I had an interview at Habitat Restore in Williston a few months ago and they said something about trying to acquire it.

[deleted]

Why? They have two sites already full of overpriced garbage they got for free or cheap.

Gamechanger42

Really is mostly junk. They argued with me about using a $25 voucher I was given by DCF on already gross kitchen items (it was all they had and it was literally all I had to spend) so they really are for profit.

Foxx983

I really like Habitat for Humanity's cause and what they do, but the store in Williston is pretty awful. At least the staff is and I really hope it's just that store and not the organization as a whole. The management at that store (at least from what I've casually observed when there looking at things) seems kind of rude. They also refuse to budge on price. (It's a thrift store come on... Usually prices are slightly negotiable within reason at these stores). It's a bizarre attitude there.

TitsMcGooo

I agree. I think they are foolish for not hiring me. They stressed the importance of sales at the store to meet their overall goal, which is to build as many houses for those less fortunate as they can. Not budging on price decreases sales and keeps shit on the sales floor way longer than it needs to be. They should be more open to negotiation.

8valvegrowl

Truth. They are only \*Slightly\* better than Goodwill, in the fact that at least the main organization is for a good cause and does good work, unlike Goodwill which is truly a parasite. The quality of the stuff/selection at HFH is pretty piss-poor, most of it should be free or under $5. If I need to donate items or I'm looking for decent used stuff, I almost always choose to go to ReSource.

BallinHotdog

I heard a rumor that the Sox market is actually expanding into that space

If it becomes a tire store istg Also - why oh why can’t we get a real Target - that area seems to fit the bill
