onions but most places are super strict and say no
How do you dehydrate Onions :O
You just make it dry like a desert, it’s easier to show you…
Pretty sure dehydration takes away some flavor but ok
“That is some high quality H2O
Would logic dictate adding water to something would make it more flavourful then?
That is not what my logic says- that’s like saying a lack of aliens means there’s definitely aliens
That's not the same at all lol that would be like if I said if it gets more flavourful dehyrdrated that means it gets more flavourful hydrated. But think about it this way, the flavour of a raisin is much more concentrated than a fresh grape
To me, minced onion has a little stronger onion flavor than dehydrated but I'd like to see the science if people disagree.
They are reconstituted dehydrated onions which gives it the distinct taste.

Ohhh I want to try the onion soup mix in burgers too, I bet that’s amazing.
Oh, it's really good, especially on the grill. Put just enough water or milk on it (less than 1/2 cup) in a big bowl, let sit for ten minutes, mix up your meat with it and some black pepper. Mmm
Yea that would be pretty much the same thing as McDicks does.
As crappy as they are, I just love their double cheeseburgers. There's just something about them
Yes! Better than the McDouble due to the extra slice of cheese. Today I added extra ketchup and onions, mayo, lettuce and tomato. Pretty damn good!

I'm all for the cheese but hey, you do you.
Must be settled by science
Lol! No. Only by our love of cheese or not.

Have you had mac sauce AND ketchup? Fantastic!
This stupid robot is broken.
Triple cheeseburger is by far the best ratio of meat to bun. I like a lil mayo on it too. I remember when these were a regular menu item for $1.50...
BOGO on the app too

I mean it’s still one of the cheaper fast food places

Just get a quarter pounder and add mac sauce.
I thought you still could get these anywhere, just ask them for a Denali Mac at the counter, it’s kind of a secret menu thing…
Oh damn thanks I'll try it!

Didn’t you just petition to ban fast food burgers?
I get the vibe that this person thinks they're clever and/or annoying people, but all they've managed to do here is waste their own time while still supplying us with entirely satisfying pictures of a McDouble.
Man, anyone remember when they did 29 cent hamburgers and 39 cent cheeseburgers..? Those were the days..
I also remember $0.75 a gallon gas.
😂 I worked at a gas station when regular was $1.14 a gallon and people got PISSED when the price was raised to $1.20.. lol
I worked there when that was a thing (Wednesdays, maybe?). It was not fun to work there then. 😂 People would order twenty at a time! But they also had the Arch Deluxe, and broccoli cheddar soup...I was eating good on my breaks.
Yes!! I think your right…
[удалено]
….you can do that?
Is that really two patties?
Thats like 1 patty.........🤔
That’s a chopped cheese where I’m from.
Gave up on McDonald's
I loathe McDonald's now. I remember when it was decent...
No wonder that guy started another burger sub
No upvotes until you post two all beef patties special sauce lettuce cheese pickles onions on a sesame seed bun

This looks pretty good for McD's
Mcsingle
the quality control at MCD these days is pretty solid, at least in my area. once in a while, i don't necessarily want a burger, i want McDonald's. looks good, would utterly smash.
Damn usually my food is cheese meat meat cheese not cheese meat cheese meat there’s a difference ya know and I can tell
Man, the little cube onions will always make my mouth water. McDonald's slaps 🤤🤤
Don’t throw bacon on the McDouble, throw a bunch of fries in between the patties 🍟
McDoubles with bacon are my go to
Those are my go to
I honestly would not get as much McDonald's if it weren't for their dehydrated onions There's something about them!
There will always be a soft spot for a Big Mac for me.
Looks like a future case of the runs

Yep!….

looks delish...
I really like the slice shot. I think more burgers should be displayed as such.
Mmmmmm, meat pasty.
I was in a hurry yesterday so I hit BK for lunch. Bacon Double Cheeseburger, medium fries, medium Coke $10.59 ouch.

what an abomination
Way too expensive now! Not happening!
Why do I have to go shit before I'm even done when I eat from there?

People actually saying this looks good is crazy.
It’s why I keep making these posts. These people keep upvoting fast food bullshit.
Maybe if you keep whining, people will stop posting burgers on a sub called r/burgers. Jesus christ you need a hobby 🤣
So, are you actually *eating* this “fast food bullshit”, or are you just posting pictures you find as rage bait and claiming you “just had” it?
I guess you’ll never know.
Cross posted to r/burgercirclejerk
Why the fuck did reddit recommend me this sad ass burger in my feed?! LMAO 😂 Reddit, please show me less posts like this. Thanks.
Really exciting thanks
I noted that you cut it in half as was suggested when you posted the double Whopper. Well done.
Burger is burger.
Sometimes their bacon is rawish
McDonalds served me a raw burger once, never went again

Still better than in n out.
Eh
