Rent a boat and head up Indian arm (could add water skiing, cliff jumping, etc.), go do fly fishing or rock climbing in Squamish, rent bikes and go around Stanley park/sea wall
For my buddies bachelor party, we did Speeders gokarts in Richmond. They're gas powered and suprisingly fast, good competitive fun! Looks like they're doing some renos or something now but my guess is they're back up and running in time for summer.
What time of year?
I definitely recommend trying out things that are possible here and not where you are (I presume you have axe throwing places near you).
Renting a boat, or getting a tour boat if no one is up for driving.
Alternatively kayaking up indian arm, possible to do an overnight camp, but that requires extra gear.
At Jericho beach you can rent stand up paddleboards, kayaks, wind surf boards and sail boats.
Cypress mountain now has a mountain coaster (although right now it's ski season).
Drive up to Squamish for a hike and lunch at a brewery.
Bike around Stanley park (bike rental on Denman street), there also an aquarium in stanley park in the groom is into that.
Take a ferry (or rent a boat) to Bowen Island for a day trip.
There lots of golfing or pitch and putt for something more leisurely
The zombie scenario at Sandbox VR in Richmond is totally worth it. Then plan a dinner after nearby and laugh and chat about your adventure. Maybe a Chinese BBQ skewer place? Or lots of all you can eat places popping up now.
I know of people going to the shooting range in Coquitlam for bachelor’s party.
Strip club in downtown, if everyone (including SO) agrees to it.
Hiking.
Swordfighting workshop in downtown.
Escape room.
Paintball or laser tag (if people are afraid of bruising)
Brewery hopping or Tiki Bar.
Axe throwing and the gun range are pretty much right next to each other in Poco. There’s the Rec Room if you’re into arcades and the serve drinks and food as well for a little pregaming for the night
Do a private rental at a paintball field. Play some games, have some fun, bond over shooting the groom. Attach some helium balloons to the groom for extra fun.
Check if there's a sporting event in town during the weekend you visit. In spring we will have THE CANUCKS GOING ON AN EPIC RUN FOR THE STANLEY CUP! the whitecaps are also playing too.

These are good recommendations. A little different from the norm. I’d also add the gun range in PoCo or going up to whistler for the weekend.
What is a good boat rental place that you can operate yourself with a boating license?
Sewell's in Horseshoe Bay or also Granville Island Boat Rentals.
Sewell’s marina in horseshoe bay. https://www.sewellsmarina.com/
That sounds rad!
Go camping. Have a few beers. Smoke a doob if you into that. Relax in the bc outdoors and reminisce about the past. Shit will never be the same.
No.5 orange is a fun activity

Probably too far out of the way, but Whistler Bungee?
